Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 731: Chapter 378: Beauty Is in the Eye of the Beholder (Second Update, 1200+ Monthly Tickets)

”How could that be? My mom isn’t like that!” Edward Foster praised his mother fervently, clearly showing a close mother-son relationship.

Lawrence Winters had met Mrs. Foster and knew she was indeed a good mother and wife.

Seeing Edward getting anxious, Lawrence quickly said, ”I know Mrs. Foster is an especially good person. Your future wife is lucky to have such a good mother-in-law. Her married life will be very happy.”

Edward turned away upon hearing that and couldn’t help but smile, his face slightly flushed.

But the more he thought about it, the more something didn’t feel right.

This was obviously a tone of distancing...

Wishing him a good wife was just a declaration that she didn’t want to be his wife, wasn’t it?

The blush on Edward’s face gradually faded. He didn’t turn back but only said, ”Well then, it’s settled. In two days, my mom will come to pick you up to attend the Sheldon Family’s little princess’s 21st coming-of-age ceremony together.”

Lawrence nodded with a smile, thinking that tomorrow is also her 21st birthday...

She wondered what gifts her mom, master, grandmaster, and Kenneth Osborne would prepare for her tomorrow.

When it was five in the afternoon, Edward specially left the company with her.

The two walked to the company parking lot, and Edward suddenly stopped her, smiling, ”Lawrence, I know tomorrow is your birthday, and you’ll definitely celebrate it with your family.”

If Lawrence were to throw a birthday party, she would have informed friends and colleagues at least a week in advance.

But as Edward waited until now and Lawrence hadn’t mentioned her birthday at all, he realized that she probably wouldn’t celebrate it with outsiders.

In that case, he had no choice but to give her a birthday present in advance.

Lawrence burst into laughter, this time her smile was genuine, showing two adorable dimples.

”Thank you, young Master Fu, for remembering my birthday!” Lawrence joked, bowing to Edward with a chivalrous old-fashioned gesture.

”You helped me a lot this time. If it weren’t for you recommending Kenneth’s company for special effects, our project wouldn’t have been so successful,” Edward said sincerely, not at all influenced by ’love is blind.’

He was genuinely grateful to Lawrence.

Without Kenneth Osborne’s special effects, the glorious success of this fantasy drama would have been impossible.

Lawrence was even happier, smiling with crescent-shaped eyes, her unusually dark pupils narrowing in joy. Her expression was of pure delight, like a charming little ragdoll cat, beautiful yet unaware.

”We should also thank young Master Fu for giving us the opportunity. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have gotten such a high commission!”

Edward smiled slightly, turned around, and reached out to press the key in his hand.

On the wall side of the parking lot was a row of parking spots with exclusive roll-up doors.

Edward pressed a remote control switch, and the roll-up door rumbled and automatically rolled up, revealing a sapphire-blue sports car with a blue bow!

Lawrence’s eyes lit up instantly, she covered her mouth with her hand, as if even her breathing had stopped.

Edward smiled and said, ”An Aston Martin DBS sports car, with the highest ratings in overall, appearance, comfort, and performance. Usually, men drive such sports cars, but I know your driving skills are excellent, and this car is tailor-made for you.”

Lawrence, who knew a lot about cars, immediately recognized it as one of Aston Martin’s most famous sports cars.

The elegant and generous design wasn’t as avant-garde as other sports cars, and its performance was way beyond others, known as the fashion king in professional sports cars!

Lawrence had always liked this sports car before, and its price wasn’t considered very expensive, fully loaded only four million; her master Nick Zeller’s Grand Cherokee was over a million...

Aston Martin is a world-class luxury brand!

Furthermore, the obsidian-like sapphire blue was her favorite car color!

Edward took her hand, placing the car key in it, and said seriously, ”This was actually ordered as your wedding gift, but I don’t know when you’ll have the wedding banquet, and since tomorrow is your birthday, I’m giving it to you now. Just so you know, when you do have a wedding banquet, I won’t give any gifts, only come for a free meal!”

Lawrence’s gaze lingered lovingly over the car’s body for a long while before shaking her head, ”Young Master Fu, this gift is too expensive, I can’t accept it.”

”Oh, spare me the act. Four million, why is that expensive?” Edward smirked, ”Are you looking down on my status as the Foster family heir? To me, four million is like four hundred.”
