Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 723: Chapter 374: Learning from the Barbarians to Control the Barbarians (Part 2)

Lawrence Winters laughed heartily, ”President Spencer, that’s quite the compliment! Since you said it’s ’an earth-shattering strategy,’ how can it be casually shared? Learning someone’s ’earth-shattering strategy’ without any effort, is it me who’s being silly or you?”

Spring Spencer focused her gaze on Lawrence Winters, thinking this girl is truly naive...

But Kenneth Osborne didn’t seem to think so, he stood up and said, ”Nora, let’s go to my office and see if we’ve come up with the same idea.”

Lawrence Winters responded with an ”Mm,” stood up, and walked over to Kenneth Osborne.

The two of them turned together and walked out of the meeting room through the doors.

Director Jiang stood with his mouth half open, staring at the direction where the two figures disappeared, and said in astonishment, ”...They just left like that? If they’re so capable, what role do we have? What’s the point of the team?”

Spring Spencer smiled, reassuring Director Jiang, ”Director Jiang, don’t say that. Manager Wen seems so confident; maybe she really has some exceptional method. Let’s patiently wait.”

”No matter how exceptional, what does it matter? The key is we don’t have time!” Director Jiang said irritably as he stood up and wandered around the meeting room.

...

In Kenneth Osborne’s executive office, once Lawrence Winters entered with him, Kenneth Osborne locked the office door.

He invited Lawrence Winters to sit at his desk, and said, ”Now can you tell me? What’s your plan?”

Lawrence Winters tilted her head slightly, looking at Kenneth Osborne and said, ”Something Spring Spencer mentioned just now inspired me.”

”Which thing?”

”The part she said about the ancient embroiderers.”

Kenneth Osborne chuckled and sat down beside her, ”That sounds interesting. How about this, I’ll jot down my thoughts first. Then you tell me yours, and we can see if we both have the same idea?”

”Sounds great!” Lawrence Winters nodded eagerly.

She began using the mouse, clicking around on the computer, waiting for Kenneth Osborne to finish writing down his thoughts.

After Kenneth Osborne completed his writing, he tore off the paper, folded it backwards, placed it in Lawrence Winters’ hand, and said, ”Now you can tell me.”

Lawrence Winters released the mouse, smiled, and said, ”Actually, it’s quite simple. Since I can achieve the effect you want, we can have your system learn my method.”

”It’s essentially like teaching the skills of an artisan embroiderer to an industrial assembly line!”

”In the past, such ideas would have seemed like sheer fantasy and impossible to realize because what one can learn is beyond the capabilities of machines.”

”But now we have artificial intelligence! What’s the ultimate goal of AI? —It’s making machines capable of thinking and learning like humans!”

”Therefore, as long as your system’s deep learning software can master the skills of an ancient great embroiderer within the specified time, it will have the capability of high-efficiency, high-quality, customizable garment production in the industrial era!”

Kenneth Osborne laughed and leaned close to Lawrence Winters, giving her a little kiss on the cheek, ”We really did have the same thought.”

He pulled out the paper he’d written from Lawrence Winters’ hand and opened it to show her.

On it was simply written: ”Let the computer learn Nora’s method for special effects production.”

It’s a feeling of ”heart connected at the tip,” something rare and precious for lovers.

Lawrence Winters felt a warm rush in her heart, as if something had been unlocked in her mind, a thrilling sensation surged and quickly spread throughout her whole body.

She closed her eyes and savored this beautiful moment, finally understanding what those romance novels described about mutual affection and love.

Kenneth Osborne was also very excited. He opened his system program files and said, ”Let’s start now, I’ll code your debugging process and integrate it into the machine’s deep learning code, so the computer can learn your debugging method by itself.”

Before this, Kenneth Osborne had been studying what was special about the sample code Lawrence Winters created but hadn’t integrated it into his machine deep learning code instructions.

Lawrence Winters nodded, ”If you want to do a good job, you must first sharpen your tools. And you’re definitely ’sharpening your tools’!”

To help Kenneth Osborne achieve this goal, Lawrence Winters spent the entire week with Kenneth Osborne.

Every day, she went to his company with him, worked alongside him, allowing Kenneth to code her debugging process, continuously modifying to achieve the most similar result.

For a whole week, the two of them debugged the artificial intelligence program together, inputting it into the computer for self-learning, with Lawrence Winters overseeing the machine’s learning results and Kenneth Osborne improving the system program, patching various loopholes.

After one week, Kenneth Osborne’s special effects software was upgraded once again.

This time, it was entirely capable of operating autonomously according to predetermined special effects parameters.

In the second week, which was the final week of their contract, Lawrence Winters did not go to Kenneth Osborne’s company.

Kenneth Osborne spent almost the entire week at the company, confined in his office, tirelessly working, and completed editing all fifty episodes of the drama from beginning to end.

The speed of the computer’s learning was increasing exponentially.

From completing only one episode’s special effects on the first day, it managed five episodes on the second day, ten on the third, twenty on the fourth, and by the fifth day, all fifty episodes were remade.

Since this round of production was entirely computer-run, with all special effects parameters predetermined, the final editing style was astonishingly coherent.

Needless to say about the image quality—each frame passed the highest-resolution quality check, even the most exacting professionals couldn’t find a single flaw or error.

Today is the last day of the contract.

He emerged from his office to announce to the entire company, ”All fifty episodes of the drama have been completely remade, today I’m going to NewHuman Corporation for their acceptance.”

The people at the special effects division were dumbfounded.

Director Jiang hadn’t done any work for these two weeks, he had been anxiously awaiting the results, his mind in turmoil.

Upon hearing Kenneth Osborne say this, he couldn’t help asking, ”President Osborne, are you saying all fifty episodes have been redone? You yourself redid all of the episodes???”

If that’s the case, these people might as well find a piece of tofu and knock themselves out.

Kenneth Osborne chuckled and said, ”It wasn’t me, it was it.”

He pointed back to the large server host unit newly added to his office.

Spring Spencer heard about it and hurried down from her office upstairs, curiously asking, ”President Osborne, are you not joking?”

”How could I joke about this? — This is advancement in productivity, progress in science and technology.”

”After all, science and technology is the primary productive force!” Kenneth Osborne said in Lawrence’s tone, almost like slapping her face.
