Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 739: Chapter 382: I’m Still a Baby Myself (First Update)

How could Nick Zeller dare let Gabrielle Winters feed him dessert?

Getting teased by Lawrence Winters, he felt angry but didn’t dare speak out.

Just as he was about to roll his eyes at her, he suddenly felt a cool sweet taste on his lips, with a hint of sourness...

Nick Zeller slowly lowered his gaze and saw a white porcelain spoon already at his lips.

Following the spoon forward, he saw Gabrielle Winters’ extremely gentle and graceful face.

Unlike Lawrence’s bright and fairy-like appearance, she had a scholarly air, elegant like a university humanities professor who had just walked out of a classroom.

Compared to back then, Gabrielle Winters inevitably showed traces of time on her face, but he was still madly in love with her.

Actually, he liked her no matter how she looked, not because she was his favorite appearance, but because the appearance he liked was precisely her.

Gabrielle Winters actively feeding him dessert...

Nick Zeller momentarily forgot to bicker with Lawrence, foolishly grinning and opening his mouth wide, devouring whatever Gabrielle fed him.

Lawrence initially meant to tease a bit, but never expected her usually reserved-as-a-university-professor mom would actually feed dessert with her own hands!

She hurriedly covered her eyes, deliberately saying loudly, ”Ah ah ah! Not suitable for children! Not suitable for children! If you two are flaunting your love, can’t you take it to your room?!”

Nick Zeller grinned at her and said, ”You’re already an adult, what’s not suitable for children, trying to act young?”

Lawrence snorted, turned her head, took the bowl from Kenneth Osborne’s hand, and quickly finished the dessert, saying, ”You two go to the room to eat, I’m going to clean up the table!”

Nick Zeller glared at her and said, ”I haven’t eaten enough yet! What are you cleaning up the table for?!”

Lawrence just wanted to facepalm.

Was her master out of his mind?

The wedding night is precious, yet he’s still focused on eating dessert?

Wouldn’t it be better to ”eat” back in the room?

Lawrence knocked on the table, winking at Nick Zeller, ”Dad, it’s the wedding night, do you want to spend it in the dining room?”

Nick Zeller’s face flushed red as if he’d had too much to drink, his whole being was dazed.

Gabrielle Winters initially wanted to pretend she didn’t hear, but Nick Zeller snatched the small bowl from her hand and drank it dry, saying, ”Alright, finished eating, you guys can clean up the table now.”

He stood up hurriedly, saying, ”I’m going to take a shower.”

Watching his tall figure disappear around the dining room corner, Gabrielle Winters then calmly stood up and said, ”Your dad drank a bit too much, I’ll go check on him...”

She also left the dining room.

Lawrence had to control herself to not burst out laughing.

The old Daoist also seemed quite happy, chuckling for a while, and said, ”Alright, I’m heading back too.”

Lawrence saw him heading in a different direction, not towards his old room.

”Grandmaster, where are you going?” Lawrence pointed to the old Daoist’s former room, ”Shouldn’t you be staying over there?”

The old Daoist’s old room was in between Nick Zeller and Gabrielle Winters’ room.

The old Daoist chuckled and said, ”I gave my room to them for their new home. Now those three suites over there are all their rooms.”

”I’ll be staying on the same side as you and Kenneth.”

Lawrence let out a long ”Oh—,” feeling quite happy inside.

With how clingy Nick Zeller was with her mom, she might indeed become a big sister in a year.

With this beautiful wish in mind, Lawrence and Kenneth Osborne stayed in the kitchen, imagining a future with little brothers and sisters.

Kenneth, on the other hand, didn’t feel particularly different; it made no difference to him whether Lawrence had siblings or not.

He wasn’t a man overflowing with emotions; in his heart, he first thought of her, then her family.

However, Lawrence had a particularly infectious way of speaking; seeing her so happy, Kenneth looked at her and smiled, saying, ”...Actually, if we had a child, they could be this cute too.”

Lawrence blinked, holding her face and deliberately said, ”That’s not possible, I’m still a baby myself!”

”...Understood, let’s talk about it in a few years.” Kenneth wasn’t in any rush.

They were both still young, their careers just starting; it wasn’t too late to have kids once they were established.

He didn’t want someone else to raise their child; it had to be them.

As the two were happily chatting in the kitchen, the old Daoist, after showering and sitting in meditation on the balcony, overheard a bit.

When Lawrence and Kenneth finished tidying up the kitchen and were about to head back to their room, the old Daoist called Lawrence into his room.

”Grandmaster, what’s up?” Lawrence curiously sat down in front of him.

The old Daoist sighed and said softly, ”Lawrence, I know you want your mom and your master to live a harmonious life together, but living harmoniously doesn’t necessarily mean having children. So, don’t bring up the topic of children in front of your mom and your master in the future.”
