Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1360 - 685: An Unexpected Riot (Part 2)

Because the incident happened suddenly, the instructions were somewhat simplified and very purpose-driven.

So, when the second scarlet-glowing crystal appeared, after these mechanical jellyfish had one more target, they immediately became chaotic.

Xu Xin squinted his eyes slightly.

Lou Fei’Er and Jin Yue, the two of them, should take advantage of this chaotic situation to make it even more chaotic.

What Xu Xin could think of, Lou Fei’Er and the others naturally also thought of.

Moreover, they themselves were going to do this.

The next second, at a distance of about thirty to forty meters from the first crystal, another crystal was suddenly tossed into the air!

The scarlet crystal streaked across the air, flashing so intensely that the alien invaders on the ground could not open their eyes.

Immediately following, on Jin Yue’s side, the fourth scarlet crystal flickered with light.

Suddenly, the chaos on the scene became uncontrollable.

When the first scarlet crystal appeared, these alien invaders were somewhat surprised but still held their ground, thanks perhaps to the control of this world tree.

However, when the second, third, and fourth crystals appeared, they started to become agitated.

And now, with the fifth and sixth crystals appearing in succession.

The scarlet light filled the area, reflecting off the ink-black exterior of the alien invaders, and even bouncing back a sliver of red light.

... No, that’s wrong!

It’s not reflection.

Red patterns appeared on the bodies of these alien invaders!

Just like human veins bulging, these alien invaders’ bodies also started to protrude with blood-vessel-like blood-red patterns!

For a moment, these alien invaders appeared just like those blood-pattern mutated creatures, crawling all over with blood patterns!

This scene shocked Xu Xin and Li Wenxi.

”Is this... the alien invaders themselves undergoing blood pattern mutation?” Li Wenxi exclaimed in surprise.

Xu Xin squinted his eyes.

”It’s certainly possible.” He murmured.

The blood pattern mutation technology was originally a technology that the alien invaders already possessed.

During their first invasion of Earth a millennium ago, the method they first used was to cause Earth’s life forms to undergo blood pattern mutation.

So, in other words, the blood pattern mutation technology wasn’t developed specifically against Earth’s creatures; it was pre-existing.

The monster also mentioned that they utilized the light of concentrated scarlet crystals as weapons to induce mutation in Earth’s life forms.

What was this research originally intended for?

It’s very likely that the alien invaders used their ”Source of Life” to research immortality, thus creating the blood pattern mutation technology.

And now, part of the alien invaders have already achieved longevity, which should also be related to this technology.

Considering this, it’s quite possible the alien invaders themselves also underwent blood pattern mutation.

And this blinding red light of the concentrated scarlet crystals can actually activate their blood pattern mutation!

Of course, this is just Xu Xin’s speculation.

But regardless of whether it’s due to blood pattern mutation, it’s an undeniable fact before Xu Xin and the others that the red light of the concentrated scarlet crystals can make them restless!

Because the alien invaders now are no longer as obedient as before, even...

They have erupted in rebellion!

They emit unpleasant growls, charging towards the direction where the red light shines!

Their ink-black bodies wriggled at an extremely fast speed; despite being a wriggle, the speed exceeded Xu Xin’s imagination!

It seemed as if there were countless legs under their bodies, racing across the wooden world tree floor!

Xu Xin and the others never expected that scarlet crystals would have such an effect.

They actually turned these, just like humans, highly intelligent alien invaders into beast-like monsters!

Fortunately, Xu Xin and the others were roughly at the center of where Lou Fei’Er and Jin Yue threw the scarlet crystals, so the alien invaders near them were running to the sides and didn’t affect them.

Even so, the scene of demons dancing in chaos made both of them sweat on their foreheads, like facing formidable enemies.

Keke, on the other hand, wasn’t afraid at all and even poked her little head out completely, looking around at the chaos.

”... It’s time to act.” Xu Xin murmured, ”Wenxi, I’ll put you into the bracelet, you tell the monster what’s happening, ask it what’s going on, and then ask when it plans to come out of the bracelet. Once we escape from this world tree or need your ability, I’ll release you.”

The outside is still too dangerous right now.

Li Wenxi didn’t waste words, nodded gently, and glanced at the exhibit platform: ”There are no metal mechanisms around there, but you still need to be careful.”

”Okay.”

Xu Xin immediately put Li Wenxi into the bracelet and then turned his gaze to his target of this trip.

The position originally blocked tightly by the black mud clumps was now completely open to Xu Xin.

He realized that the center of the position was actually a platform protruding about thirty centimeters.

And on this platform, the size of five stalls, only two small cabinets were placed.

And the two items on the counter, under Xu Xin’s discerning ability, were emitting a very dazzling golden light.

”These are really good stuff...”

Now around this exhibit platform, it was completely empty.

That’s right, the area surrounding the platform surprisingly didn’t have a single alien invader or mechanical jellyfish anymore.

With the invaders rioting and carrying out commands, the area around this platform had become entirely empty.
