Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 929: Chapter 537: Wen Guixin Takes Action, the Beasts Switch Sides!

On the map, the location originally represented by the green dot for Xu Ying was now densely populated with red dots.

That location was initially only about a hundred meters away from the outermost circle of the mutant creatures’ encirclement. Once discovered, it would naturally be attacked within seconds.

And when Xu Xin tried to re-initiate a voice call, it was already in a disconnected state.

It’s not that the other side didn’t answer; it was directly unable to connect.

... Has she already returned underground? So soon?

Xu Xin was speechless for a long time.

His mind was a bit muddled now.

The voice call just now from Xu Ying confirmed some of his suspicions, but it also made his heart full of more questions.

Why... does Yingying know so much?

She knew that Xu Xin’s abilities included map access, even allowing her coordinates to disappear from the map.

She also knew things that Xu Xin was currently unaware of, and even knew that the current alien invaders couldn’t directly act against them. Judging by her situation, she also understood the reason behind this.

The first point alone left him very surprised.

How did Xu Ying know about his abilities, and could even affect his map detection?

This is too weird...

”Hey, Xu Xin?” Wen Guixin asked at this moment, ”Are you sure this is your sister? I feel like she knows a lot but doesn’t want to tell you anything.”

This was another point that made Xu Xin uncomfortable.

It was as if the truth was right in front of him, but the person who knew the truth just wouldn’t tell him.

And that person is his sister!

”Hmm... your sister, should be from a previous batch, or even a few batches of survivors, right?” Lou Fei’Er speculated, ”If she were from this batch of survivors, then we’d be at the forefront of survivors, she couldn’t possibly know more than us.”

... Thinking about it like that, it almost confirms, Yingying’s real age, is she really older than him?

The more he thought about it, the more absurd and strange it seemed.

However, now is not the time to consider this.

Xu Xin looked outside.

Outside Crystal City, countless beasts were now ready to move.

They were no longer as manic as before, having calmed down, only occasionally letting out suppressed low growls.

Having retreated a few dozen meters away from Crystal City, they were now approaching again.

Step by step, slowly moving closer.

As most of the affected mutant creatures in the city had already entered the crystal buildings, the city became empty again. Those controlling these mutant creatures were likely trying to probe once more.

”Dare to come in again?” Wen Guixin immediately looked outside, and quickly went out, ”Then I won’t be polite!”

”Oh, is it starting? The Empress’s power!” Lou Fei’Er was somewhat excited.

Jin Yue also watched Wen Guixin’s back.

”Wait a moment.” Xu Xin suddenly called out to her.

”Hmm? What now?”

”Since they want to come in again, let them come in.” Xu Xin looked at the approaching beasts and said.

”... You want to use Crystal City to capture another batch?” Wen Guixin understood Xu Xin’s idea. She looked at the mutant creatures in the surrounding buildings with a frown and said, ”I think we’d better not, for now. We should deal with these mutant creatures properly first. Just with these, we’re not sure we can manage. And... won’t a place with many animals stink? If they need to excrete, you’re not thinking of having us clean up after them, are you?”

She pointed at the large cat lying in the crystal buildings.

”Ah!” Lou Fei’Er also exclaimed, ”... This is indeed a problem! If these mutant creatures guard the edges of Crystal City and defecate freely, that would be terrible!”

”There’s no need to worry too much about that,” Jin Yue explained, ”Even ordinary wild animals won’t defecate where they live. Most will have designated spots, and felines even instinctively bury their waste, so there’s no need to worry excessively.”

Xu Xin also nodded, ”That’s right, and they all possess considerable intelligence, so they won’t be that foolish. Just communicate with them.”

Hmm... let’s have Mimi organize the leadership of these mutant creatures as soon as possible and teach these beasts, who are still in a chaotic state, properly.

Otherwise, if such a thing really happens, Xu Xin himself wouldn’t be able to stand it.

We can’t tolerate it every time we go out of the city...

”As for the matter of feeding, let them solve that themselves. Wild beasts living in the jungle surely know how to hunt,” Lou Fei’Er said.

”Hmm... that’s true, but... I’m just afraid this area can’t sustain so many suddenly appeared mutant creatures.” Wen Guixin shook her head.

Xu Xin suddenly thought of Li Yajun.

When he and Li Wenxi brought Li Yajun back, he seemed to remember that Li Yajun majored in animal husbandry in college?

Hmm... maybe she can help in this aspect.

There are also other survivors; among more than a hundred people, there should be some who understand this field.

However, Wen Guixin managed to convince him.

”Then let’s not let any other mutant creatures in for now. Let’s stabilize the ones we have before considering further steps.”
