Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 633: Chapter 336: The Later the Night, the More Beautiful

[Edward]:”Lawrence, why are you messaging so late at night? Are you letting anyone sleep?”

Lawrence Winters saw Edward Foster’s teasing tone and couldn’t help but smile as he replied: ”How am I not letting you sleep? I’m just saying goodnight, aren’t I?”

[Edward]:”Come on! A beauty saying goodnight to someone in the middle of the night would make any man dream wild things!”

[Lawrence]:”It’s not goodnight; it’s ’are you alright’. You can interpret it as goodnight if you want. By the way, are you okay? At home?”

[Edward]:”Nodding crazily.JPG. At home, at home, just me here, no one else. I lead a clean life. Innocently kneeling on the keyboard.JPG.”

[Lawrence]:”Laughing my head off.JPG. Edward, did you forget all those celebrity and internet influencer girlfriends you had before? Anyway, as long as you’re okay, I’m going upstairs.”

Kenneth Osborne had completed the check-in procedures and saw Lawrence Winters smilingly typing on her phone. He couldn’t resist taking a peek.

She was actually talking to Edward Foster.

At one in the morning, and Edward Foster, that second-generation rich kid, was still awake.

And Lawrence smiling so brightly while chatting with him...

Kenneth felt a bit annoyed inside but calmly took the phone from her hand. ”Let’s go, it’s late, don’t disturb others’ rest.”

Lawrence jumped and snatched her phone back, dissatisfied. ”I know, let me finish talking.”

During this brief snatching, Edward Foster had sent several more messages.

[Edward]: I’ve only had three official ex-girlfriends! None of them were internet celebrities or stars! They were all my classmates abroad!

[Edward]: We broke up a long time ago! I haven’t had a girlfriend for three years! I’m a pro at kneeling on the keyboard.JPG.

[Edward]: I’m really touched by your concern; give me a 666!

Followed by a 666 money transfer red envelope.

Lawrence: ...

What’s going on?

In a hurry, she returned it all to him with a message saying: ”Edward, you should sleep; I’m going upstairs!”

Lawrence stopped responding, but Edward, disturbed by Lawrence’s late-night ”surprise,” couldn’t sleep.

He was inexplicably excited, pondering: Was Lawrence just casually checking on him at one in the morning?

How many people would ask a regular friend ”are you alright” at one in the morning?

Could this mean she has feelings for him?

Did she suddenly message him at one in the morning to see if he was with another woman?

If so, doesn’t this greatly increase his chances?

The more Edward thought, the more excited he became, tossing and turning in bed, eventually getting up to pour himself a glass of red wine at the restaurant, sitting at the bar, and lighting a cigarette slowly puffing away.

Lawrence, on the other side, with Kenneth Osborne, went upstairs into the suite, grabbing clothes to take a shower. She suddenly remembered she could use the app to check her family’s location, ensuring her most cared-for people were at home.

If they were home, she wouldn’t have to worry all night.

Lawrence quickly opened the app and first checked her mom’s location.

The phone took forever to locate, and in the end, her mom wasn’t at home, but somewhere quite far from Capital City.

Then she checked on her uncle; he wasn’t at home either but in a distant suburb—at the same place as her mom.

Lawrence relaxed a bit, thinking as long as her uncle and mom were together, there shouldn’t be any big trouble.

Her uncle was very cautious and had taken care of her so well all these years while abroad, he was very reliable.

Finally, she checked the old Daoist, surprisingly alone at home in Capital City.

Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief, just about to put the phone down to fill the tub, when she received a WeChat message from the old Daoist.

”I’m alright; your mom and master may not be.”

Lawrence’s previously calm mind suddenly tensed again, hastily sending a video message: ”Master grandpa, are you still awake? What do you mean? I see uncle and mom together, right? Where did they go?”

The old Daoist, sitting in the living room, looked a bit scruffy, his voice hoarse: ”The land your master looked at two weeks ago might have problems. They were urgently called over tonight.”

Lawrence breathed a long sigh of relief, ”So that’s it... There won’t be anything serious. My uncle is pretty good at Feng Shui; the company paid so much, he wouldn’t make a mistake.”

”Whether it’s a mistake or not, I don’t know, but your master and mom haven’t responded to calls for two hours already. And here’s this...” The old Daoist then pulled up a video to send her: ”I placed a small hidden camera on your master, which only records about a minute of video and sound; you can see for yourself.”
