Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 728: Chapter 377: Takeoff on the Spot (First Update)

Half an hour before the first night’s broadcast, NewHuman Entertainment Company even held a lottery drawing event on social media.

The one million prize money caused a huge sensation.

Because of the recent saturation exposure and the negative news about the special effects company, everyone’s expectations for this drama were not so high.

Seeing the production company also holding a lottery further confirmed that the drama was ”lacking in quality, relying on lotteries,” and was even labeled as ”a flop to the core of the Earth.”

Many people, with a gloating mindset, were waiting to see the biggest flop drama of the year!

That would be the real explosive news!

So on this day, many people who don’t usually watch TV were also eagerly waiting in front of the TV to see how the drama king would crash and burn.

They all believed this was the type of drama that the general public truly found entertaining.

As a result, five minutes after the first episode aired, topics quickly emerged on social media:

#Who am I, where am I, what am I watching?#

#Sorry, did I tune into the wrong channel? Is this an international blockbuster produced by Micro Tower tonight?#

#Where are my fifty-cent special effects Xianxia???!#

Ten minutes later, the topic changed to:

#Wow! This scene transformation, one moment heaven! One moment Hell!#

#I swear I’ve seen this scene, in my dreams! My Xianxia dream ahhh!#

#Aaaaah! My Blue Boy! My Senior Brother! How can you be so celestial and demonic!!! AWSL!!!#

Twenty minutes later, social media unexpectedly quieted down.

No one continued to post topics.

Every viewer was deeply engrossed by the dazzling scenes and gripping pace, so captivated that they couldn’t bear to look away to check their phones.

When the first episode ended, many people hurriedly switched back to the recorded version, determined to watch it again!

At this time, social media buzzed with new trending topics.

#I love Senior Brother, where’s the next episode?#

This topic instantly topped the trending list, and the accounts of the two television stations broadcasting the first-run were almost overwhelmed by the countless tags.

And when the TV ratings were released the next day, this Xianxia drama, with a premiere rating of 21%, not only left yesterday’s top rating of 3% far behind but also vastly exceeded last year’s overall ratings champion of 7%, breaking all records for the highest first episode ratings in the past twenty years!

In today’s world of diverse entertainment options, watching TV is no longer the only, nor even the first choice for entertainment.

Therefore, TV ratings have been declining year by year. Every time a show achieves a rating over 1, the producers will celebrate it as a ”big hit.”

And ”over 1” means above 1%.

So, for this originally unpopular Xianxia drama to break 21, it’s truly a spectacular start!

Because only two episodes air per week, the TV stations temporarily scheduled them for Tuesday and Thursday.

After the first episode aired on Tuesday, everyone kept replaying the first episode, capturing various screenshots and teasing memes, waiting for the second episode on Thursday.

By the time the second episode aired on Thursday, those who were previously doubtful had their doubts dispelled and began to passionately praise this high-quality domestic Xianxia drama with integrity in its production.

They all began posting the topic on social media: #The first of its kind, breathtaking domestic special effects! How honest of it!#

Some even said, don’t mention domestic-level special effects, these effects stand top-notch even internationally!

And starting from the second episode, many plots had already unfolded, keeping everyone even more dazzled.

A good TV drama, besides having exquisite costumes, props, and makeup, includes actors delivering outstanding performances, a director skilled at creating dramatic conflicts, a beautiful and catchy theme song, in addition to photography and special effects that significantly elevate the class and quality, offering countless viewers an audiovisual experience even more splendid than their imagined grand Xianxia dream.

”What is Xianxia? — This is Xianxia!”

”It’s not about wielding an Eastern sword to cut Western monsters, that kind of awkward nonsense, stop making Xianxia look bad!”

”I remember someone previously insinuated the special effects of this film were ’barely watchable’... is this ’barely watchable’? Was the person who said that born with two eyeballs missing?”

”Right right right! I remember too? Has anyone screenshotted it?”

”Screenshot my ass, I just checked, that person deleted their Weibo!”

”Obviously a hater, luckily our Blue Boy’s performance is always reliable! Aaaaah! Blue Boy, why did you leave the industry???”
