Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 712: Chapter 370: Party A and Party B

Lawrence Winters looked at him with bright eyes, and Edward Foster unwittingly told the truth.

”...Well, at that time, it really seemed like... my mom and Mr. Shen were still in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, but it wasn’t that close. At most, it was just to fool both families...”

”Really? So you mean Autumn Stetford wasn’t the third wheel? Or did she get involved with her best friend’s boyfriend?” Lawrence Winters smiled and went straight to the point.

Edward Foster scratched his head awkwardly and said, ”...Uh, actually it wasn’t that strict, right? Anyway, my mom and Mr. Shen weren’t really that invested in each other. That childhood friendship always makes it hard to tell if it’s love or just friendship. So, you know, there’s always a crack in their relationship before someone can slip in...”

Lawrence Winters felt a bit uncomfortable, her smile slightly stiffening, and she said word by word, ”You’re saying, flies don’t land on seamless eggs.”

”Yes, yes, yes! That’s exactly what I mean!” Edward Foster nodded repeatedly, then instantly realized it wasn’t right and quickly shook his head: ”No, no, no! That’s not what I mean!”

If he admitted it, wouldn’t he become the ”fly”?

He mustn’t admit it!

Lawrence Winters pressed her lips and laughed, feeling much better.

Edward Foster felt he could still struggle a bit, so he continued, ”Moreover, my dad just happened to appear at that time, he fell in love with my mom at first sight, pursued her relentlessly, and Autumn Stetford covered for them quite a lot!”

Lawrence Winters smiled as she watched this silly guy dig himself deeper, and softly said, ”So your dad and mom were being used, did they know that?”

Edward Foster: ”...”

That was a killer question!

He decided to break up unilaterally with Lawrence Winters for three minutes!

So in the elevator, neither of them spoke until they got out of the elevator, entered the company, and right when the three minutes were up, Edward Foster said, ”Lawrence, I plan to promote you to director of the Public Relations Department, how about it? Then you can more properly visit the Majestic Gathering.”

Lawrence Winters raised an eyebrow, waved her hand, and said, ”No, no, no need. If you do this, it makes people think it’s unprofessional. If you insist on doing it, to avoid people doubting my working ability, I’ll have to resign.”

Edward Foster certainly didn’t want Lawrence Winters to resign, so he immediately said, ”Alright then, I was just casually saying it, don’t mind it.”

”I know you like to joke, I won’t mind.” Lawrence Winters smiled and nodded to him, entering her own office.

After sitting down in her office, Lawrence Winters opened her computer and found she didn’t actually have much workload.

Lucas Harlow had returned home, no longer a person in the entertainment industry, but now a rich heir Evan Stetford.

As a dual heir to Blue Heavy Industries and the Stetford Clan.

For Lawrence Winters, her workload was cut in half.

Under the guise of the spokesperson for the Public Relations Department, she was still receiving dual pay.

Lawrence Winters felt a bit uneasy.

Edward Foster treated her so well, it had already gone beyond the realm of ordinary friends.

She wasn’t unappreciative, but if he wanted more, Lawrence thought she wouldn’t be able to do it.

She always remembered she was a married woman.

But she hesitated for only a few minutes before putting it aside.

She would wait for Lucas Harlow’s last fantasy drama to broadcast before canceling her agent’s base salary because she still had to worry about his fantasy drama now.

The post-production of this drama was crucial, and she needed to follow up constantly.

Originally, the production team and director should have followed up, but due to the post-production tender issue, Edward Foster sidelined the director and producer, while the company that got the tender was Kenneth Osborne’s company, so now Lawrence Winters was fully responsible for following up.

Recently, because of the land issue, Lawrence Winters’ work focus completely shifted, not knowing how Kenneth Osborne’s side was producing.

She looked at the time schedule, three weeks had passed, and there were two weeks left, which was Kenneth Osborne’s company’s final deadline to deliver, and it was also time for a mid-term review.

Lawrence Winters processed all the unread emails in her mailbox, then picked up the office phone and called Kenneth Osborne’s post-production effects subsidiary.

Kenneth Osborne had set up a separate subsidiary to integrate post-production effects resources for easier management.

The landline in the office of the technical director over there rang for a while, but no one picked up.

Because everyone was in a meeting room having a meeting.
