Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 924: Chapter 535: The Popular Crystal House (Part 2)

Even extended its claws, making gestures akin to hand signals.

With numerous mutated creatures around, his mind was suddenly flooded with a torrent of voices, incredibly chaotic, giving him a headache.

Most were saying things like ”What place is this?” ”Feels so comfortable” and so on.

Xu Xin immediately shut off his mind-reading ability and then rubbed his head.

”Ying ying? Ying ying ying!” Keke lay on Xu Xin’s shoulder, shouting downwards a few times.

Instantly, several around turned to look, and even responded with a few sounds.

”Are they communicating with each other?” Lou Fei’Er exclaimed in surprise.

She and Jin Yue both watched the scene in front of them with some astonishment.

Xu Xin was somewhat surprised as well.

These mutated creatures, have they been influenced by this Crystal City to gain intelligence?

...No.

Creatures of this world inherently have considerable intelligence.

Keke has communicated normally with countless animals, even served as a translator for him before.

Silver King, Mimi can understand what he says, their thoughts almost no different than a normal human, just slightly simpler, not as complex as humans.

Let alone those giant beasts, the giant python in the underground world, the soft giant beast suppressed under the prison, the giant insect he drove away, their thoughts are very clear, no different from humans.

Possibly even surpassing ordinary humans.

Not only them are affected.

Xu Xin recalled those few giant fish jumping on the ground after the flood receded.

At that time, he commanded those fish to stop, and they did, asked them to leave, and they immediately jumped back into the lake.

Even fish with extremely low intelligence can still understand what he says and respond to his instructions.

Back then, he thought the creatures of this world were inherently wise, but now...

This place is indeed Earth, can’t believe within a thousand years, these creatures have evolved such intelligence?

This is likely the benefit brought by the beast bloodline!

Wild animals of this world have been subtly influenced, almost all carrying beast bloodline, thus possessing considerable intelligence.

Calculating it this way...

Blood Pattern mutation shouldn’t enhance intelligence, it not only fails to enhance, but even causes mental disorder and decline in intellect.

This can be seen from the Blood Pattern Giant Xu Xin blew to pieces, such a huge creature, yet its thoughts were somewhat chaotic.

This is also proved by those Blood Pattern Giant Beasts in the underground world, each one gigantic but not as clear-headed as these creatures around Xu Xin.

Thus, these creatures’ behavior makes sense.

Their Blood Pattern mutation was suppressed, beast bloodline strengthened, sanity restored while intellect rose to some degree, resulting in the current situation.

”They are making a move!” Lou Fei’Er, very curious about these creatures with human-like behavior, brightened up as she saw them start moving, ”Is this... entering the house?”

Xu Xin and Jin Yue also looked over.

These animals, after moving, did not attack the city again but also did not retreat from the range of Crystal City to rejoin the beast group.

One by one, they walked into the crystal houses glowing with faintly white light.

The light emitted by these crystal houses was no longer as bright as before, gradually returning to normal brightness.

Even so, crystal houses in their normal state are still very appealing to these mutated creatures.

Xu Xin reopened mind-reading.

”Feels so comfortable inside...”

”I like these houses.”

”I want to stay here...”

”Feeling sleepy now...”

Similar thoughts poured into his mind in large quantities, Xu Xin pondered.

These creatures, all attracted by the crystal houses, even eager to reside here permanently!

”What’s happening? Why are they all going inside?”

Lou Fei’Er, unable to contain her curiosity about the behavior of these mutated creatures, finally jumped down from the rooftop and peered into the house.

Jin Yue looked at Xu Xin.

Xu Xin nodded and jumped down as well, Jin Yue closely following.

Lou Fei’Er, now by the window looking inside, turned to Xu Xin and the others as they came down, ”I thought those few going into the house together would fight over territory, but they didn’t, truly disappointing.”

This crystal house was precisely the two-story one they were standing on earlier.

Being two stories, it’s the largest house in the vicinity, so a total of six or seven mutated creatures entered it, seemingly the stronger ones among the group, including the leopard from before.

Now, as they peered inside through the window, the creatures inside all appeared comfortably lounging, the leopard even yawned and glanced at Xu Xin and the others outside.

”Seems not an enemy...”

Then, the leopard curled up its body and buried its head, about to sleep right away.

Similar to how Mimi curls by the fireplace during winter.

Overall, it’s very cozy, seemingly without much defense.

It should feel a strong sense of security within this house.

The other animals inside were the same, none showed hostility towards others, all lounging comfortably, as if they had already turned this crystal house into their nest cave.
