Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 303: Chapter 258: Purple-Level Materials, Continuing to Set Coordinates (4400 words!)

Xu Xin felt somewhat excited.

It must be known that the treehouse core can only upgrade basic resources. This kind of material cut from a creature cannot be obtained through core upgrades; it can only be cut with a boning knife!

A piranha skin lay curled on the ground, emitting a purple glow.

There was only one piece, but Xu Xin was already very satisfied as he reached out to pick up the piranha skin.

[Mutant Piranha Skin (Purple): A type of animal hide, incredibly tough and 100% waterproof, making it an extremely high-grade material!]

Xu Xin had long known that the tough piranha skin was a type of animal hide; he had already obtained more than a dozen blue-grade fish skins.

Purple-grade animal hide, huh...

Animal hide has two uses: one is for crafting leather armor, the other is for crafting backpacks.

Xu Xin immediately decided to craft this piece of animal hide into a purple-grade backpack.

He didn’t really need another set of purple-grade armor, after all, there was simply no need to choose between the piranha skin and the Lake Giant Python’s scales in terms of strength.

But a purple-grade backpack was different. He currently had to carry two blue-grade backpacks at all times, sometimes even giving one to Silver King to carry, which really wasn’t enough, especially when encountering heavy items; with only a 10% weight reduction, it made little sense, and he still couldn’t carry the load.

He needed a more advanced backpack!

Xu Xin immediately went to the crafting station and clicked on backpack crafting.

The base success rate for a purple-grade backpack is 80%, and with the crafting room and a blue-grade comfy chair, the success rate easily reaches 100%.

A flash of white light, and the purple-grade backpack appeared in his hand.

[Exquisite Backpack (Purple): A backpack with 50 slots, the quantity of resources each slot can hold depends on the resource type, reducing resource weight to 2% of its original type]

Wow, 2%!

One-fiftieth! In other words, carrying fifty piranhas would only feel like carrying the weight of one piranha!

A blue-grade backpack reduces weight to one-tenth, but switching to a purple-grade one, his carrying capacity increased fivefold!

Moreover, the slots had increased, so he no longer needed several backpacks when going out.

Really nice!

The purple-grade backpack, perfect!

Xu Xin immediately transferred all the items from his original backpack, including his crossbow, steel halberd, spare resources, etc., into the purple-grade backpack and put it on his back.

As for the blue-grade backpack that had been with him for so long, he decided to leave it in the treehouse as storage!

He also gathered the dozen or so blue-grade fish skins, kept the fish meat from two piranhas as food for the next few days, and put the rest into the ice cellar.

Although it was cold outside now, the treehouse always had a fireplace burning.

The heat from this one fireplace could affect the entire treehouse, keeping the temperature inside around 25°C, even the furthest level had around 20°C.

So, putting the meat in the ice cellar for freezing was still necessary.

After handling this, Xu Xin went to the alchemy lab.

Now with the materials on hand, he wanted to make the other two coordinates.

Tonight, he would connect all four treehouses together.

Li Wenxi even gave him some extra materials, so there was an abundance of resources.

Refine the iron blocks into iron sand, refine the black gold blocks into black gold dust, and then craft the universal alchemy materials.

Very quickly, twenty-five sets of universal alchemy materials were completed.

The two coordinates required only twenty sets, but making a few extra wouldn’t hurt. Given his current success rate, he could already start producing alchemical potions!

Xu Xin immediately clicked on coordinate crafting.

With two loud noises, two coordinates were successfully made, and two heavy metal discs were stacked in the alchemy lab. The success rate of the coordinates remained at 88%, and with the luck boost from the koi fish, the chances of failure were very slim.

Xu Xin immediately initiated a trade with Ji Chaoyang and Qi Xuefei, handing over the two coordinates, while also opening the [Explorer].

Qin Yunlong and Wen Guixin had cleared almost everything around them.

With Wen Guixin, a powerhouse among them, they easily advanced, collecting what should be collected, killing what should be killed, and had already subdued three people, capturing five parasitic treehouses. After all, some outsiders who didn’t know better had been dealt with by Wen Guixin.

The only flaw was that they didn’t have mounts, so their efficiency was reduced. After a busy day, they had only subdued three people.

Wang Lei and Zhao Xiaochuan didn’t meet up with them and had to work on their own.

Xu Xin immediately said: ”I’ve already connected the coordinates with Li Wenxi and tested the teleportation; it’s completely feasible. Tonight, I can also connect Ji Chaoyang and Qi Xuefei. However, the rest of you will have to wait a bit longer.”

Ji Chaoyang: ”I have received them and have chosen the location. You can come over for debugging.”

Qi Xuefei: ”Is this disc really the coordinate? It’s quite different from what I imagined...”

Wang Lei: ”Huh? Coordinates can be traded? Isn’t that convenient?”

Xu Xin: ”I need to activate them in person, trading them to you would be useless.”

Wen Guixin: ”You actually need to be there yourself... Then we can’t enjoy the convenience of teleportation for now, it’s too tough. The distance between our treehouses and Qin Yunlong’s is still quite far.”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”I think I see the crooked tree hills you mentioned!”

Wen Guixin: ”You see them? Which direction are you in on the hills?”
