Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 733: Chapter 379: You Give Him Money, I’m Even More Upset (Third Update)

Spring Spencer still smiled and nodded, ”You two have such a strong relationship. With such a great fiancé, Miss Winters must truly cherish him.”

Kenneth Osborne smiled, ”Being able to be with Nora is my true blessing.”

Spring Spencer felt like she was getting fed dog food again and lost all interest in chatting.

She waved her hand and said, ”Well, I’m off, keep in touch.”

Kenneth Osborne nodded, ”Safe travels.”

After Spring Spencer left, Kenneth Osborne waited for about fifteen more minutes, but still didn’t see Lawrence Winters’s Grand Cherokee coming over.

He pondered for a moment, then took out his phone and called Lawrence Winters, ”Nora, when are you coming home?”

Lawrence Winters was already sitting in the living room eating fruit.

She pursed her lips and said in surprise, ”...When am I coming home? Haven’t I already come home? Which house are you at?”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”

He shifted his phone to another hand, turned to walk into the neighborhood, and said in puzzlement, ”I’m at the entrance to your neighborhood, waited for a while and didn’t see your car. — Didn’t you see me?”

Lawrence Winters snorted lightly, ”You didn’t see my car at the entrance...you were so focused on talking to someone, how could you see my car? No need to wait for me, I’m already home.”

Kenneth Osborne’s heart skipped a beat, knowing that Lawrence Winters saw him talking with Spring Spencer at the neighborhood entrance.

But even though he was talking with Spring Spencer at the entrance, he was paying attention to the cars and people going in and out, and he didn’t see Lawrence Winters or her very noticeable Grand Cherokee.

However, noticing that Lawrence Winters was upset, he began to explain, ”I was waiting for you to come home at the neighborhood entrance today and ended up bumping into Spring Spencer, just exchanged a few words with her. She was visiting her father here, flying abroad for a vacation tonight, they say.”

”Why are you explaining to me? Who you talk to is none of my business.” Lawrence Winters felt a bit stifled.

Though she knew there was no need to get upset just because Kenneth Osborne was talking to another woman.

But she just couldn’t help it.

Kenneth Osborne suppressed a chuckle, ”...Nora, you’re jealous.”

”Don’t, I don’t like sour stuff, I only like sweet, soft things.” Lawrence Winters picked up a piece of small milk cake with coconut flakes, put it into her mouth and chewed, making a sound of satisfaction, ”Come back quickly, it’s almost time for dinner.”

After ending the call, Kenneth Osborne was still pondering when exactly Lawrence Winters came back and how he didn’t notice it.

Back at their apartment, Kenneth Osborne kept asking, ”How did you get into the neighborhood? With such a big car, I can’t possibly have missed you?”

Lawrence Winters then remembered the Aston Martin sports car given to her by Edward Foster, she grinned sheepishly and said, ”That’s uncertain, what if you were so engrossed in chatting that you didn’t notice anyone, even if I came back riding an elephant, you wouldn’t see it!”

Kenneth Osborne sensed that Lawrence Winters was shifting the topic again.

He didn’t press further but instead went back to his room, turned on his computer, and connected to the surveillance at the neighborhood entrance to see how he had missed Lawrence Winters’s car earlier.

With the surveillance connected, he could see things from a different angle.

From the surveillance perspective, he could see Lawrence Winters sticking her head out of a sapphire blue sports car and greeting the security personnel at the neighborhood entrance.

Then the person opened the automatic barrier and let her in.

Turns out she swapped cars, no wonder he missed her.

He looked closely at the car and realized it was an Aston Martin sports car.

This car starts at more than three million, and if fully customized with the highest options, it’s over four million.

When did Lawrence Winters buy the car and keep it a secret so well?

Kenneth Osborne quietly closed the laptop and went back to the kitchen to help the old Daoist serve the dishes in the dining room.

Gabrielle Winters was also helping in the kitchen, she quickly said, ”Kenneth, you go sit and wait for dinner, we’re about to finish up.”

Nick Zeller was already sitting in the dining room chatting with Lawrence Winters.

He was doing much better now, smiling as he said, ”You better give me back my car soon, I’m ready to start taking orders and continue my business.”

”Master, shouldn’t you rest a few more days?” Lawrence Winters shook her head, ”I remember the doctor said at least three months of rest.”

Just then Gabrielle Winters came out from the kitchen, hearing their conversation, she quickly said, ”Lawrence is right, don’t push yourself, rest for another two months before doing anything.”

Once Gabrielle Winters spoke, Nick Zeller had no choice but to comply.

He rubbed his nose and said sheepishly, ”Stayed at home for a month, felt like I was on maternity leave, almost bored to death. Played a vegetable for a month, isn’t it time to get better?”
