Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 726: Chapter 376: A Drama King Is Born!

Edward Foster dared to play hard to get because he was fully confident.

To be honest, when he started, he was quite nervous.

Because the script, actors, and director of this film were excellent, but the cinematography was rather average.

Miraculously, however, Kenneth Osborne’s company’s post-production special effects were able to modify the cinematography to some extent, as if a master photographer had relit it and a million-dollar editor had re-edited it.

A minute more feels redundant, a minute less makes the plot insufficiently complete.

There are no unnecessary scenes.

Under Edward Foster’s ”creative sales pitch,” the onlooking buyers enthusiastically ”signed up.”

He finally chose the two most renowned domestic television networks, one being, of course, the National Television Station, and the other the most popular provincial satellite TV channel.

Edward Foster accepted their earnest money and then invited them to another room to watch the first episode.

One episode is forty-five minutes long.

Normally, when these people buy a series, they watch it at double or even triple speed, wishing they could just drag the progress bar to the end.

But this time, they wished they could watch it at half speed to fully appreciate the mystical and enchanting fantasy world!

The two of them were completely captivated, and after watching, they simultaneously asked, ”...Did you have Micro Tower overseas do the special effects for this series?”

Because the effects, this quality, even for Micro Tower, it was an exceptional performance!

The key was that it was so well-versed in our country’s fantasy world, nothing like their usual standard of turning Eastern fantasy into Western fantasy.

Edward Foster smiled mysteriously; this was the second selling point of his film.

”I can guarantee that the special effects in this series were entirely produced by a domestic effects company, with 100% domestic technology!”

The two buyers exchanged glances, then quickly took out their phones to report to their superiors, requesting to raise their bids, both claiming they had found the hit drama of the year!

Anyone who watched this film had no doubt that this series would be a hit.

Because the last obstacle for Chinese dramas to reach the pinnacle—special effects production, had finally been overcome by our people!

They could even imagine that when this television series was aired, not only would it have everyone talking, but it would also spark wave after wave of discussion on social media!

They were even confident that during the airing period, the entire series would firmly hold the top ten trending topics!

And it would be genuine trending topics, without them having to pay for it!

Edward Foster was immensely proud and said, ”You can discuss it among yourselves, but as I said, you have only three days to bid, the highest bidder wins, and of course, there are additional conditions, you’ll find out then.”

After leaving the screening room, Edward Foster announced the same conditions to buyers from other television stations: three days to bid, the highest bidder wins, and he also added conditions regarding the scale of the TV station and online platforms.

Less prominent TV stations and too-small online platforms were directly excluded from bidding.

This film was meant to achieve both economic benefits and reputation and prestige!

In other words, he was also targeting the major year-end awards ceremonies...

At first, the buyers from other TV stations were skeptical, but when they saw the buyers from the National Television Station and the most popular provincial satellite TV channel immediately contact their stations to prepare for bidding upon leaving the screening room, they too got excited, knowing this was an opportunity not to be missed.

Several other capable TV stations then paid earnest money to enter the screening room to watch the sample clips.

This time, Edward Foster only let them watch half an episode, unlike the buyers from the first two television stations who watched the whole episode.

But even just half an episode was enough to amaze these buyers.

They were all experienced buyers, having handled both domestic and international TV series for years, and with a glance, they could tell whether it was a donkey or a horse.

So after they came out, they also quickly contacted their superiors to request participation in the bidding.

Lawrence Winters was observing Edward Foster’s cheeky operation all along.

She did not doubt the quality of Kenneth Osborne’s production but was surprised to learn that good post-production special effects in Chinese television dramas could create such a stir!

Moreover, this series truly overturned all previous concepts of post-production effects, as it comprehensively and multi-dimensionally refined the entire series. The special effects shots appeared extremely natural, not abrupt at all.

To put it this way, previous special effects in Chinese dramas were generally makeshift, like a normal person suddenly putting on a horror makeup and then earnestly telling the audience, ”Watch out, I’m about to impress you!”
