Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1353 - 683: The Inner Voice of the Alien Invaders

Xu Xin looked around, gazing at the bizarre alien invaders in every direction.

The scene could definitely make most people faint from fear.

Thinking about having to enter this crowd made his scalp tingle.

If it weren’t for the invisibility cloak he wore that gave him some confidence, he’d really want to turn back now.

He gently turned to look behind him.

The long corridor suddenly appeared inside the entire World Tree’s inner space, like a train carriage stretching a kilometer long.

Within the World Tree, this train-carriage-like corridor is the only ”structure” that can be called, while all other areas are flat.

And on both sides of the corridor, many alien invaders were ”setting up stalls”.

Unexpectedly, as they walked through the corridor earlier, they were only separated from those alien invaders by a wall, just a few meters away.

At this time, Lou Fei’Er gently leaned towards him.

Xu Xin looked at her with a questioning gaze.

She slightly opened her cloak, and Keke swiftly darted out of her arms into Xu Xin’s embrace.

Xu Xin’s forehead immediately broke out in cold sweat.

He slowly looked around.

Luckily, no one around had noticed them, and the alien invaders were still immersed in their markets.

Xu Xin sighed in relief.

At this moment, Li Wenxi lightly tugged on his arm again.

Xu Xin looked at Li Wenxi, only to see her staring at the corridor behind them with a frightened, panicked expression.

Xu Xin looked at the corridor again.

He couldn’t help but take a deep breath through his nose.

Only to see the initially wooden corridor slowly becoming...

transparent!

The once wooden corridor turned glass-like, allowing a clear view of the interior from the outside!

And the group of alien invaders was momentarily attracted by this change.

Of course, since they have eyes all over their bodies, they don’t need to turn their heads like humans; instead, they seemed to straighten their ink-black bodies, their eyes towards the transparent corridor widening significantly.

Xu Xin and his group were not far from the corridor entrance, and the alien invaders’ gaze directly fell on them.

There were no obstructions in every direction, and the only obstruction—the corridor—became transparent, subjecting them to the gaze of alien invaders from all directions.

Li Wenxi tightened her grip on his arm.

Lou Fei’Er and Jin Yue both moved closer to the pair, looking around warily.

Fortunately, the gaze of alien invaders did not last long.

They seemingly were accustomed to the corridor’s change and returned to their original state after glancing in this direction for just a second or two.

It seemed this kind of occurrence was so common that they didn’t bother paying attention.

The four all sighed in relief.

Xu Xin surveyed the surroundings once more, his gaze stopping at the corridor’s ajar door, where he saw inside the corridor.

Huh...?

He didn’t intentionally look there.

After all, the entire corridor was already transparent; without peering through the door gap, one could see inside, and normally wouldn’t intentionally pay attention to the door gap.

But the circumstances were different.

Because Xu Xin noticed that looking inside through the door gap, he could still see completely opaque wooden walls with annual rings.

On a completely transparent corridor, only this door gap wasn’t transparent, naturally catching his attention.

His expression changed slightly.

What does this imply?

This implies that while the corridor appears transparent from outside looking in, from inside looking out, it remains opaque!

In other words, people outside can see inside, while those inside cannot see outside.

Judging from the alien invaders’ reaction just now, this change is actually very common, so common that they just looked over indifferently.

...Could it be that when walking inside the corridor earlier, it was also transparent?

Li Wenxi and the others also noticed this situation and showed some relief and fear expressions.

Turns out, when they were walking inside the corridor earlier, it wasn’t safe at all, as they could be seen by these alien invaders outside...

No wonder the corridor lacked even a single camera, completely empty, for there was simply no need for installation, since the outside could directly see inside!

It seems that the difficulty of infiltrating this World Tree is absolutely Hell-level...

Even if knowing the method to enter, after coming in confidently thinking no one noticed, hundreds or thousands of alien invaders have already looked over them again and again...

If any other alien invader attempted to infiltrate here, it would be completely impossible.

Xu Xin showed a faint look of survival after disaster.

Zhao Xiaochuan’s invisibility cloak has saved their oblivious selves too many times.

This thing is like an invincible artefact during infiltration, perfectly demonstrating its function.

It makes sense, as this is the nearly thousand-year-old World Tree, the alien invaders’ base camp, not something easily infiltrated.

They were fortunate; otherwise, coming in might have resulted in immediate death.

Understanding all this, Xu Xin, on the other hand, relaxed.

Since they weren’t discovered even in that terrifying surveillance corridor, it already confirmed the super-strong function of the invisibility cloak.
