Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 643: Chapter 339: The World Is So Wondrous (Second Update)

Kenneth Osborne closed his eyes, not wanting to lose his temper with Lawrence Winters, but he couldn’t help it. He took a deep breath, pointed at the three people lying on the ground, and said angrily, ”... How many times has this happened?!”

”You’re just a young girl! Always running off on your own to pick fights!”

”One against three! You think you’re so powerful, don’t you!”

”You say it’s a concussion, so it’s a concussion? What if you accidentally... have you thought about the consequences?!”

Edward Foster came to his senses then, his face changed as well.

He was from a richly aristocratic family and had been in the business world for a few years, often not being a stickler for rules.

But he knew that if someone died, it would indeed be a tricky situation.

His mind raced as he glanced around the shabby room and considered the identities of the three individuals, suddenly remembering someone. He turned and walked out the door, pulling out his phone to make a call.

The phone rang several times before someone answered, ”Young Master Foster, what made you call me this early?”

It was Lucas Harlow’s voice.

He hadn’t gotten up yet, his voice still carrying a touch of sleepy hoarseness.

Edward Foster covered the phone, speaking softly, ”...Lawrence ran into some trouble and needs your help.”

Lucas Harlow immediately sat up in bed, then quickly threw off the covers and got out of bed, putting on his shoes as he said, ”What’s going on? Tell me quickly.”

Edward Foster quickly recounted yesterday’s events and then said, ”I also didn’t expect that after Lawrence came back this morning, he’d ask for an address and then, single-handedly, come to settle accounts with these people. Now he’s beaten them up, and they’re lying in the room. I really don’t know how serious it is...”

Lucas Harlow took a deep breath and said, ”What do you need me to do?”

”I think those three people are involved in shady dealings. Your family is like the ancestors of those involved in shady dealings abroad, and I know you have many followers here in the country. Could you maybe come forward and say a word for Lawrence? I’m also very worried and don’t know how to handle this.”

Edward Foster said with a headache, ”You know I’m a bit of a troublemaker too, but I’ve never gotten into something like this.”

Lucas Harlow understood Lawrence Winters a little better than Edward Foster. He knew this wasn’t the first time Lawrence had done something like this.

He rubbed his temples, ”Got it. Send me the address, and I’ll bring some people over right away. Wait until we arrive before you leave; don’t leave them there.”

”I know, I definitely won’t leave. I hope they’re alright...” Edward Foster looked back into the room and sent the address to Lucas Harlow. He also reminded him, ”Don’t let your sister know about this, your sister and her daughter don’t see eye to eye with Lawrence. I’m worried they might...”

Edward Foster didn’t continue with what might happen.

Lucas Harlow pressed his lips together, ”I understand, the fewer people who know about this, the better.”

He looked at the address and found it wasn’t far from where he was staying.

Because this place was already a getaway spot with high-end vacation villas, a favorite for wealthy people from Capital City during weekends.

Lawrence Winters sure had good luck. Lucas Harlow started to laugh as he looked for his clothes.

He couldn’t help but feel happier just thinking about her, and it made him smile.

On the other end, Edward Foster sheepishly scratched his head when he heard Lucas Harlow say the fewer people who know about it, the better, he quickly said, ”Well... several of my subordinates already know.”

”Then you need to keep their mouths shut.” Lucas Harlow felt a sudden tension and immediately changed his plans.

He’d have to pull out all the stops, or else there would be endless repercussions.

Meanwhile, inside the flat-roofed brick house, three men lay on the ground motionless.

Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne stood in the midst of the mess, both not looking too happy.

Lawrence Winters couldn’t lift his head after Kenneth Osborne’s scolding. Even though she knew Kenneth was right, she still felt a bit wronged.

Why she felt wronged, she didn’t want to consider that for now.

After Kenneth Osborne finished venting his anger, she finally lifted her head and said calmly, ”I already said, I knew what I was doing. They’re still alive, just fainted. If you don’t believe me, check their breathing.”

As she spoke, she pointed at Brandon lying at her feet and said, ”This bastard nearly killed my uncle last night, and he even wanted to harm my mom. As a niece and daughter, do you think I can swallow this?! ”

”As long as I have the ability, I won’t let them continue to be so smug until tomorrow!”

Kenneth Osborne rubbed his temple, ”...But you shouldn’t have come alone, right? Why didn’t you tell me? Haven’t you heard that two heads are better than one?”

”If I told you, would you have agreed?” Lawrence Winters gave him a glance, then looked away, ”Actually, I just didn’t want to put you in a difficult position, so I did it myself. I calculated the timing; if I hadn’t exchanged more than a few words with that bastard, you wouldn’t have known about it.”
