Chapter 643: Chapter 643: Battle Between Two Palaces, Fire in the Backyard

While Sikong Jing was observing and pondering, suddenly, the voice of the Golden Divine Dragon echoed from the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison.

”Master of Ten Thousand Beasts, this place is quite good. Do you want to comprehend my second meridian?”

In an instant, Sikong Jing’s whole body shook violently, and his eyes flashed with intense light.

The Golden Divine Dragon’s first meridian had been completed in the Ancient Dragon Seal Tower of the Eighth Branch of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace. Afterward, the Golden Divine Dragon left behind, in its claw print, the Divine Dragon Rhythm, which allowed individuals like the Seven Symbols Heavenly Dragon and Shen Qingye to practice cultivation.

At the same time, Sikong Jing had also transformed the Six Symbols Divine Dragon Sword Skill into a powerful Mid-level Universe Grade Martial Skill.

And now, the Golden Divine Dragon suddenly offered him the second meridian. Sikong Jing naturally did not hesitate to agree.

However, the Golden Divine Dragon continued, ”The second meridian will be a bit challenging for you at this moment. First, carefully feel the Dragon Soul Power around you and thoroughly experience each Demon Dragon’s battle before you begin.”

Upon hearing this, Sikong Jing nodded vigorously.

He sat down cross-legged, and the power of his Spirit Platform Sea of Consciousness swept out.

Instantly, a vast ancient Demon Dragon battlefield appeared, and it seemed he could see countless Demon Dragons fighting each other in his mind.

He seemed to see the meridians of all kinds of Demon Dragons and what they looked like when they fought using their magical abilities.

Of course, there were also various Demon Dragons in a frenzy after being enraged. At this moment, the various Demon Dragon Meridians that Sikong Jing had understood surged and evolved inside his body. New Demon Dragon Meridians were also growing...

The meridians within Sikong Jing’s body in the Dragon Soul Battlefield were like tree roots fertilized, constantly stretching outward.

...

While Sikong Jing was entering the state of cultivation, the War Soul Star Palace was still searching throughout the city for the murderer of Gong Bei Qiang.

Just then, Qiu Qifeng suddenly appeared riding a Demon Dragon...

”Hahaha, War Soul Star Palace, I heard that your Xingluo General Academy’s Gong Bei Qiang is dead, congratulations!”

Qiu Qifeng’s taunting words immediately ignited the fury and panic among the powerful beings of the War Soul Star Palace. The War Soul Star Palace Master roared at Qiu Qifeng, ”War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, did you kill Gong Bei Qiang?”

They had already suspected that the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace was behind this, and now with Qiu Qifeng’s appearance, it was as if he had walked right into their trap.

”How could we possibly have killed Gong Bei Qiang? We were just passing by and wanted to ask if there was anything we could help with,” Qiu Qifeng responded to the War Soul Star Palace’s roar without any concern, laughing heinously.

As he had said earlier, they were here to mock, to incite a war between the two palaces.

Only by doing so could they create an alibi for the time of Lian Zhiyu’s death!

As the taunts from Qiu Qifeng and other high-ranking members of the War Soul Sacred Dragon continued, the morale of the War Soul Star Palace exploded, and the two sides went straight into battle.

Boom boom boom...

The clash between the high ranks of the two subacademies erupted in the skies above the War Soul Imperial City.

Dragon roars and demon beast growls shook the Imperial Capital, and streaks of sword light and gun light flared like shooting stars, crazy and explosive.

”What the hell is all this?”

”A genius student from Xingluo General Academy was killed, and now the high ranks of the two major academies are at war—why all this chaos?”

At this moment, countless people of the War Soul Dynasty felt the terror of this great battle. Many were pale-faced, knowing the clash between the two subacademies could draw many bystanders into its violence.

Just one stray sword light could claim many lives.

...

At the Imperial Advisor Mansion, Gongyang Ren had returned from the Imperial Palace, and he too stood on the roof looking towards the distant battle in the sky.

”Grandfather, the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace and the War Soul Star Palace are actually fighting each other?” Gongyang Ying said, somewhat surprised.

