Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 915: Chapter 532: New Arrangements, Beast Tide Approaches!

After all, under the influence of this World Tree, their tree house can be transplanted at any time!

The situation is urgent now, so let’s arrange it like this for now. Once the World Tree fully grows and becomes safe, they can transplant it however they wish.

They can transplant to the lakeside to enjoy the lake view, or get closer to other survivors, or even outside the Crystal City, they can transplant however they like.

”That’s right, we’ll talk about it later. Right now, our goal is to protect this World Tree!” Wang Lei looked full of vigor, ”This World Tree is amazing, it can influence such a large range even in its infancy, allowing us to perfectly transplant. If it fully grows...”

”If it grows, I feel like our good life is about to come! Haha!” Zhao Xiaochuan laughed, ”A mature World Tree must have all kinds of functions!”

”...It would be great if Wenxi were here too.” Qi Xuefei sighed, ”Wenxi not being here always makes our team feel incomplete.”

”...Wenxi will be fine,” Xu Xin paused briefly before speaking.

Over this period, he would occasionally check on Wenxi’s name, and fortunately, her name was always lit up.

But he still couldn’t get in touch with her.

He looked up at the World Tree, which was still growing and constantly emitting crackling sounds.

The banyan tree in its current state could already be called a towering giant.

After this period of growth, the tree had reached a height of a hundred meters, roughly thirty stories tall, with an incomparably dense canopy that blocked out the sky, completely covering this central area of the Crystal City.

The dense canopy allowed not a trace of light to pass through, but the glow of the Crystal City itself was enough to keep the surroundings quite bright.

”Wait a moment, something seems off!” At this point, Zhao Xiaochuan looked up at the Crystal City and said, ”If all this light is blocked and there’s no sunlight, how are we supposed to plant anything?”

He was responsible for planting, so he was quite concerned about this aspect.

”Then don’t plant here.” Wen Guixin glanced around, ”Who plants in the city center? Isn’t there a large area for planting on the outskirts of the Crystal City? We have rice and wheat seeds, those are best planted there. No matter how big the World Tree gets, its canopy can’t cover the entire Crystal City, right?”

”Then... what about the high-end fruits? I planted those in the planting room inside the tree house; they mature more slowly when planted outside, don’t they?” Zhao Xiaochuan asked, a bit worried, ”Afterward, will I have to move them outside?”

”No need to worry about that for now,” Xu Xin shook his head, ”The Crystal City can affect the soil’s fertility, and it might also affect the growth of plants. Perhaps this crystal-white glow is even more useful than sunlight. Besides...”

He looked up.

”Besides, don’t forget the most important tree,” Ji Chaoyang reminded them.

Indeed.

The young World Tree before them was not just a towering tree that blocked out the sky.

The seed from which it was planted was called the [Supreme Tree House Seed].

This was a tree house in the making!

A giant tree house!

So, when it matures, there should be an incredibly large space above!

He thought of the towering giant tree in the video call with Shi Wanyun, with its tree house canopy brightly lit.

Maybe once this tree house grows, they might all move up there to live.

”Ah, that’s true!” Zhao Xiaochuan clapped his hands, suddenly realizing, ”We might be able to move up there in the future!”

”Let’s talk about it once the World Tree matures. For now...”

Before Xu Xin could finish his sentence, his watch suddenly started vibrating.

Raising his hand, he saw it was a voice call from Lou Fei’Er.

Because she and Jin Yue were fast, he had just sent them to check the surroundings at the edge of the Crystal City, to report any abnormalities immediately.

He quickly answered the call: ”What happened?”

”The beast tide is about to arrive!”

The beast tide is coming?

Xu Xin was somewhat puzzled.

He had always been keeping an eye on the map in his mind, and until now, there were no bright red dots around, just ordinary wild animals moving about after the jungle returned to normal temperature.

But Lou Fei’Er’s explanation immediately made him and all the exploration team members tense up.

”On the ground, a Teleportation Array Pattern is emerging! Similar to the one Shi Wanyun painted!”

Are they trying to directly teleport the mutated creatures here again!

Last time during the beast tide in the winter season, it was transported through numerous Teleportation Array Patterns, which were hidden under a thick layer of snow, obscuring both the patterns and the dizzy mutated creatures that had just teleported over due to teleportation side effects.

This time they’re not hiding it at all!

”The patterns are getting brighter, they’re blood patterns! What should we do? There are too many of these patterns!” Lou Fei’Er’s voice was slightly anxious.

”Where are the patterns?” Ji Chaoyang asked, ”Are they only outside the city? Or are they also on the ground inside the city?”

”Oh, not inside the city!” Lou Fei’Er immediately replied, ”They’re only outside, and at a distance of about a hundred meters from the edge of the Crystal City!”

Indeed, the inside of the city is very safe. The beast tide should be trying to attack from the outside in.

The surrounding explorers were all frowning, pondering their countermeasures.

The Crystal City... is too large.
