Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 649: Chapter 341: Clear-Cut Grudges and Gratitude

If he can’t answer the phone, then it’s probably not just assisting in an investigation.

But over there, Lucas Harlow hasn’t answered the phone.

Lawrence Winters is getting anxious, worried that Jason, given his intelligence level, might not understand the seriousness of the situation.

So she calls the police station that took Lucas Harlow again.

The public phone at this police station hasn’t been overwhelmed because the public isn’t aware that they took Lucas Harlow yet.

As soon as someone answers, Lawrence Winters asks, ”Hello, is your chief there? I’m Lucas Harlow’s agent, Lawrence Winters, and I need to speak to him.”

The person on the other side quickly replies, ”Miss Winters? Mr. Harlow is assisting in an investigation and can’t speak with you at the moment. I’ll relay the message to him once he comes out.”

Upon confirming the ”assisting in investigation,” Lawrence Winters’ demeanor immediately changes.

She calmly says, ”You’re asking my artist to assist in an investigation, not investigating him. Please connect the call immediately. I’ve never heard of assisting in an investigation resulting in loss of personal freedom. Our company’s lawyer will soon head to the police station to liaise with your unit.”

The young officer who answered the call awkwardly smiled, hung up, and consulted with the senior officers on what to do.

The seasoned officer chuckled and said, ”Assisting in an investigation shouldn’t restrict his personal freedom. Where did you put Mr. Harlow’s phone?”

They searched around and found that Lucas Harlow’s phone was placed in a transparent plastic bag, as if it were evidence.

The young officer hurriedly took the phone out and delivered it to Lucas Harlow.

Lucas Harlow sat in the chief’s office, talking to the chief without any sign of anxiety.

His demeanor was bland, even somewhat bored.

”Chief, here’s Mr. Harlow’s phone. His agent called and requested to speak with him,” the young officer quickly said.

The chief gestured with his hand, ”Hand the phone to Mr. Harlow.”

Lucas Harlow felt a stir inside, knowing it was Lawrence Winters looking for him.

He smiled and stood up, saying, ”Excuse me for a moment, I need to take this call.”

The chief nodded, indicating Lucas Harlow should go ahead.

Lucas Harlow found a small meeting room and called Lawrence Winters back.

Lawrence Winters was still on the phone with the young officer when she saw Lucas Harlow’s call coming in, immediately hung up the call with the officer, and answered Lucas Harlow.

”Lucas, what’s going on? Are you okay?” Lawrence Winters asked urgently.

Lucas Harlow smiled gently, ”I’m fine, I’m just helping them with some questions. Don’t worry, it will be over soon.”

He was undoubtedly too optimistic, as he ended up staying at the police station for a day and a night.

Luckily, Lawrence Winters was outside handling everything for him.

Once Lawrence Winters confirmed Lucas Harlow was okay, she began planning.

She first went to social media to find the account that initially posted the news, which turned out to be a regular account without verification, no ’V’ mark, and not many followers.

Then it was quickly shared by some major self-media enthusiasts.

Due to the sensational nature of the matter, the repost count reached tens of millions, making it challenging to find usable clues amidst it.

She pondered for a moment with her phone before calling Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t pick up her call right away.

The ringtone rang for a while before being directed to the voicemail box.

Lawrence Winters knew that Kenneth Osborne often turned off his phone during work or meetings.

So she patiently redialed several times.

Kenneth Osborne finally answered, ”Nora, what’s up? Sorry, I was just in a meeting.”

Lawrence Winters quickly said, ”Not a problem, Kenneth, here’s the situation: Lucas recently encountered an issue and rumors are being spread against him online.”

”Do you have any programs that can help me analyze who’s behind these rumor-spreading accounts and major influencers? I want to know if there’s a specific company or individual involved.”

She added, ”We need this quickly; if you can analyze the big data, can you find traces within an hour?”

Kenneth Osborne researches artificial intelligence, which includes big data analysis.

Moreover, his main focus is on machine learning, so big data analysis is merely a byproduct of this learning.

Because the data volume required for machine learning is far greater than online big data, it’s not even on the same scale.

Kenneth Osborne hesitated slightly, ”Lucas ran into trouble? Okay, I’ll help you.”

Without asking what the issue was, he went online to check, found a starting point, and used his big data analysis software to directly analyze the features of the accounts sharing the news.

Such as who their followers are, who they follow in return, the posts they’ve made, and the accounts they frequently interact with.

If Francis Johnson were doing this, he might directly hack the first account and check its IP address.

But Kenneth Osborne couldn’t; he doesn’t have Francis Johnson’s permissions, so he can only use public content and legal methods to find the necessary data and conclusions.

This approach is indeed slower.

However, with Kenneth Osborne’s artificial intelligence-driven big data analysis software, the speed can still become quite fast.

In less than half an hour, he obtained a clear analysis of the interactions and shares of the tens of millions of accounts on social media.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t have time to send all the data to Lawrence Winters, so he just sent her a message: The entity behind it is NeoHuman Entertainment Ltd., a company founded by Summer Spencer.

Lawrence Winters exploded upon seeing the name.

Damn you, Summer Spencer, how can you not forget to defame my artist after all this time?

Lawrence Winters felt Summer Spencer was targeting her, especially since she had conflicted with her several times and snatched many resources from her hands.

There’s certainly some grudge here...

Lawrence Winters no longer hesitated.

While waiting for Kenneth Osborne’s data analysis results, Lawrence Winters already instructed her company’s legal department to draft legal documents.

This time, she is determined to sue that annoying ”NeoHuman Entertainment Ltd.” founded by Summer Spencer to the ground!

She glanced at the lawyer’s letter asking them to change the compensation amount to two billion!

That’s roughly twice the market value of NeoHuman Corporation.
