Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1313 - 669: Crossing the Sea of Sand – Alien Base (Part 2)

Just now... that was so thrilling!

I didn’t expect the Silver King’s reaction to be so quick!

You know, this scene seems somewhat familiar.

He remembered that when he used to ride the Silver King swiftly through the jungle, this was how the Silver King avoided the thick trees everywhere.

Even though the jungle was full of obstacles, the Silver King could still shuttle through it at its fastest speed. Riding it through the jungle was extremely exhilarating.

I didn’t expect that in this yellow sand, the excitement would escalate even more!

Just as he was thinking this, another eerie twisted tree appeared in front of them!

But the Silver King twisted its body again and easily dodged it.

The twisted tree passed through their miserable five-meter visibility range like an afterimage, retreating into the yellow sands behind.

This time, Xu Ying saw it: ”Ah, it’s the Twisted Tree. Silver King, be careful!”

She yelled towards the back, then spat as she turned around and quickly explained, ”In deserts, places with these trees are usually full of them.”

”Twisted Tree?” Xu Xin was puzzled.

”Didn’t Lou Fei’Er and the others talk about their experiences in the desert, about that kind of tree?”

Xu Xin’s eyebrows slightly raised.

He remembered.

Previously, Lou Fei’Er and the others dug a big pit beside such a tree to draw the Teleportation Array Pattern.

They said that the tree looked extremely twisted, like countless tentacles tangled together, with disgusting bugs crawling through the gaps in these tentacles.

That’s the kind of tree we just encountered.

But the Silver King didn’t seem to mind. It seemed to be able to sense the chaotic surroundings, dodging the obstacles of the Twisted Trees repeatedly without slowing down.

It felt like in this situation, Qin Fu should come out, as his ability is to sense all the plants around, and if the only obstacle is the Twisted Trees, he would be the most suitable.

However, never mind, the environment is too rough now and the speed is too fast. He might not be able to stay stable if he comes out.

Besides, the Silver King can handle it by itself.

Zhao Xiaochuan, who was clinging tightly to the fur of the Silver King in front, could now lift his head slightly to observe the front.

After brushing past a Twisted Tree, he exclaimed in terror, ”Whoa!”

Then he got a mouthful of sand: ”Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey!”

Afterwards, he buried his head down again, not caring anymore.

The main thing is that if you can’t see it, it’s not dangerous.

”Don’t worry, it’s fine,” Xu Xin said.

And so, the three people and one wolf traveled through the raging sandstorm.

After about half an hour, finally, the yellow sand had significantly thinned, and the visibility distance gradually increased.

Gradually, that purple-black light pillar emerged from the increasingly sparse yellow sand all around.

Silver King really hadn’t lost its way.

It had always been charging in the right direction.

Finally, the entire yellow sand receded.

For a moment, Xu Xin felt that the vast desert before him was so clear and captivating.

”Finally... the sandstorm has finally receded!”

Zhao Xiaochuan pushed himself up from the Silver King’s back and shouted towards the sky.

”Hey, quiet down!” Xu Ying, no longer facing backwards, turned herself around and said, ”We’re already very close to their main base now. Do you want to be discovered by them?”

”Don’t worry, Yingying, my ability is very strong, even if I speak loudly, they won’t notice me,” Zhao Xiaochuan exaggeratedly spread his arms, as if embracing a new world, ”Haha, we broke through the first level!”

Xu Xin glanced back at him: ”The sandstorm hasn’t receded. We just passed through the sandstorm area.”

Behind them, there was still a thick wall of sandstorm.

A dirt-yellow miasma zone that just looking at made people want to retreat.

Unbelievable they managed to pass completely through this sandstorm.

And the biggest contributor was the Silver King.

”Good job, Silver King,” Xu Xin patted it.

”Yip! Yipyip!” At this moment, Keke also lifted her head, chirping to lavish praise on the Silver King, ”Yipyip!”

”Awoo—” the Silver King let out a wolf howl, its speed seemed to increase even more.

The purple-black light pillar was getting closer and closer.

Soon, Xu Xin and the others could see the silhouette of the World Tree from the desert horizon.

”We’re almost there,” Xu Xin took a deep breath and said.

”Yes.” Xu Ying pressed her lips together, then her eyes became resolute, ”We’re almost there.”

”Wow... my heart is pounding so fast!” Zhao Xiaochuan tightly clutched his chest, ”Are we about to see... the city of the alien invaders?”

The main base of the alien invaders, which could also be referred to as their main city.

With this Transmission Array that can cross galaxies at its center, three World Trees surround it.

And further around, there are numerous facilities.

The World Tree of the alien invaders isn’t like Xu Xin’s, where the inside is a small world capable of supporting anything.

Their treehouses are just normal treehouses, so some things have to be outside.

For example, the various high-tech factories of the alien invaders.

Just like the building facilities now before the eyes of Xu Xin and the others.

”Are these their facilities?”

From their current position, they were about thirty kilometers from the purple-black light pillar.

And here, they saw a vast expanse of metal buildings.

These buildings reflected a metallic sheen under the fierce sunlight, and even though the desert’s daytime temperature exceeded 40 degrees, these metal buildings still gave off a chilling vibe.
