Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 706: Chapter 366: Knowing What You Want (Third Update, Please Vote for Monthly Ticket)

So for the whole day, Lawrence Winters was attending meetings with Edward Foster on the thirty-eighth floor.

Their efficiency was remarkable—they first established various time points, like when to start construction, when to finalize the design drawings, when to create models and begin pre-sales, and when customers who purchased pre-sales can choose their house type.

For this villa complex, they aimed for a unified style, but with each house having different details in both exterior and interior.

For the wealthy, the word ”unique” is incredibly alluring.

Lawrence Winters listened attentively.

Edward Foster spoke with eloquence in the meeting, saying, ”This time we’re using the momentum of trending searches to establish a different sales model. High-end residences need to have the value and model of high-end residences.”

”If all the houses in your villa complex are identical like matchboxes, that’s not high-end; that’s a standard product on an assembly line.”

”That’s why I have high requirements for the design drawings.”

”For the first phase, we’re selling ten villas—you need to provide me with at least twenty sets of design drawings with consistent style but each having its own unique exterior and interior design.”

”You only have one month. After a month, all our preliminary work will be completed, pre-sales will begin, and then we can officially start construction based on the customer’s choices.”

Edward Foster’s proposal inspired the designers with a wealth of ideas, and they presented numerous style suggestions on the spot.

For instance, Mediterranean style, ancient style, post-modern style, European country style, Southern American style, farm style, and so on.

The renderings opened up Lawrence Winters’ eyes, allowing him to learn a lot of new knowledge.

After the meeting, it was already four o’clock in the afternoon.

They had ordered takeout for lunch and ate in the meeting room.

Lawrence Winters returned to his office to pack up, with his mind still lingering on the various villa styles discussed in the meeting room today.

She wanted to determine from a feng shui perspective which style best matched the aura of the location, achieving a state of ”Unity of Heaven and Man,” which was the most revered state among ancient and modern architects.

Edward Foster was also packing up to leave for the day.

These past few days, the collaboration had worn him out.

Doing real estate was indeed more troublesome than the entertainment industry.

He turned off the computer, grabbed his car keys, and was about to walk out when he suddenly received a call from his mother.

”Mom, what’s up? I was just about to leave work.”

Mrs. Foster said gently on the phone, ”Edward, I’m going to attend the Elegant Feast Dinner hosted by Mrs. Sheng. Does Lawrence have time? Can you ask her if she’d like to join me?”

Edward Foster’s eyes widened with delight, ”Mom, are you really willing to take Lawrence to see the grand events of the Elegant Feast?! Even I don’t have the chance to attend, haha!”

”The Elegant Feast is a women’s gathering, what’s a man like you getting all excited for!” Mrs. Foster chided, ”There’s one hour left; if she wants to go, I’ll pick her up. I’ve already prepared a dress, just right for her.”

This showed that Mrs. Foster wanting to take Lawrence to some formal occasions wasn’t a mere fancy but a well-thought plan.

Edward Foster knew his mother had officially approved, making him very happy, and he quickly said, ”Just a moment, I’ll go ask Lawrence.”

He dashed to Lawrence Winters’ office and smiled, ”Lawrence, my mom just asked if you’d like to attend the Elegant Feast dinner tonight at six with her. If you want to go, she’ll come to pick you up.”

”Elegant Feast? What’s that?” Lawrence Winters, who had just reached the office door, was stopped by Edward Foster and was quite surprised.

”The Elegant Feast is an event created by the Sheng family of Eminence Capital, mainly attended by shareholders and senior executives from their circle, all power women. They have monthly events where they eat and exchange experiences and information. I tell you, people outside literally wear their heads out trying to get in but to no avail.”

”Their circle now has only about twenty people, nearly all being wives of the top ten billionaires on the rich list, along with their relatives and friends,” Edward Foster explained to Lawrence Winters.

In actuality, they were all the wives and daughters-in-law of the top ten billionaires on the rich list.

Edward Foster didn’t put it so bluntly, fearing it might intimidate Lawrence Winters.

Lawrence Winters, indeed very interested, curiously said, ”So high-end? But why would Mrs. Foster think of taking me there? I’m not even that familiar with Mrs. Foster...”

Edward Foster: ”...”

His expression unchanged, he smiled, ”Even though my mom hasn’t met you many times, she has a very good impression of you. She’s very selective, doesn’t take a liking to many people, but this time she’s thought of taking you, probably because we are cooperating on developing a high-end villa complex, and she wants you to mingle and see if there’s a business opportunity...”

Lawrence Winters thought he understood and laughed, ”I see, Little Foster is trying to make me a sales rep, haha! But true, if these top ladies could place an order, we could save on advertising costs for this villa!”

”By the way, this Sheng family from Eminence Capital, is it the one ranked second on the billionaire list?”

”Yes, that’s the one.”

”Great, great, I’ll go; I’ll call my family to let them know.”

After confirming the time and place, Lawrence Winters immediately called Gabrielle Winters, saying there was a gathering tonight, and she’d be attending on behalf of the company, so she wouldn’t be home for dinner.

Gabrielle Winters reminded her to stay safe and to come home early.

After notifying her family, Lawrence got in touch with Mrs. Foster.

She wasn’t in a hurry to leave and researched the history of the ”Elegant Feast” and its current member list in the office.

Unfortunately, there was very little information online, just a brief introduction, with not even one name on the member list.

It truly seemed like a very privacy-conscious private organization.

At five o’clock, Lawrence Winters received a call from Mrs. Foster and went downstairs with Edward Foster.

Mrs. Foster was sitting in a stretched Rolls-Royce Phantom parked on the tree-lined path in front of the Foster Building.

Lawrence Winters and Edward Foster approached the car, chatting and laughing.

Mrs. Foster even got out of the car to warmly speak with Lawrence Winters.

She wasn’t someone who got friendly with just anybody, but with Lawrence, she was very amiable, as if they’d known each other for many years.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Edward Foster opened the car door, letting Mrs. Foster and Lawrence Winters in.

Then he waved his hand, watching the luxury car drive away.

Just then, Kenneth Osborne’s Tesla slowly came around.

He watched as Lawrence Winters got into the luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom ahead, and he also saw the wife of the president and chairman of the Foster Consortium warmly embracing Lawrence before they both got in the car.

The kind of harmonious atmosphere reminiscent of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law was glaringly offensive to Kenneth Osborne.
