Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 630: Chapter 335: Only She Matters Most (Second Update)

They beat him for almost an hour. Nick Zeller lay on the ground barely breathing, still refusing to sign the contract.

For this contract involving money, just pressing a fingerprint isn’t enough; a signature is required, as well as a third-party witness.

Nick Zeller’s refusal to willingly sign was always troublesome.

Boss Ouyang didn’t want to forge the contract either.

He wanted Nick Zeller to willingly accept this debt.

Of course, he didn’t want to beat him to death either.

If they killed him, who would compensate him?

Seeing Nick Zeller’s stubborn refusal, Boss Ouyang had no choice but to glance at Mr. Brandon.

Mr. Brandon walked over, knelt on one knee in front of Nick Zeller, straightened his bruised face, and said with a smile, ”Nick, the Great Heavenly Master, acclaimed as the number one in the Celestial Path Sect, did you foresee this disaster today?”

Despite the intense pain throughout his body, Nick Zeller didn’t back down. He mumbled, ”So what if I did see it coming? Knowing there’s a tiger in the mountain, I still head for it. Riches come with risks, and you, just a wandering Brandon, set up this trap for fame and fortune, didn’t you?”

”I set the trap?” Mr. Brandon laughed heartily, ”Your fortune is just down, and you failed to see through the Feng Shui of the land, yet you blame others for setting you up? When luck’s on your side, you can thrive even if the world suffers. When it’s not, you crumble even as the world prospers. - Isn’t that common?”

”Bah!” Nick Zeller struggled to lift himself, spat hard at Mr. Brandon’s face.

Blood was flowing from his mouth, and that spit, mixed with fresh blood, tasted metallic, splattering onto Mr. Brandon’s face.

Mr. Brandon was furious, grabbed a stick about ten centimeters in diameter from Boss Ouyang’s men on the side, and struck down hard on Nick Zeller’s calf.

”Ah—!” Nick Zeller let out a scream, and his left calf snapped with a crunch.

”Are you signing or not?! If you still don’t sign, you’ll lose your life!” Boss Ouyang paced over, deliberately intimidating Nick Zeller.

Nick Zeller wasn’t easily scared. Though he rolled on the ground holding his left calf in pain, he didn’t relent.

Seeing this, Mr. Brandon rolled up his sleeves and said, ”Boss Ouyang, we have to get serious now.”

Nick Zeller, sweating from the pain and rolling on the ground for a long time, had dirt smeared on his face, his exposed wounds were both black and red, extremely distressed.

Yet he endured without crying out, chuckled, ”Is this not serious enough? Do you really intend to kill someone? I warn you, if you kill me, not only will you get nothing, but you’ll also face a curse!”

Mr. Brandon hesitated for a moment.

He, too, was a member of the Celestial Path Sect and knew every sect had its own survival and revenge tactics.

What Nick Zeller said was absolutely not to scare them.

He wasn’t bothered about the money; he was concerned that if Nick Zeller, a Great Heavenly Master, was killed by them, his last act of desperation before dying would have a serious repercussion.

He needed to continue thriving in the sect; if he became unlucky, it would be hard to survive.

Boss Ouyang never intended for Nick Zeller to die.

He’s only after money.

After considering Mr. Brandon’s suggestion, he nodded, ”Then let’s get serious!”

Saying that, Boss Ouyang waved toward the workers at the nearby construction site, ”Bring the treasure we dug up over, let the Great Heavenly Master have a look!”

Nick Zeller tried hard to open his bruised, swollen eyes, seeing a very new coffin being carried over.

His mouth twitched uncontrollably.

This coffin is so new, it couldn’t possibly be an artifact dug out from the ground.

What exactly were Ouyang and Brandon planning?

While Nick Zeller was pondering, the coffin lid was opened.

A woman was pulled by her hair to sit up from the coffin.

She was tightly bound, with a white towel stuffed in her mouth.

Upon seeing Nick Zeller, almost beaten beyond recognition, the woman began to struggle frantically, disregarding everything.

Two men couldn’t hold her down, and she rolled out of the coffin.

The woman was tightly bound only at the upper body, her legs were free.

Nick Zeller was dumbfounded.

The woman dragged out from the coffin, bound, was Gabrielle Winters!

It seemed they were targeted as soon as they parked at the foot of the mountain.

Probably before he even climbed up, they had captured Gabrielle and put her in the coffin...

In an instant, all of Nick Zeller’s spirit vanished.

He quickly turned his head, looking at Boss Ouyang, his voice trembling, ”I’ll sign! I’ll sign anything you give me!”
