Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 902: Chapter 528: I’ll Tell You Everything I Know (5300 Words)

World Tree Siege...

Did they find out about us planting that [Excellent Treehouse Seed]?

[To all non-188 region survivors, at this moment... you all...]

The mysterious voice in their ears suddenly became intermittent and increasingly quieter, eventually becoming inaudible.

Everyone present looked at each other in confusion.

This was the first time such an occurrence had happened, making everyone feel tense and inexplicably bewildered.

But soon, they understood.

”Isn’t this just a way to prevent us in region 188 from hearing it?” Wen Guixin rubbed her ears and said, ”Is this about assigning tasks only to people in other regions?”

That seemed to be the case.

From the name of the activity mentioned by the mysterious voice, [World Tree Siege], it seemed they wanted to utilize the strength of survivors from other regions to destroy the World Tree that hadn’t fully grown yet.

After all, from various past situations, these alien invaders seemed reluctant to personally attack them. Since they couldn’t do it themselves, they would incite internal strife!

Everyone present immediately checked their watches to see the situation on the world channel.

But the world channel wouldn’t open.

No matter how many times they clicked on the world channel, the chat page just wouldn’t load.

”Damn, is the world channel banned?” Zhao Xiaochuan cursed, ”What’s going on? Cutting off our communication, do they really want other regions’ survivors to besiege us!”

”But...” Qin Yunlong was somewhat puzzled, ”How are survivors from such distant regions supposed to besiege us?”

”Teleportation, perhaps?” Wang Lei glanced at the purple-black light beam arching in the sky and speculated.

”Teleportation? Bringing those people here to their deaths?” Wen Guixin rolled her eyes, ”Aren’t they just ordinary humans? Bringing them here would be less of a threat than an extra beast.”

”No.” Ji Chaoyang shook his head, ”You shouldn’t underestimate humans. After all, humanity’s strongest attribute isn’t physical strength; it’s...”

”Ingenuity.” Xu Xin continued, frowning.

”What do you mean?” Zeng Tao looked at them in confusion, ”What use is their intelligence compared to beasts?”

Xu Xin couldn’t say for sure, but... survivors from other regions were bound to receive some assistance.

For example, distributing some strangely functional items from the points shop that their region 188 couldn’t access, or perhaps...

Making blood-patterned mutant creatures stop attacking them and instead... assist them.

The thought of Xu Xin surprised everyone.

”No way? Are you saying these survivors might become the commanders of blood-patterned creatures? Like those... furry freaks?” Wang Lei chuckled awkwardly, ”That sounds a bit absurd...”

”No, it’s possible.” Ji Chaoyang nodded, ”I’ve actually thought about this too. Besides, weren’t those furry freaks... humans themselves?”

The group fell silent.

At this moment, Zhao Xiaochuan exclaimed, ”Whoa, look! The alliance channel is still accessible, and it seems those in region 1 have been affected by us?”

What?

Everyone immediately turned to look at the alliance channel.

Sure enough, the alliance channel was in chaos.

Many survivors from region 1 were venting their frustrations there.

”Why did that voice just abruptly cut off?”

”Guys, what’s happening now? I’m so confused!”

”Why isn’t the world channel opening?”

”Not just the world channel, the points shop isn’t opening either!”

”It’s the same for us!” exclaimed a survivor from region 188, ”We’re just as confused!”

”Weren’t you talking about some Crystal City or whatever before? What exactly did you people from region 188 do? Why haven’t you explained anything yet!”

”Are we stuck on the side of region 188! Because we’re allies now!”

”Damn, what’s going on? Can someone from region 188 explain what the World Tree is? Are we supposed to besiege it or protect it? Is this the start of an internal war?”

”We don’t know either; the higher-ups among the explorers haven’t explained anything. I’m with Xu Xin’s group, and we only know what we’ve told you guys before. It seems our leaders have gone to explore Crystal City, so you’ll have to wait for their updates.”

”This is really...”

Xu Xin’s eyelid twitched slightly.

So, region 1 was also experiencing the same thing?

He initially thought of rushing back to find Shi Wanyun since, by now, her explosive mode should’ve passed, and she’d be in a weakened state, making it an opportune moment for questioning.

But now it seemed that, as a survivor of region 1, Shi Wanyun, like region 188, knew nothing about the current situation.

...But she had been up that huge tree on the other hemisphere, so she must know something.

Xu Xin squinted his eyes and said, ”Zeng Tao, Jin Yue, you two stay here to watch over this young World Tree. If anything happens, contact me immediately. The rest of us should hurry back to our respective treehouse territories to check on things!”

Even if other regions’ survivors didn’t know how to besiege them, a beast tide might still strike!

...In times like this, without Wenxi’s logistical support, things do feel a bit unsettling.

Wenxi is together with Yingying; they should be fine, right?
