Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 939: Chapter 540: I Don’t Want to Become a Monster (Part 2)

As for their relationship...

If that Yingying is indeed the Xu Ying who has lived for hundreds of years, then maybe Keke was once her little pet?

Anyway, if we could find out where Keke keeps running off to, we might discover some surprises.

”It’s up to you.”

Xu Xin softly spoke to the direction where Keke and Lou Fei’Er disappeared, then controlled the roots of his treehouse and entered it.

At the moment, the treehouse was empty and lacked the usual lively atmosphere, with voices occasionally coming from the first and second floors, making it seem much quieter.

Where are Zeng Tao and Shi Wanyun?

He heard voices coming from the secondary bedroom.

It was Zeng Tao.

”Let’s see if you can move now!”

What’s going on?

He immediately walked to the door of the secondary bedroom and pushed it open.

What he saw made his eyelid twitch and his mouth twitch.

”...What are you doing?”

In front of him was a very chaotic scene.

The originally tidy secondary bedroom was in complete disarray, objects scattered around while in the center of the room lay the large bed with both Zeng Tao and Shi Wanyun on it.

Moreover, their posture was quite ambiguous.

Shi Wanyun was lying on her stomach on the bed, and Zeng Tao was riding on her lower back, one hand pressing Shi Wanyun’s head to the side, and the other pinning her hands behind her.

And Shi Wanyun’s face happened to be facing Xu Xin’s direction; Xu Xin could see that her expression was no longer as calm and gentle as usual, but rather filled with annoyance and shame.

Mimi was also in the room, lying by the bed, watching the commotion on the bed. It opened its mouth to yawn, then licked its paw.

...This scenario was somewhat peculiar.

Because Zeng Tao was sitting on her lower back, Shi Wanyun’s legs weren’t restrained; they kept kicking behind Zeng Tao when Xu Xin entered.

But once Xu Xin arrived, she likely found the situation too embarrassing and stopped moving her legs.

At the same time, she wanted to turn her head away so Xu Xin couldn’t see her expression, but her head was firmly held down by Zeng Tao and couldn’t move. In the end, she could only tightly shut her eyes, her face flushed, and purse her lips, uncertain if it was from anger or shame.

”Xu Xin, you came at just the right time! This woman just tried to run away!” With Xu Xin’s arrival, Zeng Tao turned to look at him, increasing the pressure on Shi Wanyun’s head to prevent her escape, making Shi Wanyun give a muffled groan.

”...Running away?”

”Yes, just now!” Zeng Tao glared hatefully at Shi Wanyun. ”We were having a good conversation; I trusted her, even considered her a friend, but suddenly her expression changed, and she pushed me before jumping out the window! She was so fast! If not for Mimi being faster and blocking her at the window, she almost got away!”

...Pushed Zeng Tao and then tried escaping in front of Mimi?

Xu Xin chuckled and shook his head.

What a silly thing for this woman to suddenly do.

”...You...lift up a bit!” Shi Wanyun’s voice was no longer gentle but filled with pain and sharpness, ”You’re too heavy! My waist is going to snap!”

For Shi Wanyun, who always spoke softly, to say such things, it was evident how much pain she was in.

”Alright, lighten up a bit; your weight isn’t something a normal person can bear!” Xu Xin hurriedly said.

Xu Xin had experienced Zeng Tao’s weight before when she fell unconscious on him, almost breaking his leg, and he couldn’t free himself. Only when she lost her abilities and her weight returned to normal did Xu Xin avoid serious injury.

Let alone now, with Zeng Tao exerting force; just the thought of it spells trouble.

If she keeps pressing down, Shi Wanyun’s waist might indeed break, and her organs could be damaged.

”...I’m only heavy because of my ability! It’s not actual weight; I’m naturally very light!” Zeng Tao responded unhappily to Xu Xin’s remark, but relaxed her body, shifting the weight onto her legs, causing the bed to creak.

Thankfully, this bed is blue-grade, with decent load capacity. As long as Zeng Tao doesn’t make large movements, it shouldn’t collapse...

Zeng Tao’s adjustment visibly relaxed Shi Wanyun’s expression from struggling to breathe; she parted her lips slightly, exhaling heavily.

She must have been under quite a bit of pressure.

Xu Xin walked to the bed, squatted down, and looked at Shi Wanyun’s face, pinned by Zeng Tao, unable to turn her head.

Seeing Xu Xin facing her, she immediately shut her eyes, full of shamed annoyance, but spoke with closed eyes, ”Get Zeng Tao off me. I won’t run; your leopard is here, so I can’t escape.”

Her voice turned gentle once more, albeit laced with annoyance and resignation.

”...Mimi is a cheetah.” Xu Xin pulled a nearby chair over and sat down, not indicating for Zeng Tao to let go, ”Speak, why did you try to escape? If you give me a reasonable explanation, I’ll let you go. If not...”

Xu Xin squinted his eyes, ”Then letting Zeng Tao crush you to death doesn’t matter.”

His patience has limits; if Shi Wanyun behaved, that’s fine, but her dishonesty is testing his tolerance.
