Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 338: Chapter 274: New Mutation_2

Ma Hongwei reacted to Lou Fei’Er coming towards him.

Ma Hongwei raised his hand.

”Ah!” Lou Fei’Er saw his slow motion and tried to block with her hand, only to be pushed straight to the ground.

She quickly rolled and stood back up.

”What the...” She was a bit speechless, dusting off her clothes.

This guy had no intention of attacking her, he just thought she was in the way.

”His hand pushed me just now, it looked casual, but the strength was immense, I couldn’t move or block it,” Lou Fei’Er explained to Xu Xin.

Xu Xin nodded, he somewhat understood Ma Hongwei’s current state.

It seemed that he was continuously executing the idea before his autonomous mutation, which was to fight Xu Xin and defeat him so that he could survive.

Other than that, it seemed his head was empty, not paying attention to anything else.

... This explosive state, it seems, is a bit useless.

Shaking his head, Xu Xin decided to stop backing off and face him directly to test his current strength.

Ma Hongwei continued walking towards him step by step, and when he was about two meters away, he bent his knees slightly, then suddenly rushed at him, swinging a punch straight at his face.

Xu Xin immediately raised his arms like a boxer, blocking in front of his face.

”Bang!” The immense force crashed onto his arms, pushing him back one or two meters, followed by two more steps from him.

What great strength!

Ma Hongwei’s strength after mutation was much greater than his own!

Xu Xin felt his arms trembling slightly. Without the protection of his purple-grade Scale Armor, this punch might have crippled the hands of an ordinary survivor!

And Ma Hongwei’s movements had quickened, closing in rapidly, swinging another punch at him!

Knowing now that the opponent’s strength exceeded his own, Xu Xin naturally wouldn’t meet it head-on again. He twisted aside to dodge the punch, at the same time throwing a punch that landed with a ”bang” on Ma Hongwei’s blood-patterned face, then jumped back two meters.

He felt a faint pain in his fist.

How is his face so hard!

Ma Hongwei took Xu Xin’s probing punch without even a tremor in his head. Xu Xin felt as if he had punched a stone that remained unmoved.

Looking at his face, originally covered in blood patterns, Xu Xin couldn’t see any marks. Those red eyes were still locked onto Xu Xin.

With such great strength, a muscular build, and strong resistance to blows, Ma Hongwei’s explosive state had something to it.

”His explosive state seems a bit stronger than yours,” Xu Xin said to Lou Fei’Er, who was watching from the side.

”... Who said that, his speed is so slow, he can’t even touch me!” Lou Fei’Er immediately felt a bit dissatisfied, as she wanted to be the big sister to all the contracted survivors, ”It’s not even the same type of mutation, it can’t be compared!”

Indeed, Ma Hongwei’s mutated state, though faster than the average person, was still too slow in the eyes of Xu Xin and Lou Fei’Er.

But of course, his punch speed was still very fast.

It seems this mutation has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Lou Fei’Er’s mutation had fast speed and high attack power, but her build was too fragile. She was hit by Xu Xin’s punch, slammed against the wall, then fell to the ground and struggled to get back up.

Whereas Ma Hongwei, even with Xu Xin using half his strength to punch his face, didn’t move an inch, showing no signs on his face.

Such amazing defense!

Knowing the pill’s functions and flaws now, Xu Xin decided to take the initiative in the attack.

He quickly closed in, dodged a punch from Ma Hongwei, and delivered a full-force uppercut to his jaw!

”Bang!”

This time Ma Hongwei reacted, slightly raising his head.

”... This is too hard!” Xu Xin said helplessly, holding his fist.

Ma Hongwei didn’t seem affected, instead, his fist felt terrible pain.

At this moment, Ma Hongwei suddenly moved quickly, firmly grabbing his arm, about to slam him over the shoulder onto the ground!

”Damn!” Xu Xin instantly felt the world spinning.

”Bang!”

Xu Xin was heavily slammed onto the ground, feeling as if his whole body would fall apart.

”Yelp!” Keke cried out in shock nearby.

Then Ma Hongwei was about to stomp down on him; he hurriedly endured the feeling of his whole body almost falling apart, rolling to get back up from the ground.

”Use your weapon already! Why insist on fighting a monster in explosive state with your bare hands!” Lou Fei’Er couldn’t watch any longer.

Seeing Xu Xin being hit, as someone who had signed a contract with him, she almost couldn’t help herself from jumping in to help!

Mimi and Silver King, who were lying on the ground, also stood up, slowly approaching Ma Hongwei.

If Xu Xin were thrown again, they probably wouldn’t be able to obey Xu Xin’s order to stay put, and would directly launch a fierce attack on Ma Hongwei!

Ma Hongwei’s current state made them feel a strong threat.

Afu also flew up, emitting a sharp and piercing sound that made Ma Hongwei stop his steps.

On the map, Ma Hongwei’s red dot was brighter than an intermediate mutant creature’s, similar to when Lou Fei’Er mutated before.

”Overestimated...” Xu Xin twisted his shoulder, taking out his halberd, ”You guys stay back and watch.”

He could barely fight Ma Hongwei in this state with bare hands.

Back then, Lou Fei’Er was punched against the wall by him because the cramped parasitic treehouse left no room for her speed. Her strong attack didn’t hit him, making it easier for him to counter, leading to her instant defeat.

It’s like putting an assassin in a ring fight with a warrior, which is unfavorable for the assassin.

But Ma Hongwei was different, he was like a tank combining both defense and offense, and close combat was the most advantageous for him, while Xu Xin wasn’t some boxing champion or combat master, so bare-handed he wasn’t a match for this mutated monster before him.

In a blink, Ma Hongwei pounced at him again!

Xu Xin quickly retreated to widen the distance, swinging his halberd to leave a long gash on Ma Hongwei’s body.

Though his fists were ineffective, the halberd was a purple-grade weapon, so how couldn’t it pierce through normal flesh?

Ma Hongwei only had a blue-grade leather armor on him, which was nothing against his halberd.

Ma Hongwei let out a roar, eyes wide open, rushing at him once more.

Xu Xin used the same tactics, dodging, swinging the halberd, leaving mark after mark on him.

Of course, he couldn’t use deadly force; he wasn’t trying to kill him, but wanted him to submit and then contract him.

”This guy is at it again...” Lou Fei’Er subconsciously touched where she had been scratched before.

”Yelp! Yelp!” Keke waved its little claws, cheering on Xu Xin.

Soon, Xu Xin had left over a dozen marks on him.

Ma Hongwei was covered in scales and wounds, bleeding all over, his originally heavy steps turning unsteady.

Meanwhile, with a surge of vigorous life force flowing from the halberd into him, Xu Xin’s movements became increasingly rapid and powerful.

Finally, with the weakening of Ma Hongwei, he staggered and fell to the ground, supporting himself with both hands, gasping for air, unable to get back up.
