Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 301: Chapter 257: The Brand New Boning Knife

”Where’s Li Yajun? Have you settled her in?” Xu Xin asked, looking at the fully grown parasitic treehouse.

”Yes,” Li Wenxi nodded, ”she’s tidying up her room in the treehouse right now, by the way.”

Li Wenxi took out Li Yajun’s core from her backpack, ”This is for you! Yajun agreed too, especially since you were the one who led us all the way today.”

”For me? Don’t you need it?” Xu Xin was a bit surprised.

”My furnace can handle purple-level materials too, and didn’t you say when you came back that you wanted to make a purple-level boning knife?” Li Wenxi stuffed the core into Xu Xin’s hand, looked up at him, and smiled, ”Then use this, it’s just right to make one! Oh, and remember to give it back to me after you’re done, I still need to recharge it!”

Well, to make a purple-level boning knife, you indeed need a core. Currently, it seems boning knives can only be made with stone, not metal, so to make a purple-level boning knife, you need a piece of purple-level stone.

Li Wenxi couldn’t use the furnace to refine a purple-level stone.

”Alright, I’ll use it here.” Xu Xin immediately took out a blue-level stone from his backpack; he had obtained quite a lot from the lakebed in the cave.

[Use the core of the short treehouse to upgrade the stone (blue) to stone (purple)?]

Xu Xin immediately chose yes.

The light from the core immediately enveloped the blue stone in his hand. Then, the blue gradually faded, and the purple slowly appeared. The core of the treehouse in his hand also lost its luster and became dim.

”Is it done?” Li Wenxi blinked, not having seen anything clearly. She couldn’t see the color change, and it seemed to her that the stone in Xu Xin’s hand only brightened slightly without any real change.

”Yes, it’s now a purple-level stone.” Xu Xin put the stone away and handed the dim core back to Li Wenxi.

Li Wenxi examined the core before putting it away.

”And there’s this!” Li Wenxi handed Xu Xin a heavy green-level backpack, ”These materials are enough to make two sets of coordinates. I just prepared them, perfect for Ji Chaoyang and Sister Xuefei, one each!”

Xu Xin opened the backpack and glanced inside, where he was greeted by an overwhelming blue glow.

Dozens of blue-level resources, directly given to him!

She’s truly a rich lady; he didn’t need to worry about the materials at all!

”So many...” Xu Xin didn’t even know what to say.

”Hehe, I stocked up some more metal ore near your Hilly Resource Zone,” Li Wenxi smiled, ”I told you a long time ago, ask and there will be enough!”

...Having a rich lady sponsor you feels pretty great.

”Alright, since everything’s ready, let me try this teleportation, but...” Li Wenxi’s eyes focused on the coordinates behind Xu Xin, which had returned to normal, then looked at Xu Xin, who also seemed to have returned to normal, and asked, ”Are there side effects to this teleportation?”

Xu Xin explained the usage method of the teleportation array and its side effects to Li Wenxi.

Li Wenxi was listening seriously, nodding occasionally, but when she heard about the side effects, her eyes suddenly lit up!

”Bungee jumping! Bungee jumping! I’ve never tried it, let me give it a shot!” She was even a bit eager, taking two steps to the coordinates and carefully examining the metal pillar marked ”Xu Xin’s Treehouse,” ”We’ve been to places with bungee jumps before, but my parents wouldn’t let me try...”

On the mention of her parents, her voice grew softer.

She thought of things from the original world, and suddenly felt a bit nostalgic. Not knowing how her family was doing...

But then she calmed herself and was excited again, ”Now I can finally try bungee jumping!”

Xu Xin: ”...”

Oh man, he thought she would be deterred, but she got more excited instead.

Li Wenxi held the pass in one hand, and just as she was about to touch the metal pillar with the other, she hesitated and turned to ask Xu Xin, ”Can I touch it?”

Looks like she was still a tiny bit scared.

”No problem, keep hold of the pass,” Xu Xin reminded her.

”Okay!” Li Wenxi immediately touched the metal pillar, and violet-black energy gathered.

”Here it comes... ah!” Violet-black energy instantly formed a vortex in front of the coordinates, and before Li Wenxi’s exclamation had ended, she was sucked in and disappeared instantly.

Previously, Xu Xin would take a few steps back every time; this time Li Wenxi didn’t, and was directly sucked in.

Xu Xin shook his head. There’d be no worry on that side, anyway, since there was the plant heart, and with Afu and her majesty outside, no need to worry about safety there at all.

”Whine?” Keke ran over at this moment, stood by Xu Xin, and tilted her little head at the vortex.

The Silver King, who had been resting not far away, also came over, having rested enough.

Xu Xin looked at them and suddenly thought of a question.

Do Keke and the Silver King need a pass as well?

”This...” Xu Xin looked at Keke, showing a slightly odd expression.

The Silver King was fine; a necklace would work, but Keke...

The pass was even longer than its head. How could it carry it?

Anyway, they both needed one, so Xu Xin instantly made two teleportation passes, then went near the creek by Li Wenxi’s treehouse, picked some reeds to make a rope, and hung the pass on the Silver King’s neck.
