Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 718: Chapter 372: She Just Lacks Taste

Kenneth Osborne didn’t expect Lawrence Winters to actually hit Spring Spencer!

This is just too much!

He quickly rushed out from behind his desk and whispered, ”Nora! Don’t be impulsive! Let go of President Spencer!”

Lawrence Winters sneered, pulling the hair in her hand even tighter, ”Let her go? You feel sorry for her? You keep me out of the company just so you can have more time with her?!”

”Nora! President Spencer and I were clearly discussing special effects production! If you don’t believe me, look at the computer screen yourself!” Kenneth Osborne was stunned by Lawrence’s unreasonable behavior. He always thought Lawrence was a rational girl and never imagined her behaving like this!

Kenneth Osborne quickly turned the two monitors on his desk around, and sure enough, it was the five-minute short film she had worked on.

Lawrence Winters’ eyes flickered.

Taking advantage of Lawrence’s distraction, Kenneth Osborne suddenly acted, grabbing her right wrist and gently pressing a point on her wrist.

Lawrence Winters’ tendons went a bit numb, and subconsciously she let go,

Spring Spencer hurriedly pulled her hair out of Lawrence’s hand, moved towards the door, and said helplessly, ”Miss Winters, this is really a misunderstanding. We didn’t intentionally hide anything from you. President Osborne was dissatisfied with the effects, while I thought they were sufficient. So there were disagreements and disputes. This misunderstanding is my fault, and I apologize to both of you.”

As she spoke, she skillfully twisted her disheveled hair into a high bun at the back of her head, and adjusted her clothes.

Seeing that Spring Spencer didn’t run towards Kenneth Osborne but instead moved in the opposite direction, Lawrence Winters took a deep breath.

Could it be that she was overthinking this?

In front of the poised and unruffled Spring Spencer clarifying the misunderstanding, her actions seemed petty and demeaning.

To calm herself down, she had to silently recite the ”Heart Clarity Spell” to steady her nerves.

After exhaling slowly, Lawrence Winters mockingly said, ”President Spencer is truly professional, knowing I’m the client and didn’t require an appointment from me to view the samples.”

”How could that be? It’s merely a lack of understanding of the rules from the staff. However, Manager Winters, please be empathetic; Far Promise Special Effects...” Spring paused, then continued, ”Far Promise Special Effects is a new subsidiary, without even a receptionist or a secretary, let alone handling these legal matters. Miss Winters, you are quite familiar with President Osborne, can’t you give a little face?”

”President Spencer, familiar as we may be, business is business. Moreover, NewHuman Corporation doesn’t belong to me, so I can’t just be generous at someone else’s expense because of acquaintances.” Lawrence Winters spoke evenly, ”So it’s not about whether I give face or not.”

Kenneth Osborne tugged indistinctly at the corner of his mouth, saying somewhat helplessly to Lawrence Winters, ”I was trying to call you earlier, but couldn’t get through. Didn’t expect you’ve already come, and straightaway lost your temper at President Spencer. Your temper’s just too hasty, maybe you should apologize to President Spencer.”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

Apologizing is not going to happen, not in this lifetime will she apologize to Spring Spencer!

Spring Spencer hastily tried to ease the situation, saying, ”No need to apologize, really, this is just a misunderstanding, let’s not bring it up again.”

Having almost been punched and had her hair pulled, yet being so forgiving, Spring Spencer certainly had remarkable poise.

Thanks to Spring Spencer, Lawrence Winters had already caused several scenes, and Kenneth Osborne actually dared not truly push Lawrence Winters to apologize. Saying so was just for courtesy.

Since Spring Spencer said there’s no need to apologize, Kenneth Osborne swiftly changed the subject, ”Alright, since you’re here, let’s take a look together. We’ve indeed encountered some technical challenges, perhaps you can help us.”

Spring Spencer quickly regained her composure, she looked up somewhat surprised at Kenneth Osborne, and asked, ”Is Miss Winters also a special effects production expert?”

Kenneth Osborne beamed, ”Nora doesn’t understand computers, but she has an incomparable intuition for special effects. The particularly spiritual segment I showed you just now was created by her.”

”Ah?! That’s amazing! If we had known, we wouldn’t have wasted our efforts trying to invent privately. We should have asked Miss Winters for advice earlier!” Spring Spencer clapped her hands and laughed.

Kenneth Osborne, smiling wryly, picked up his laptop from the desk, ”...Let’s go to the large conference room across.”

Initially, he wanted to try solving the issue himself, yet first Spring Spencer delayed him, and then Lawrence Winters came after causing a scene...

However, since they were all here now, they might as well discuss this issue together, which might provide him with new inspiration to improve his system program.

The last time, it was after Lawrence Winters tried, he had a stroke of genius that led to a comprehensive improvement and upgrade of the system’s deep learning software.

Lawrence Winters still held grudges, and quietly said, ”President Spencer, with such remarks, are you implying that you are a special effects expert?”

Spring Spencer smiled and shook her head, ”Of course not, I’m just helping to connect and manage the project team.”

”Since you’re not knowledgeable in special effects, you bent over so attentively that it misled me, almost getting you beat up by me, truly a case of buying a loss.” Lawrence Winters understatedly jabbed at Spring Spencer.

Spring Spencer paid no mind to this, smiling but ignoring Lawrence’s provocation, instead saying, ”Although I don’t understand special effects, I understand management and commercial operations. I hope Miss Winters can enlighten us later.”

Lawrence Winters clenched her fists, wanting to say something, but Kenneth Osborne was already beside her, gently wrapping an arm around her shoulders, and said, ”Nora, President Spencer doesn’t see the spirituality in your sample, later show her what true fantasy drama is.”

Spring Spencer covered her mouth with her left hand, chuckling, and with her right index finger, pointed twice in the air at Kenneth Osborne, looking both amused and helpless, she turned and went out first.

Lawrence Winters stared at Spring Spencer, inside her heart rose a violent thought, ”That finger is so annoying, maybe I should just break it...”

Kenneth Osborne held her hand, interlocking their fingers, gently comforting her, ”...Don’t be angry, we really were discussing the sample earlier, if she can’t see the good in your work, I think it’s her lack of taste.”

Lawrence Winters huffed softly, muttering, ”Lucky you know better...”

And then followed Kenneth Osborne out together.
