Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1327 - 674: The Best Opportunity in a Millennium

The four giant ships had completely disappeared into the beam of light, losing all traces.

But everyone present knew that the giant ships hadn’t left, since the purple-black beam was still curving.

”We’d better not let it out,” Wen Guixin said. ”I’ve spoken to it inside. If it appears around here, it could cause a big problem. Why don’t I enter the bracelet and ask it about the situation?”

This was indeed a feasible method.

”I’ll go too,” Xu Ying said.

Xu Xin nodded at the two and then directly turned the bracelet to take them in.

The remaining people exchanged glances and nodded at each other before continuing to approach the purple-black beam knowing what to do.

They were about ten kilometers away from the purple-black beam, but only five kilometers from the dense canopy edge of the nearest world tree surrounding it.

At this moment, the nearby buildings had become much more complex and taller than those near the outskirts.

Qin Fu looked at the ground and said, ”This can’t be considered sand anymore. It should be classified as soil. The plant density has suddenly increased, although there are more and more strange plants.”

The ground indeed had become much more solid; otherwise, the buildings here wouldn’t have become taller.

”These alien invaders claim they like living in the desert, but they found an oasis after all,” Zeng Tao said, stomping the ground forcefully. ”This soil isn’t low grade, right?”

Her force was so strong that it made the ground tremble somewhat.

”Take it easy,” Lou Fei’Er said, tapping Zeng Tao on the head. ”Do you want us to be discovered?”

”Oh, oh, oh...” Zeng Tao pulled back her head and adjusted her gravity to make herself as light as a normal little girl.

”The soil isn’t high grade,” Xu Xin said as he gazed toward the distant world tree. ”This soil likely was transformed by the world tree.”

When Xu Xin and the others planted their world tree, the lower-grade soil around the world tree gradually became more fertile, upgrading to high-grade soil.

Now, the soil under their world tree was basically purple level.

The soil inside the world tree didn’t differ much.

And here...

”The soil beneath our feet is just ordinary white level soil. However, as we approach the world tree, the density of green level soil increases, followed by blue level,” Xu Xin observed with his identifying ability. ”Under the world tree, I can see specks of purple.”

”Only specks of purple level?” Zeng Tao pouted. ”Under our world tree, the soil is mostly purple level, isn’t it? Our world tree must be stronger than theirs! Their three world trees have been planted for perhaps a thousand years and achieved only this much effect.”

”Don’t forget, we’re in a jungle, while they’re in the desert,” Jin Yue said.

Xu Xin nodded.

What he saw as scattered purple level soil was originally just desert sand.

Transforming sand into soil is much more challenging than upgrading pre-existing mostly green level soil into purple level.

”Your identifying ability has become strong indeed,” Li Wenxi said, surprised, looking at Xu Xin. ”The world tree is at least five or six kilometers away from us, right?”

”Since your abilities have enhanced, why can’t mine?” Xu Xin smiled.

”But you didn’t tell us about your ability enhancement,” Li Wenxi pouted.

”I’ve just been using my identification ability less lately.”

Recently, the identification ability had been somewhat redundant; their weapons and equipment no longer had color levels.

His identification ability was a function granted by the biological chip in his brain. The inability to detect the levels of certain items was likely because the identification database didn’t contain these new items.

Besides, he’d been very familiar with the surroundings of their world tree, so there was really no need to use the identification ability.

Until he arrived here, he hadn’t used this nearly forgotten ability for a while.

Unfortunately, around the headquarters of the alien invaders, in this place even another version of Xu Xin from a different timeline was unfamiliar with, his identification ability remained limited in utility, mostly identifying soil levels on the ground.

In simple terms, he had reached the knowledge blind zone of his identification ability.

”Hey, look! Those two purple-black beams are about to merge!”

Wang Lei pointed to the sky behind them with a low exclamation.

At this moment, the two beams finally began to merge.

Upon contact, the two purple-black beams burst out fierce purple-black light!

”It’s so dazzling!” Li Wenxi immediately shielded her eyes with her hands.

Even though purple-black doesn’t typically equate with dazzling, Xu Xin and the others found the light blinding, making it impossible to open their eyes.

This continued for about five seconds.

When Xu Xin and the others could finally look straight again, the two purple-black beams had fused into a purple-black bridge spanning the horizon!

”...Those four giant ships should have been teleported over by now,” Xu Xin said.
