After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 643: Chapter 647: The Upgraded Version of the Stratagem of Self-Injury [3]

Leng Zirui walked out of the ward, Xiao Liu had just received a dinner from Aunt Su for Leng Lin, instructing the two to take good care of the old master, and Leng Zirui headed straight for Shen Yizhou’s office.

Shen Yizhou was studying Leng Lin’s medical report when he saw him come in and immediately stood up.

”How is it, is Uncle Leng’s work done?”

”Yes,” Leng Zirui sighed, ”For this matter, I will need your cooperation.”

”Me?” Shen Yizhou asked in confusion.

Leng Zirui briefly explained his plan to Shen Yizhou.

”This is indeed a good idea, and it will allow me to conduct examinations with ease, but...” he looked at Leng Zirui with some concern, ”aren’t you also involving Zimo and Xiao Qian in this?”

Leaning forward to sit on the desk, Leng Zirui lazily swung his long legs, taking a cigarette from his pocket and fiddling with it between his fingers.

”Actually, I know that my dad’s biggest wish now is to see both of us get married and have children. I’m running out of time, so this time, it’s only right to trouble my elder brother and Xiao Qian to fulfill his wish.”

Indeed, he was doing this to keep Leng Lin at ease in the hospital for his recovery, but another thought he had was to use this incident to push for Leng Zimo’s marriage to Luo Xiaoqian.

The father was getting old, and with such an incident occurring this time, who could guarantee he wouldn’t really collapse?

Shen Yizhou heard the depth in his tone and nodded softly.

Leng Zirui then took out his phone from his pocket and dialed Leng Zimo’s number.

”I’ve already taken care of things, but I need you and Xiao Qian to cooperate...”

...

...

In the restaurant.

”Okay,” Leng Zimo agreed and hung up the phone, ”I understand, I’ll tell Xiao Qian.”

Across the table, Luo Xiaoqian put down her cutlery and looked over worriedly.

”What happened?”

”Don’t ask now, eat your meal first, we’ll talk after you’ve finished,” Leng Zimo looked at her nearly empty plate and pushed his own plate in front of her, ”I’m not very hungry, you eat this too!”

With his father’s condition weighing on his mind, he really had no appetite, and watching her eat so deliciously, it wasn’t hard for him to see that a single portion of pasta hardly seemed enough to fill her.

”But you haven’t eaten a single bite?” Luo Xiaoqian looked across the table at his face, ”Are you in a bad mood, or feeling unwell...”

As she spoke, she suddenly felt a bout of discomfort in her stomach.

Frantically grabbing her bag, she stood up with her mouth covered and ran toward the direction of the restroom.

”Xiao Qian!”

Leng Zimo chased after her with concern, holding onto her arm, ”What’s wrong?”

”Uh...”

Luo Xiaoqian mumbled through her hand, spotting a trash can beside the washroom ahead, and immediately rushed over to vomit the pasta she had just eaten.

Leng Zimo busied himself fetching tissues to wipe her face and carefully patted her back.

After a while, Luo Xiaoqian stopped vomiting and straightened up, walking over to the washroom to wash her hands and face.

”Feeling any better?” Taking a tissue to carefully wipe the water off her face, Leng Zimo furrowed his brows with worry in his eyes, ”Aunt Su said you vomited during lunch too, could it be your stomach acting up again?”

”Maybe I got a little carsick this morning, it’s nothing.” Luo Xiaoqian returned with a reassuring smile, ”I’ll be fine after a rest.”

”That won’t do!” Leng Zimo reached out to touch her forehead and took her bag from the side, ”Come on, I’m taking you to the hospital for a check-up.”
