After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 619: Chapter 623: Not Forgiving [4]

Leng Zirui hung up the phone, and Seo Shaochuan walked to his car nearby, took out gloves and put them on, then opened Xu Pei’s purse.

Apart from keys, wallet, mobile phone, cosmetics, and other women’s items, there was nothing of particular interest in the bag. Seo Shaochuan was not ready to let it go and poured out all the contents to carefully feel around the lining.

Apart from the wallet, mobile phone, cosmetics, and other women’s items, there was nothing of particular interest in the bag, but Seo Shaochuan was not ready to let it go and poured out all the contents to carefully feel around the lining.

As a result, he actually discovered something unusual. He carefully unzipped it and saw in the inner compartment of the purse, there was a mobile phone that hadn’t been turned on.

The mobile phone was very new, without any screen protector or case.

”Carrying a new mobile phone in the purse for no reason, what kind of strange habit is this?!” Seo Shaochuan immediately turned the phone on, ”Let’s see if it’s hiding any secrets!”

There were no files in the mobile phone. He thought for a moment, then used it to dial his own number, and afterwards deleted the call record.

By then, his own phone had already started ringing. He glanced at the number of Leng Zirui and immediately answered the call.

”How is it?” Leng Zirui asked over the phone.

”There’s a wallet, mobile phone, cosmetics, and other things in the purse that you’d expect. Also, inside the lining, there’s a new phone that hasn’t been turned on,” Seo Shaochuan reported.

”A new phone?!” Leng Zirui hesitated for a moment on the other end of the line, ”Turn it on and check!”

”I’ve already checked. The call logs and message inbox are all clean, no photos or anything like that. However, I’ve observed carefully, and based on the battery life left and the marks on the phone’s screen, it seems to have been used before. It’s just that the records inside were probably deleted,” Seo Shaochuan said.

After all, being a scout trained by Leng Zirui, Seo Shaochuan’s observational skills were naturally sharp.

”Good, I’ll hang up now. Call my phone with that number, remember to delete the call log, then put everything back as it was, and drop it off at the bar counter. Be careful not to expose your identity, and come back to talk,” Leng Zirui ordered and then ended the call.

Moments later, his phone rang, but was cut off after just one beep.

Knowing that the number was from Xu Pei’s new phone, Leng Zirui casually took a note pad, jotted down the phone number, and handed it over to his subordinate, ”Get me the call records of this number.”

The subordinate took the note and left. He saved the number into his phone.

Soon, the subordinate returned, now holding a fax along with the note that had the phone number written on it.

”These are the call records obtained from the telecom company. The records show only a few calls, with zero call duration, meaning the owner of the phone didn’t answer any calls. Also, I checked the details of the person who made the calls, the owner of the phone is listed as Su Jin!”

”Good!”

Leng Zirui took the note and the fax, his eyebrows furrowing once more.

Su Jin?

Wasn’t that the name of the Emperor View artist his brother had mentioned?

Xu Pei, oh Xu Pei, how could you use all your smarts on things like this?!

...

...

Inside the black Audi.

Xu Pei raised her hand to rub her temple, which was starting to ache.
