After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 646: Chapter 650: Prophecy Emperor, Leng Zirui [1]

Hospital.

Leng Lin’s ward.

Shen Yizhou was in Leng Lin’s ward, reminding him to have a fasting blood test in the morning when he heard his phone ring. He reached into his pocket, pulled out the mobile, and saw it was Leng Zimo calling. He immediately handed the sheet he was holding to a nurse.

”Uncle Leng, rest for now. I need to take a call.” He walked to a quieter part of the ward before answering, ”Hello, this is Yizhou.”

”I need you to arrange a reliable obstetrician for Xiao Qian.”

”Obstetrician?” Shen Yizhou was taken aback. ”Is Xiao Qian really pregnant?”

”It’s not confirmed yet, but I want someone to check her out.”

”It’s late now, and even if I find someone, the hospital staff from other departments won’t be available. Here’s what we’ll do—I’ll get everything set up for you, and you bring Xiao Qian over first thing tomorrow morning.” Knowing his temperament, Shen Yizhou added with a smile, ”However, if you can’t wait, you could just buy a pregnancy test from the pharmacy. They’re simple, convenient, and quite accurate.”

”Alright,” Leng Zimo agreed, ”how’s my dad doing?”

”He’s in good spirits now. Tomorrow I’ll help him with the fasting blood test and then run a series of examinations. Don’t worry too much.”

”Then I’ll see you at the hospital tomorrow.” Leng Zimo hung up the phone.

By then, Leng Zirui had also stepped out of the ward.

”My brother?”

”Yes!” Shen Yizhou turned with a smile. ”You devil are almost like the Prophecy Emperor. Zimo just called to say Xiao Qian might really be pregnant and asked me to arrange for a doctor to check her.”

”Really?!” Leng Zirui’s face lit up with joy. ”This is a good sign. I believe Dad will be fine!”

”Yeah!” Shen Yizhou patted his shoulder with a laugh, ”He definitely will be!”

...

...

On the road.

”Yizhou said he’ll have everything ready for us first thing in the morning, and we should get a pregnancy test to try it out ourselves first.” Leng Zimo made a U-turn and headed back to World City. ”You threw up everything you ate just now, are you hungry?”

”A little,” Luo Xiaoqian leaned back in her seat. ”You mentioned earlier that you had something to tell me, what is it?”

Leng Zimo pursed his lips, ”Dad’s test results aren’t looking good.”

Luo Xiaoqian immediately sat up, looking at him worriedly, ”Is it serious?”

”We’ll see with a series of tests tomorrow.”

Luo Xiaoqian’s expression fell. ”It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have lost my temper at him like that. Honestly, I know Uncle Leng wasn’t trying to shield Xu Pei.”

”Don’t start with the wild guesses now. Dad’s issue isn’t from the fall, but from a kidney problem that was detected.” Leng Zimo comforted her by stroking her head. ”Actually, we should thank you. He’s always hated hospitals and only ever gets a cursory checkup at home. If he hadn’t fallen this time, we might still be unaware of his kidney condition. You shouldn’t worry too much either. What Yizhou meant is that it might just be a minor kidney injury. After all, it’s normal for internal organs to age as people get older.”

”Uncle Leng will be fine,” Luo Xiaoqian said as she touched her stomach and looked at Leng Zimo with a smile. ”I’m positive that we’ll have double the blessings tomorrow!”

”We will,” Leng Zimo smiled too. ”But I can’t wait until tomorrow. Let’s go buy that pregnancy test now.”
