Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 909: Chapter 530: Deceived Survivors from Other Regions

This World Tree will never let the surrounding treehouses die.

Not only will they not die, but it will also provide these treehouses with protection, even offering the option to transplant, giving them a chance to be relocated around the World Tree.

But there’s no way; other survivors don’t know about this, and now the world channel is disconnected, so he can’t inform other survivors about the current situation.

This mysterious voice wants this misunderstanding to continue.

”So, even if what you’re saying is true, those people from outside regions, they still seemingly can’t affect us, right?” Lou Fei’Er proposed her thoughts, ”Even if they’re in distant other regions, and even if they can control blood-pattern creatures like you said, like those furry freaks, how does it affect us?”

”Unless... unless they can teleport here like you?” Lou Fei’Er pointed at her lips with her finger, then shook her head, ”But that doesn’t make sense either...”

Xu Xin was also puzzled about this.

From what Shi Wanyun described, those people shouldn’t be teleporting here.

The mysterious voice also mentioned that survivors from the closer 188-zone could directly seek refuge with the World Tree.

That means, according to their statement, even if all the treehouses wither, other survivors can still survive relying on the World Tree.

Not to mention if that’s true; but since they’ve said so, if other region’s survivors are sent here...

Who would do their bidding!

Most people would jump at the chance and directly run here to join them as explorers.

It’s practically charity.

So, other region’s survivors shouldn’t be teleported here like Shi Wanyun.

This is somewhat different from what he envisioned. He initially thought perhaps other region’s survivors would be sent here, threatened, then control beast tides like the furry freaks to attack them.

But now it seems... it’s not the case.

How do they plan to deal with this side?

To find this out, he must first understand what they’re selling in their points marketplace.

Of course...

The premise of all this is that Shi Wanyun is telling the truth.

He looked at Shi Wanyun.

”I’m not sure either; I’ve thought about this too but couldn’t come up with anything conclusive.” Shi Wanyun shook her head.

She had regained her usual demeanor, no longer rubbing her belly but sitting by the bed.

She looked at Xu Xin, ”That’s all I know. As for what’s in their points marketplace, I’m not sure either, because my points marketplace is closed. If you don’t believe me, you can look for yourself.”

She took off her wristwatch.

Xu Xin promptly took it, opening it with a swipe.

Sure enough, there was no points marketplace option either; it couldn’t be opened.

Xu Xin swiped a few more times, not seeing any special option in her settings.

Shi Wanyun didn’t stop him, only watched silently.

”What’s your special ability?”

”...I can’t say. But if you can give me Gene Potion, I can tell you everything you want to know.”

”Heh.”

Finding nothing unusual, Xu Xin didn’t return the watch to Shi Wanyun but instead stored it in his wristband.

The wristband is safer than a backpack.

”You...” Shi Wanyun’s eyelashes trembled slightly.

”To prevent you from escaping, I’ll keep the watch here first.” Xu Xin glanced at the ground, where the blood patterns had disappeared, ”When I truly trust you and give you the Gene Potion as you wish, I’ll return it.”

”...I shouldn’t have given you the watch.” Shi Wanyun was reluctant but had no choice either.

Without the watch, she lost the ability to contact others anytime and anywhere. If she doesn’t return to her treehouse, she could only communicate face to face.

But if she goes back to her treehouse, the watch might not be recoverable, and Xu Xin could use her watch anytime to check her communication or even impersonate her in interactions.

”Even if you didn’t give it to me, I intended to confiscate your communication tools.” Xu Xin smiled, ”So, are you sure everything you said is the truth and won’t change?”

”I’m sure.” Shi Wanyun, somewhat annoyed, looked at him, with no outlet for her anger.

She was indeed firmly bound, from every aspect.

This greatly deviated from her previous plan.

However, if Xu Xin can truly survive this ordeal...

Shi Wanyun looked at the thoughtful man before her.

Could this man really save everyone?

Just then, a sound reached her ears, a voice only she among those present could hear.

It was instructions from the mysterious voice to her.

Her expression unchanged, she slightly lowered her eyelids.

How should she choose?

...

After questioning Shi Wanyun further without getting any concrete answers, Xu Xin let Shi Wanyun destroy the Teleportation Array Pattern on the treehouse floor in his presence and then left Mimi behind.

”Keep an eye on this woman, don’t let her leave.”

This wasn’t Mimi’s first time helping him with such tasks, so it was very skillful, lying by the bed, yawning, feigning a sleepy look.
