Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 616: Chapter 330: Let the Professionals Handle Professional Matters (Second Update)

She hung up with Edward Foster and called Marilyn, instructing her to immediately take people to Edward’s company to participate in the bidding, and forwarded the materials Edward sent her to Marilyn.

Marilyn was a very shrewd and capable middle-aged woman. After receiving Mrs. Foster’s call, she quickly found her assistant and drove towards the headquarters of the Foster Consortium, reviewing the bidding materials in the car.

Mrs. Foster also called for a driver and silently arrived at the Foster Consortium building, wanting to see who was working overtime with Edward on this weekend.

Relying on a mother’s intuition and clues revealed by Edward, she concluded that the girl working overtime with him today was likely the one he was pursuing.

Therefore, she hurried over to see the excitement.

When Marilyn reached the first floor of the building, it was exactly seven o’clock, so by the time she entered the meeting room of NewHuman Entertainment Ltd., she was already five minutes late.

Fortunately, this wasn’t a college entrance exam, so being five minutes late wouldn’t prevent her from entering.

Mrs. Foster arrived at seven fifteen.

She didn’t enter the meeting room, choosing instead to wait in Edward Foster’s CEO office.

At this time, Producer Zhou was hosting the bidding in the meeting room.

Companies B and C had already been eliminated. They were originally brought in just to make up the numbers, and since they were excluded, Producer Zhou called them in advance to let them know they were out of the running and didn’t need to come.

Therefore, the only one present was Company A, which was performing relatively well.

Lawrence Winters looked at their bid proposal and realized this company was called ”Four Seasons Special Effects Production Co., Ltd.,” with the English name Four Seasons Visual Effect Corporation.

Surprisingly, the participants were three women who didn’t look particularly young; they were all in their early thirties, exuding the aura of capable career women, well-maintained.

Just by looking at their skin and figures, they seemed at most in their early twenties.

But a glance into their eyes revealed they were certainly in their thirties.

Thirty-year-old career women, no matter how well-preserved, can’t disguise the competence reflected in their eyes.

Producer Zhou smiled and introduced, ”This is Director Hong, Manager Zhao, and Manager Chen of Four Seasons Special Effects Company, all of whom have technical backgrounds and have worked on many projects at other companies.”

The Four Seasons Company had been established for less than two years, and these individuals must have been poached from other companies.

Lawrence Winters nodded, indicating his understanding.

Just as Producer Zhou finished the introduction, Marilyn entered with two assistants.

She was also a professional woman, exuding an aura more powerful than the three women from Four Seasons Company because, of course, she was a decade older, with more workplace experience, so her strong presence was expected.

Edward Foster quickly introduced, ”This is Ms. Mo, the representative responsible for bidding from my friend’s company.”

Marilyn nodded at the people in the meeting room and sat down on a row of seats opposite the Four Seasons Company.

Producer Zhou raised his eyebrow and said to the Four Seasons Company representatives, ”Director Hong, could you discuss your plans first?”

Director Hong first went to the microphone and started playing the special effects samples they previously created for ads.

Of course, it wasn’t the sample of the earlier fantasy film, but other works from their company.

”Everyone, please have a look. Although our Four Seasons Company has been established for less than two years, we have produced quite a few works.”

”We have always collaborated with foreign companies, with great expertise in quality control of special effects and highly effective cost control.”

”We are confident in providing high-quality post-production special effects for your fantasy film. You’ve seen our samples, and I believe no domestic company can surpass us. Even if there is, they wouldn’t be as competitively priced as we are.”

She spoke humorously, not aggressively, leaving Lawrence Winters with a good impression of her.

Unfortunately, since she was a competitor, he couldn’t afford to be lenient.

Next was the time for their questions.

Producer Zhou and the director had already discussed with the company in advance, so they only asked a few lukewarm questions and had them emphasize their company’s strengths again.

Lawrence Winters wanted to ask questions, but Edward Foster slightly shook his head, so she had to remain silent.

Though inwardly, she was becoming quite anxious.

Edward Foster nodded and said, ”The Four Seasons Company is indeed pretty good. Although it hasn’t been established long, its works are commendable. By the way, how’s your company’s Mr. Li these days? It’s been a while since I’ve seen him.”

Director Hong smiled, saying, ”Our company changed owners just two months ago. The new owner is quite assertive, encouraging us to take on more domestic special effects projects, which gave us the opportunity to fully cooperate under Producer Zhou’s inquiry.”

Edward Foster realized, ”So that’s why Mr. Li’s style changed—it was a change of ownership!”

He asked a few more questions and then turned to Marilyn, saying, ”Ms. Mo, it’s your turn to speak.”

Marilyn was also impressive. In less than ten minutes in the car, she not only familiarized herself with the rules of this bid but also got a quick understanding of AI Vision Promise’s situation.

Edward didn’t send over any samples but highly praised the company’s prowess in special effects, lauding its limitless future potential, referring to it as the domestic ”Micro Tower.”

In total, Marilyn had only fifteen minutes of preparation, but when she stood at the microphone and spoke eloquently, it seemed as though she had been working at AI Vision Promise for over a decade...

Lawrence Winters watched, deeply impressed.

Unlike Director Hong, Marilyn didn’t play many other samples.

She only played the sample that Edward Foster asked her to present.

This was already the second time it was shown, yet the director and technical director were still captivated.

Producer Zhou was seeing it for the first time and was visibly stunned.

Lawrence Winters and Edward Foster were equally immersed in the wonderful effects of the sample, while the three women from Four Seasons Company were sweating profusely.

When did such a powerful special effects production company emerge in the country???

Where did this AI Vision Promise come from?

If their technology is truly so advanced, it shouldn’t be unknown within the industry.

They glanced uneasily at Producer Zhou.

Producer Zhou quickly reviewed AI Vision Promise Corporation’s materials and soon said, ”AI Vision Promise has indeed done well, but this company has always specialized in artificial intelligence, not as a professional special effects company.”

”Moreover, it has been established for less than a year and had no previous special effects production experience; its qualifications are far too shallow, I think it is unqualified.”

This was an attempt to forcibly exclude AI Vision Promise.

Lawrence Winters smiled slightly, took a sip of coffee.

Marilyn adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses sharply and said, ”Producer Zhou, your bidding rules state clearly that there are no requirements for the qualifications and experience of bidding companies, as long as they are legal companies capable of producing high-quality, post-production effects meeting the requirements of a television plot.”

”Although AI Vision Promise has been established for less than a year, you can see the samples we have made. — Technology doesn’t lie, and geniuses don’t look at qualifications.”

”With Producer Zhou saying this, we have reason to suspect that your stance is not impartial in the bidding. To prevent interest transfers affecting fair competition, I request to revoke Producer Zhou’s decision-making qualification for this bid and have Little Mr. Fu take over.”
