After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 642: Chapter 646: The Upgraded Version of the Stratagem of Self-Injury [2]

”Deception is all fair in war, whether it’s a lousy idea or a bad idea, as long as it can achieve the wonderful goal of getting them married soon and bearing you a great-grandson, then it’s a good idea.” Leng Zirui sent a flirtatious glance to Leng Lin, ”Old man, what do you say, isn’t that right?”

Leng Lin thought for a moment, ”Let’s hear it first.”

”It’s simple, just that it’ll be a bit troublesome for you to hide here for a few more days. We’ll team up with Shen Yizhou to stage a tragic drama, claiming you’ve got a terminal illness and your only dying wish is to see them get married and have children soon. Do you think they could refuse?”

Leng Lin gave him a look and threw the empty cup in his hand at him.

”You play dead!”

He couldn’t believe this brat came up with the idea of faking his death.

If those two youngsters ever found out, wouldn’t they die laughing?

Leng Zimo, that guy, hated being manipulated the most. God knows how he would blow his top at him then.

Leng Zirui neatly caught the hurled cup in his palm.

Setting the cup on the table, he turned his face to look at his father.

”If you’re not willing, then forget it. Why lose your temper, okay okay okay, you’re just after a great-grandson, right? Just wait, tomorrow morning I will find a girl and go at it for three hundred rounds. I refuse to believe I can’t get her pregnant!”

”Get lost!”

Leng Lin cursed again, though his anger had diminished somewhat.

”Ah—” Leng Zirui let out an exaggerated long sigh, ”I knew it, I just must be the son my mom had with another man. Otherwise, why wouldn’t you like the look of me? Take it as though I said nothing, just as if I let out a fart. Happy now?”

Leng Lin glared at him but said nothing.

Meanwhile, Leng Zirui continued, ”But really, I am a bit worried. Xiao Qian is so thin and frail. If she miscarries this time, it won’t affect her ability to have children later on, right? In case she can’t have them later, my big brother definitely won’t change his wife; then you’ll only have me to count on...”

”Counting on you, I might as well give up on the dream of being a grandfather in this lifetime,” Leng Lin sighed softly, ”but I do have concerns about Xiao Qian’s health.”

Seeing his dad’s stance soften, Leng Zirui immediately added fuel to the fire, ”No worries, isn’t there stuff like IVF these days? If not, why not just clone? When the time comes, clone triplets or quintuplets, and give you a full house in one go!”

”Nonsense,” Leng Lin folded his arms, taking a moment before speaking again, ”this plan of yours, could it work?”

”What’s not to work? Just call Shen Yizhou over, give an order, and he’ll be at your command. Only heaven, earth, you, me, and Shen Yizhou will know about this; no one else will have a clue. Once their wedding date is set, we just say the hospital got it wrong; it was all a big mistake. By then, with Xiao Qian’s belly bulging, how could they dare call off the wedding?” Leng Zirui slapped his chest, ”I assure you, by joining forces, we will definitely fool these enemy forces. Just give the nod and I’ll go straight to Brother Yizhou. I’m telling you, if this ever gets out, I, Leng Zirui, will take full responsibility and won’t rat you out. Is that alright now?”

Leng Lin was still hesitant, but Leng Zirui had already stood up.

”I’m off to work on winning over our ally, Shen Yizhou. Just wait for my good news!”

It wasn’t easy to capture this strategic high ground of Leng Lin’s support; he dared not delay any further. If the old man changed his mind, it would be much harder to hoodwink him again.
