Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1324 - 673: Aerospace Dreadnoughts

”This is...” Xu Xin and the others turned pale.

These battleships were actually hovering directly in mid-air!

Even from a distance of over ten kilometers, Xu Xin and his team could clearly see the distorted air below the battleships.

These battleships seemed to be floating in the atmosphere-bound and gravity-laden earth by downward thrust energy.

But...

The size of these giant ships was truly enormous!

”This...such a massive size, it must be nearly a thousand meters long...” Li Wenxi mumbled, staring at the four gigantic ships in the distance.

Vastly surpassing the imaginations of Xu Xin and his team.

It’s important to know that the military pinnacle aircraft carriers on Earth a thousand years ago were only slightly over three hundred meters long.

These thousand-meter-long giant ships were not in water but in the air and were hovering so steadily...

Moreover, these giant ships probably had functions of their own, allowing them to roam through space, travel across the galaxy, and move between universes.

They suddenly once again felt the technological chasm between them and the alien invaders, like an impassable barrier.

”These giants want to enter the Transmission Array!” Zhao Xiaochuan exclaimed, ”They’re not trying to protect the Transmission Array, but rather to enter it!”

This was something Xu Xin knew the moment he laid eyes on it.

He turned to Xu Ying and asked, ”Have you seen their giant ships before?”

Xu Ying’s expression was also very grave at this moment, and she shook her head, saying, ”No, at least in the three hundred years I’ve been in contact with them, they have never used these four battleships. However, even though I haven’t seen them, I’ve heard about these four giant ships. It is said that this invasion fleet is composed of one super-giant ship and three medium-sized giant ships.”

Three medium-sized giant ships, one super-giant ship?

Xu Xin then noticed that one of the giant ships was significantly larger than the other three. If the other three giant ships were nearly a thousand meters long, then the largest one was at least nearly two thousand meters long!

Earlier, since the super-giant battleship was the farthest from Xu Xin and his team and was half-blocked by a purple-black light pillar, they hadn’t noticed it before.

Upon hearing Xu Ying’s explanation, everyone immediately realized it.

”They’ve brought out their interstellar travel heavy equipment?” Li Wenxi asked in surprise.

”My God...what are they trying to do?”

Zhao Xiaochuan said in shock, then suddenly his eyes lit up, ”Oh wait, I remember that creature said this purple-black light pillar connects to their home planet, right? Now these battleships obviously want to enter it...could it be that they want to return?”

Then he denied his own guess, ”No, no, didn’t it say they can’t come back if they go back? Why would they take the ship back...”

”Wouldn’t a non-bending path lead to their home planet? Since it’s starting to bend now...” Xu Xin felt very ill at ease, ”That means their destination for transmission has likely changed.”

”That’s correct.”

Xu Ying looked at the bending purple-black light pillar.

She pursed her lips and said, ”This is the first time even for me to see this central purple-black light pillar at the alien invader base bend. The creature mentioned before that this light pillar is a transmission column connected to their home planet through warp, so under normal circumstances, they would not convert their transmission target.”

”So that means...” Xu Xin looked at the massive purple-black transmission light pillar that was slowly shifting, ”Their once-in-a-thousand-years occurrence? But their transmission destination...”

”Could something else have happened in the universe?” Zhao Xiaochuan said with great interest, ”Did they discover something in the universe that caused the inter-galactic Transmission Array to change its target, prompting their interstellar battleships to move out?”

As he continued to speak, he became more excited, slapping his thigh, ”Haha, wouldn’t that mean their main base is ultimately depleted? Our mission difficulty will be reduced once again!”

”Is that so?” Li Wenxi, who had been very worried, suddenly felt he was right after hearing Zhao Xiaochuan’s explanation.

”I’m not too sure about this.” Xu Ying shook her head, then looked at Xu Xin’s wristband, ”Maybe we can let the creature come out to assess the current situation?”

Xu Xin touched his wristband and said, ”Really let it out? Didn’t it say it’s rather special and could likely be discovered once released?”

”Aren’t we already in place?” Xu Ying pointed to the four giant battleships over ten kilometers away, ”We are already right on their doorstep, aren’t we? Moreover, with the Cloak of Invisibility, we shouldn’t be discovered so easily, right?”

Then she denied herself by shaking her head, ”Forget it, it’s better to be cautious, let’s wait until the giant ships have transmitted away. These giant ships are still hovering in the air and are so close, if anything goes wrong, it would be disastrous.”

”Let’s take this opportunity to get even closer and have a look,” Li Wenxi suggested, ”With the Cloak of Invisibility, as long as we don’t make any big moves, we shouldn’t have any issues, right?”

Xu Xin looked around and then nodded.

”We are very close now, it’s very dangerous here. We may need more teamwork to move forward.”

They needed Qin Fu’s detailed control of the surroundings, Wen Guixin’s super combat infection ability, Lou Fei’Er and Jin Yue’s speed as the vanguard, and Wang Lei and Zeng Tao’s strength as support.
