Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 932: Chapter 538: Li Wenxi’s Ordeal

Outside Crystal City, the mutant creature horde was completely defeated in an instant.

The tide-like mutant creature horde was in total chaos.

To exterminate the mutant creatures around Crystal City more swiftly, Wen Guixin rode on an infected mutant creature and charged directly towards the other side of Crystal City.

She planned to spread the conflict around Crystal City.

”Hey, you...”

Xu Xin couldn’t stop Wen Guixin; she had already run far away.

He shook his head helplessly.

From his perspective, the mutant creatures around Crystal City already showed signs of retreating.

The events on their side had already influenced the entire mutant creature horde surrounding Crystal City.

On the map, the red dots around Crystal City were spreading outwards, as if they’ve decided to retreat and not attack.

By the time Wen Guixin reached the other side, perhaps the mutant creatures there would already be gone.

He sent a voice message to Wen Guixin to inform her of the situation, and her response was that she wanted to give it a try.

Let her try then; killing more mutant creatures would be beneficial for the safety surrounding Crystal City.

”Isn’t this a bit too powerful...” Lou Fei’Er blinked as she looked at the almost completely overrun beast horde, and the distant mutant creatures fleeing in panic, unable to close her mouth for a long time.

Jin Yue was also speechless with shock.

”Her ability is inherently strong against beast hordes,” Xu Xin looked outside.

Not being envious would be a lie.

After seeing such an ability firsthand, the shock it imprints on the mind lingers long.

No wonder Wang Lei and Zhao Xiaochuan were so impressed with Wen Guixin, anyone witnessing it would be internally shaken.

Lou Fei’Er displayed a look of admiration: ”Isn’t this ability unbeatable? It’s just too strong...”

”Unbeatable might be an overstatement, her ability does have its limitations,” Xu Xin said.

”...It has little effect on particularly strong individuals,” Jin Yue suddenly chimed in, ”Her ability works wonders on beast hordes, but if it’s a powerful giant beast...”

”That’s right,” Xu Xin nodded, ”If it’s a giant beast, her ability has no effect.”

Wen Guixin had said before, controlling a giant beast required at least ten minutes, possibly even several hours. Infecting the giant beast in the underground would take days.

It’s practically meaningless; forget ten minutes, even touching a giant beast with your body for a minute would be difficult.

”That’s true, seeing it that way, it’s not that strong,” Lou Fei’Er felt slightly more balanced.

However, if a giant beast came with a beast horde...

Perhaps it would be effective?

First infect the beast horde, then let the infected beast horde attack the giant beast, subjecting it to prolonged infection. Perhaps eventually, it could indeed infect a giant beast.

Xu Xin shook his head; Wen Guixin was likely more familiar with this aspect, there’s no need for him to think about it.

He looked again outside Crystal City.

Outside Crystal City, those infected mutant creatures had reached the end of their lives.

The toxins were irreversible, and these mutant creatures had no chance of survival.

One by one, they collapsed to the ground, howling as the light in their fur dimmed, their robust forms atrophying, and their cries grew weaker.

Just like when the infection spread, the fallen mutant creatures collapsed from the inside out, like dominoes, toppling over in rows.

”They... died so quickly?” Lou Fei’Er’s eyes widened.

About ten minutes or so.

Indeed very fast.

The first batch of infected mutant creatures had already lost their beastly form, their fur nearly dried out and fallen off, their bodies emptied out, leaving skin wrapped around bones.

This appearance was more gruesome than mere skeletons.

In their current material shortage, these beast corpses couldn’t even be used as material sources, it was somewhat regrettable.

”What should we do with these corpses?” Jin Yue asked a rather practical question, ”We can’t just leave them here forever.”

”We... shouldn’t touch them, right?” Lou Fei’Er shook her head, ”I wouldn’t dare touch them, if infected by the toxins, I’d end up like them...”

Xu Xin nodded: ”Yes, let’s wait for Wen Guixin to say something, she’s handled this many times before.”

In his mind, the map appeared.

Wen Guixin was already on the other side of Crystal City, several hundred meters away.

The red dots had mostly dispersed, but instead of teleporting away, they scattered throughout the forest, making the entire jungle lively again.

They seemed to be biding their time, waiting for another chance to regroup and attack Crystal City.

It seemed that recently, it was no longer safe outside Crystal City.

He glanced again at the mutant creatures inside the crystal structures.

These fellows seemed all asleep, not even the commotion made them take a peek.