”The two academies are mortal enemies, so it’s normal for them to fight,” Gongyang Ren responded with a smile, ”Perhaps, if War Soul Star Palace can’t find the murderer, they’ll suspect War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace of killing Gong Bei Qiang and the others.”

The murderer of Gong Bei Qiang was the Soul Eater Leader, but for now, no one else knew this.

And under Grandpa’s secret arrangements, the two hidden guards of the Imperial Advisor Mansion, along with the Starlight Warhorse and Vice Master Dou among others, were hiding somewhere in the Imperial Capital, a place no ordinary person could find.

Because no murderer could be found, a battle between the two academies was indirectly triggered.

For the Imperial Advisor Mansion, this was certainly good news.

Behind Grandpa Gongyang and his grandson, Aunt Mian curled her lips and said, ”It would be best if Lian Zhiyu also died in this battle; then our Imperial Advisor Mansion would have no worries at all...”

Upon hearing this, Gongyang Ren twitched the white whiskers at the corner of his mouth, fell silent, and thought, ’Is something so fortunate likely to happen?’

The fight between the two palaces continued, but soon after, it abruptly stopped; something had happened, and a group of experts from the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace suddenly turned their dragon heads and madly rushed back in the direction of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.

All of a sudden, Grandpa Gongyang and his grandson were stunned, and so was everyone in the Imperial Capital—what was happening?

”Hahaha...”

Just as everyone was puzzled, the people from War Soul Star Palace burst out laughing, and their palace master roared, ”Qiu Qifeng, you’re getting cocky, aren’t you? Your backyard is on fire, isn’t it?”

”Lian Zhiyu has also died, and good riddance!”

This sentence spread rapidly in every direction of the War Soul Imperial City, including clearly to the Imperial Advisor Mansion, as War Soul Star Palace intentionally let everyone know.

Gongyang Ren and Gongyang Ying simultaneously opened their mouths wide, suddenly looking back at Aunt Mian—it really turned out as she had said.

Lian Zhiyu had indeed died.

But it appeared she did not die in this clash between the high-levels of the two palaces but was killed within the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace. Who had the audacity to kill Lian Zhiyu in the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace?

”Aunt Mian, go check immediately what exactly happened,” Gongyang Ying suddenly called out.

The death of Lian Zhiyu avoided a major trouble, but Gongyang Ying still had a concern—could it have been the doing of the Soul Eater?

Had the Soul Eater decided to harm their Imperial Advisor Mansion by killing Lian Zhiyu under the guise of an Imperial Advisor Mansion guard?

If so, the trouble would be even greater!

After the shock, Imperial Advisor Gongyang Ren also thought of this, and his old face showed a look of concern.

Not daring to delay, Aunt Mian immediately dashed off to investigate.

An hour later, she reappeared at the Imperial Advisor Mansion, and amid the tense atmosphere of Grandpa Gongyang and his grandson, she excitedly said, ”Lian Zhiyu’s death has nothing to do with us; she was killed by Sikong Jing, a Disciple of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace.”

Clearly, Aunt Mian had found out...

Upon hearing this, Gongyang Ying widened her beautiful eyes and murmured in a low voice, ”Sikong Jing?”

She certainly knew that name; it had previously been mentioned in the War Soul Star Palace. The third prince of War Soul, Lu Ding, was killed by Sikong Jing when he was issuing a challenge to the Twelve States of Lower You in the Long Night Empire.

”Yes, Sikong Jing...”

”Due to the death of Gong Bei Qiang, the entire leadership of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, led by Qiu Qifeng, rushed out to mock Xingluo Palace, only to find their own backyard ablaze. Sikong Jing suddenly appeared in the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace and killed Lian Zhiyu and six others.”

”After receiving the news, Qiu Qifeng went mad and rushed back to the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.”

With each word from Aunt Mian, Gongyang Ying’s face grew increasingly excited.

She did not know why Sikong Jing would kill Lian Zhiyu, but he had indirectly solved a huge problem for her.

”Long Night’s genius, Sikong Jing, actually appeared in our War Soul Imperial City,” Gongyang Ren suddenly said in a grave tone.
