Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 994: Chapter 559: Mission of the Alien Invader (2)

Shi Wanyun looked troubled: ”I did the same thing just now, but it didn’t work. Aren’t you... afraid of that monster?”

”Well... it’s quite disgusting, physically uncomfortable, but to say very scared, not really.” Xu Xin replied honestly.

”I see...” Shi Wanyun was slightly disappointed.

It seemed Xu Xin couldn’t empathize with her. Also, her desire to see Xu Xin frightened was not fulfilled.

”I’m still very scared.”

Shi Wanyun confessed, she truly didn’t want to face that memory again: ”Perhaps it’s because it is my own memory, which records not only images and sounds, but also feelings. Even if I look to the other side, I will have the same feeling as at that time, and if I look at that monster... it would be worse than before.”

Oh?

This memory is quite advanced.

It not only preserves images but also retains the feelings of the time.

If injured at that time, wouldn’t it even retain the pain?

”Bear with it a little, it’s the key image.”

Xu Xin was not completely insensitive, it’s just that this was too important.

It was the alien invader!

”...Could you give me an arm?”

Xu Xin was slightly taken aback but nodded.

Shi Wanyun reached out and hugged his arm, gritted her teeth, and pressed her forehead against it.

Xu Xin immediately closed his eyes.

The image appeared again.

Shi Wanyun was kneeling on the ground, hands supporting herself, her body trembled slightly as she stared at the ground.

On the bluish-green chair in front, the monster with so many eyes, was looking at Shi Wanyun who was kneeling on the ground.

And he clearly felt that the strength with which Shi Wanyun was holding his arm suddenly increased.

...This soft sensation was indeed somewhat heartwarming.

But at the moment he glanced at the monster, any desire instantly dissipated.

...Even with mental preparation, that appearance still made him feel extreme discomfort inside and out.

So disgusting...

This is just too disgusting...

Time ticked away, and the monster sitting on the chair did not speak.

Sweat dripped constantly from Shi Wanyun’s forehead as she knelt on the ground, her breathing became rapid.

Yet she still did not dare to lift her head.

Finally, the monster spoke.

Its mouth, almost splitting open towards the back of its head, opened, revealing smooth teeth similar to a human’s, rather than the sharp teeth of a beast.

This was somewhat inconsistent with its appearance.

However, this could suggest that alien invaders, like humans, are omnivores.

”The intelligent creatures of Earth, the more I look, the more disgusting they seem...”

Its voice carried a trace of disdain, even its many eyes reacted.

One by one, they squinted as if frowning.

Then, except for the eyes on its head, all other eyes closed.

On the ground, upon hearing the voice, Shi Wanyun’s body trembled.

Xu Xin was quite shocked.

Because the words the alien invader just spoke were not any language he was familiar with!

This was a language with particularly strange pronunciation, made by aliens using speech organs distinct from Earth’s lifeforms, normal humans might not be able to produce those sounds.

But Xu Xin could understand this alien language!

He could actually understand what this alien creature was saying!

However, it was clear that Shi Wanyun, kneeling on the ground, couldn’t understand.

She had slightly recovered at this time, the alien no longer exerted pressure on her by opening all its eyes, she felt much better.

She gently looked up.

Then quickly lowered her head again.

And Xu Xin’s arm, originally released slightly, was tightly held again.

”You are, the first one, daring to look at me a second time.” The monster spoke again.

This time, the language from its mouth switched to one very familiar to Xu Xin.

Though, it was noticeably awkward, clearly not too fluent, and the tone was slightly incorrect.

Like a foreigner who recently learned Chinese.

Or rather, an alien.

This time, Shi Wanyun understood, she didn’t dare to look up again, lowering her head and said: ”May I ask, you came here, is...”

”I... have been watching you.” The monster’s mouth split open, its entire lower face squirming, making Xu Xin frown.

Now he was almost used to it, besides still being somewhat disgusted, he could look straight at it.

”Watching me...” Shi Wanyun’s heart sank, ”Why?”

She really didn’t want such a thing to watch her...

”I don’t have an obligation to explain to you... hmm...” The monster was clearly not fluent in this language, still trying to find the right words.

Then it whispered in that peculiar language: ”Did I get it right? The language of these disgusting looking Earthlings is really hard to learn.”

It’s the second time it’s called humans disgusting.

Being called disgusting by something so repulsive, Xu Xin really didn’t know what to say.

Perhaps, humans in their eyes are just like they are in humans’ eyes, an image that can cause physical discomfort?

Thinking this way, it was somewhat interesting.

Although he didn’t know why he could understand what it said, at least the monster before them didn’t seem to harbor significant malice towards Shi Wanyun.

It even communicated with her in human language.

”I need you to help me do something.” The monster spoke again.

As it spoke, it reached into its body like black mud and then flung something in front of Shi Wanyun with a raise of its hand.
