Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 975: Chapter 552: Survivors from 30 Years Ago (Part 3)

She turned back to look at the metallic bed that had just restrained her and left her powerless, shook her head, and decided not to stay here anymore.

This place makes people feel a bit uncomfortable. The blood patterns on the bed are so strange. It’s better to return to that room first.

She pushed the door open and walked out.

On the left end of the corridor is a dead-end, while the other side reveals a wooden passage at its end.

It should be that way.

Shi Wanyun headed in that direction.

Along the way, some of the prison doors were open, while others were shut tight.

The open prisons were empty. Some were similar to hers with just a metal bed, while others contained some eerie tools that gave her goosebumps.

Some even had bloodstains on them!

And the people were all in the locked prisons.

The prison doors weren’t soundproof. Shi Wanyun could almost hear faint moans and some rather miserable screams from each closed prison door.

This made her quicken her pace, leaving this area swiftly.

...Although there were survivors like her everywhere here, she now felt the whole place was filled with a sense of discord, always felt this wasn’t quite a place fit for living...

Have those survivors from other regions really lived here for decades, even tens of years?

Speaking of which, since the first few batches of survivors have been here for decades, they should have left Earth decades ago, right?

They’re not from the same era as her anymore.

The woman just now might as well be from her grandmother’s generation.

”Ah, you’re here!”

At this moment, she heard a familiar voice.

Turning her head, she saw face 228.

”The supervisor came all the way over to find me, let me be responsible for your accommodations, looks like she values you a lot!” 228 said excitedly, ”Turns out you really are strong, in the future don’t forget it was me who brought you up here!”

”Am I going back to the previous room now?”

”No, no, no need, why stay in that shabby room.” 228 shook her head, nearly shaking her head off her neck, ”You can come sleep with me. Hey, my position here is quite decent, where I live can accommodate several people, much better than the room you just slept in.”

”Thank you then.” Shi Wanyun was just thinking of chatting more with 228; living with her would be so much more convenient.

”Let’s go.”

led her towards her place.

”By the way, that...” Shi Wanyun was uncertain how to address her.

”Just call me 228, and your name... I won’t ask it, since you won’t need it in the future.”

”...Does your supervisor not have a name either?”

”No one has a name here, the supervisor is number 5, pretty forward, right, sounds powerful!”

”Number 5...”

Shi Wanyun was a bit shocked, number 5 was very forward, proof she was really an elder here.

She then asked: ”228, how long have you been here?”

”Twenty to thirty years, I can’t quite remember.” 228 recalled, then argued, ”But I’m no old granny, people who come here can all live forever, I’m still very young!”

”Then, when you were on Earth, from which era were you? When I left Earth, it was 202x.” Shi Wanyun asked her question.

”202x? Wow, that late already!” 228 exclaimed, ”202x! Feels like the future! When I left, a big country had just disbanded!”

...199x?

She’s really a person from thirty years ago!

Saying it wasn’t surprising would be a lie, after all, people from over thirty years ago, aren’t they older than her mother...

Yet the girl in front of her looked about her age...

This feeling was truly a bit peculiar.

...

”Wait!”

Xu Xin suddenly interrupted Shi Wanyun, his expression a bit strange.

”You just said, the survival time for the first few batches of survivors was in the past, was 199x?”

”Past...? What do you mean? They left Earth decades ago to come here.” Shi Wanyun was a bit confused by Xu Xin’s question.

Shi Wanyun didn’t quite understand what Xu Xin said, since Xu Xin hadn’t yet told her the truth about this world, in her mind, this place was just a peculiar alien world.

Xu Xin then furrowed his brows directly.

His thoughts were a bit confused.

Aren’t the survivors all people from just before the alien invasion arrived?

Weren’t they sent to the future, only being transmitted in batches, so the arrival time point was different?

But... were the first few batches really people from the past?!

”Huh...”

Xu Xin suddenly thought of something he discovered when he first came to this world.

It was when he climbed down for a long time, arrived at an underground room, and in that room, he found a skeleton.

Behind the skeleton were some Greek words he couldn’t understand.

And the production date on the compressed biscuits that the skeleton wrapped around had eaten proved, he was from 198x!

This matter he had almost forgotten!

Plus the matter he had always been puzzled about, the inexplicably large number of survivors...

This...

How on Earth did these batches upon batches of survivors arrive in this world?
