Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 341: Chapter 276: Affinity Amplification, Terrifying Beyond Measure!

Xu Xin first took the already asleep Keke back to the treehouse and placed him on the sofa.

Keke murmured softly and turned over, his big tail hanging off the edge of the sofa. Xu Xin patted his little head and turned to leave the treehouse.

After careful consideration, he decided to plant Ma Hongwei’s treehouse outside the range that the plant heart could guard.

The area inside the plant heart would serve as his personal territory, and it wouldn’t have these parasitic treehouses belonging to other survivors planted there.

Now Lou Fei’Er lived here because her treehouse hadn’t been transplanted over yet. Once things were settled over in area 187 and she didn’t need to contact them for information, her treehouse wouldn’t be transplanted within a hundred meters of his main treehouse.

Xu Xin ultimately chose to plant Ma Hongwei’s parasitic treehouse about three hundred meters away from the main treehouse.

He needed to start expanding outward slowly. His safe zone couldn’t just be within this one-hundred-meter radius.

Of course, he would still keep away from that lake; best not to provoke the Lake Giant Python.

The lake was to the northwest of the treehouse, so Xu Xin chose to plant the seed to the south.

With Ma Hongwei’s abilities, each parasitic treehouse would become a highly fortified stronghold; at least for those lower-level mutated beasts he had encountered so far, Ma Hongwei’s treehouses could easily handle them. Intermediate mutated creatures were also not much of an issue; he had once pierced that Blood-striped Marlin directly with a heavy crossbow.

The area around the treehouse would become a forbidden zone for beasts and mutated creatures!

He picked a suitable spot, cleared away the surrounding trees to open up a piece of land, and then planted the unremarkable treehouse seed into the soil.

The seedling of the treehouse broke through the ground and began to grow wildly.

A parasitic treehouse generally only needed five minutes to fully grow.

At this time, Xu Xin heard footsteps coming from behind him.

It should be Lou Fei’Er coming out from the Red Mist room to find him.

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before Lou Fei’Er came over, examining the treehouse as she asked, ”Why did you plant it so far? Isn’t there still a big piece of empty land over there?”

”What are you doing here?” Xu Xin turned his head to look at her.

”I came to see my little brother’s treehouse, of course.” The blood-striped marks on Lou Fei’Er’s face hadn’t completely faded, leaving faint traces. ”It’s my first time seeing a blue-level parasitic treehouse.”

”Can the Red Mist reduce side effects?”

”Yes.” Lou Fei’Er nodded, seeming unusually excited. ”As soon as I inhaled the Red Mist, the discomfort lessened. After staying inside for just a few seconds, I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all! But... I was afraid of seeing strange things like last time, so I came out first. Your contracted beasts are still inside.”

The Red Mist really could reduce the side effects of teleportation.

So perhaps setting up a Red Mist room near every teleportation gate for Mimi Silver King and the others to use?

If there were unforeseen circumstances and teleportation took five to ten minutes to recover each time, teleportation would be rendered useless for them.

”Wait a minute, doesn’t this mean that Ma Hongwei just arrived and already has better living conditions than I do?” Lou Fei’Er suddenly thought of a very ”serious” issue, one that threatened her position as the boss.

She pointed at the treehouse, now almost fully formed, and said, ”I’m still living in a low treehouse, and he gets to live in a three-story blue-level treehouse! I don’t accept this; I was here first. I demand a change of treehouse! I want to live in this one, let him move to the one inside!”

”What are you thinking? This was originally his treehouse, so of course he should live in it.” Xu Xin frowned, giving her a glance.

”Then let me move back to my treehouse!” Lou Fei’Er was dissatisfied. ”Why does Ma Hongwei get better living conditions than I do? He only came back here because of me!”

”When your treehouse is transplanted over, you can move back to it. For now, stay in that treehouse.” Xu Xin continued to watch the growing treehouse, responding.

”I don’t care, I want better living conditions than Ma Hongwei!” Lou Fei’Er was still unhappy. ”Let him live in my current treehouse, and when my treehouse is transplanted over, we can switch back.”

”That’s too troublesome, stop making a fuss.” Xu Xin looked at Lou Fei’Er again, his patience wearing thin.

Is she acting like his girlfriend? Making a fuss with him for no reason.

”I’m not making a fuss, I’m serious. I think my proposal is feasible; let him live in my current treehouse. It’s decided!” Lou Fei’Er leaned in toward Xu Xin and said.

This girl...

”... Ever since you got closer with Wenxi, have you been getting more and more brazen with me?” Xu Xin turned his head, squinting at her. ”Have you forgotten that I’m the one in charge?”

Does she really think he won’t get angry?

Lou Fei’Er was about to say something, but seeing Xu Xin’s expression, she suddenly felt a chill.

She knew what Xu Xin’s expression meant, and she immediately stepped back a few steps: ”What... what do you want to do?”

Recalling what she had just said, she already began to regret it.

After bathing in the Red Mist, her mind became extremely excited, much different from usual, almost like being slightly intoxicated after drinking. Plus, there was something off about Xu Xin today, which is why she had said those things.
