Berserk God of War

Chapter 635: Chapter 635: Act to Save, A Clean Break with One Stroke

”Sikong Jing, what exactly are you trying to do?” the instructor suppressed his trembling body and couldn’t help but ask.

Sikong Jing slightly lifted his eyelids, looked in the direction of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, and laughed, ”Take me to meet Lian Zhiyu. Let’s keep it a secret for now, so we don’t make things too difficult for your palace master.”

Of course, to cut down Lian Zhiyu, it was essential not to let the Palace Master of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace be present, otherwise, the killing wouldn’t be possible.

Even though the Palace Master of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace very much wanted Lian Zhiyu dead, it was impossible to let Sikong Jing do the killing; after all, the pressure from the Main Academy was far too great, and not everyone had the same bullish temperament as Shen Qingye.

Therefore, Sikong Jing needed an accurate guide.

The instructor, upon hearing this, looked bewildered, but feeling the threat in the small circle of meridians inside his body, he dared not ask further and agreed.

”Master Zhang, what’s wrong? Who is this person?”

Just then, a few students inside the gate finally noticed something was amiss and quickly ran out.

They looked at Sikong Jing warily.

The instructor under Sikong Jing’s control was surnamed Zhang. On hearing this, he twitched the corners of his mouth and replied, ”It’s nothing. He’s a relative from my family. I’m going to take him for a tour inside the palace. You all keep guarding the gate and report immediately if there’s any situation.”

Master Zhang could only say that, and the situation naturally involved being on guard in case the War Soul Star Palace couldn’t find the two thieves and decided to kill their way over.

After speaking, Master Zhang led Sikong Jing into the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.

The students naturally didn’t suspect anything.

After all, in their eyes, Master Zhang was a strong presence, and most importantly, Sikong Jing looked too young; subconsciously, they thought Sikong Jing couldn’t possibly threaten Master Zhang.

Inside the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.

Sikong Jing walked beside Master Zhang and said softly, ”The War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace is very different from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace. It seems to pay more attention to the Dragon Soul Power, the whole palace ground is like a Dragon Soul Battlefield.”

There were no mountains inside the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace; compared to the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, it more resembled a complex of palaces.

And Sikong Jing could easily sense the Dragon Soul aura wafting around him.

On hearing this, Master Zhang gave Sikong Jing a deep look and replied in a low voice, ”Yes, the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace is built on the Dragon Soul Battlefield. Legend has it that in ancient times, a great battle between demon dragons took place here.”

”Beneath it, lie buried the bodies of countless demon dragons.”

”And our War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, like the War Soul Harvest Army of the War Soul Dynasty, cultivates by sensing the Dragon Soul Power, but it’s not as sinister and evil as the War Soul Harvest Army; the Dragon Soul Power is, after all, present underground.”

As Master Zhang explained, Sikong Jing privately marveled at how well the subacademies chose their locations.

Long Night Seven Dragon Mountain was transformed from the body of the Six Symbols Heavenly Dragon, and this place was a demon dragon battlefield—all the palace sites were related to demon dragons.

The two of them chatted as they walked, and Master Zhang grew more and more shocked the more they talked.

Sikong Jing was all too familiar with various demon dragons and even had his unique insights into the Dragon Soul Power.

Is this what a Martial Arts prodigy is like, so terrifying?

Suddenly, Master Zhang stopped and then pointed down a path, ”Up ahead is Holy Dragon Town. Lian Zhiyu and the students from the Holy Dragon General Academy are in the clinic there.”

Sikong Jing was slightly startled and then laughed; he guessed that Lian Zhiyu was there to deal with her face that he had struck.

It was perfect, as Sikong Jing had been worried that Lian Zhiyu might be at the palace master’s house or somewhere similar.

And it was only then that he learned that there was also a Holy Dragon Town within the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.

”Sikong Jing, can you tell me what you need to find Lian Zhiyu for?” Master Zhang asked nervously.

During their casual conversation, he found that Sikong Jing’s personality wasn’t as bizarre and frightening as the rumors suggested, and he seemed quite easy to talk to, so he dared to ask at this moment.

At that question, Sikong Jing looked up and revealed a strange smile.

Just as he was about to answer, several students from the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace approached, one of them spoke bitterly, ”Lian Zhiyu is simply insane; clearly, the people who hit her were Gongyang Ying and her guards, yet she took her anger out on Senior Brother Qiu and the others.”

”Shh... keep it down, do you have a death wish?” a second student reminded sternly.

The one who had spoken spat out again bitterly, ”What am I afraid of? At worst, I’ll die, but I just can’t stand Lian Zhiyu, that woman. If she’s so capable, why doesn’t she challenge Miss Gongyang?”

”Exactly, with that pig-face of hers, even Senior Brother Qiu said to go to the Palace Master first to heal and apply medicine. She stubbornly refused, insisting on staying in the town; anyone who dares to give her a strange look gets whipped by her,” another student joined in, his tone full of indignation.

Another student spoke, his voice filled with discontent.

The first student continued, ”That’s why I say she’s a lunatic, just taking her frustrations out on us for fun.”

As their words fell, the students finally noticed Master Zhang and Sikong Jing, froze, and greeted, ”Master Zhang... Master Zhang...”

The students were a bit fearful, afraid that Master Zhang would punish them for what they had just said.

However, Master Zhang, who had more pressing concerns, nodded and was about to remind them not to swear any further... but before he could speak, suddenly, an aura from the Daoist Martial Second Realm emanated from the direction of Holy Dragon Town.

The next instant, a sinister and terrifying voice arose.

”Just now, did I overhear you speaking ill of Senior Sister Lian?”

No sooner had the words been spoken than a young man dressed as a student from the Holy Dragon General Academy appeared, coldly eyeing the group of students.

Their faces drastically paled, and one of them hurriedly replied, ”We were just...”

”Dare to argue? I heard very clearly, just now you were calling Senior Sister Lian a lunatic.”

”Hmph, I’m going to break each of your arms and tear your mouths apart,” the Holy Dragon General Academy student’s voice was chilling to the bone.

Suddenly, he noticed Master Zhang and threatened, ”If you dare to intervene, you won’t see tomorrow’s sun.”

As the voice echoed, he whirled towards the few students.

The latter, merely ordinary students of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, were no match for someone at the Daoist Martial Second Realm. Their faces twisted in terror, and one of them screamed, ”Master Zhang, save us!”

Master Zhang’s face turned incredibly grim, at a loss for what to do...

He truly wanted to save them, but feared that doing so would provoke the other’s wrath, which would make things very difficult for the Palace Master and others.

But if he didn’t save them, could he really just watch as these students were maimed?

Ultimately, Master Zhang helplessly closed his eyes, the overwhelming pressure from the General Academy defeating his desire to save them.

”The dreadful nature of the Holy Dragon General Academy is the same everywhere.”

Just as Master Zhang was bleeding inside, Sikong Jing’s cold voice reached his ears.

The very next instant, Master Zhang saw that a war saber had appeared in Sikong Jing’s hands, and immediately after, a Sword Radiance was unleashed.

With a splatter...

As the ordinary students panicked, the Sword Radiance passed through the charging student from the Holy Dragon General Academy. The latter’s body instantly froze mid-air, then turned back in disbelief.

He looked toward Master Zhang, still in shock, and then his gaze fell on the sword-wielding Sikong Jing, his eyes widened, ”You...”

Crash...

After uttering just that one word, ”you,” his body split in two and fell to the ground, blood spilling everywhere.

He was undoubtedly dead.
