Berserk God of War

Chapter 603: Chapter 603: Action, Sikong Jing’s Opinion

”It turns out to be illusions mixed with truth; this spy was intentionally released by Gongyang Ying,”

After glancing at the spy, Sikong Jing pondered and said, ”I’m afraid Gongyang Ying did not plan to attack at the beginning of the night, but rather had the Soul Stealers create panic first.”

Xia Dalian understood and nodded in response, then added, ”We’ve discovered that experts have started to secretly observe the stockade.”

Xia Dalian, also a master at using troops, deeply empathized with Sikong Jing’s speculation.

”Then let’s play along with Gongyang Ying’s arrangement. We’ll start by pretending to panic and flee,” Sikong Jing said with a slight smile before immediately ordering Xia Dalian’s fifty thousand troops to retreat into the mountain forest.

Upon hearing this, Xia Dalian promptly obeyed, beginning to assemble her fifty thousand troops for action.

At the same time, Sikong Jing gave another order: ”Send a message to Lian Guang and Sui Yu to clear the Soul Stealers’ bodies and then enter the mountain forest to reset the traps; we’ll use these Jianghu people for our drill.”

”Remember, your drill is not about killing, but capturing them all alive, which is a greater challenge.”

”If the operation is discovered, bring me your heads.”

Upon hearing these words, Xia Dalian and Ning Jingjing’s eyes flashed with excitement, recognizing the enormous difficulty of the task.

However, it seemed more thrilling; challenges fuel motivation!

Thus, upon receiving the order, Xia Dalian withdrew from the stockade and entered the mountain forest, where they deliberately set more traps amidst their feigned chaos, all while being watched by unknown eyes.

Sikong Jing then took Ning Jingjing, avoided some watchful eyes, left the stockade, and returned to Wuwang City.

It was still the Yingyue Building, and night had fallen.

Yan Qihuan’s voice could be heard inside: ”The Moon Soul Fairy is really clever; she instantly made the Soul Stealers panic. When the Soul Stealers realize we didn’t attack at the onset of night, they will probably be furious enough to spit blood.”

Zeng Yuanxi also burst out laughing, saying, ”What’s more important is that we saw them setting up what traps.”

The room was filled with excitement, and Yan Benxing’s injuries had almost healed after a day and night of treatment; he too laughed, ensuring he would certainly cut off the head of the Soul Stealer Boss, Shihun...

”Don’t rejoice too soon, everyone. I think the Soul Stealers are not so easily fooled; their traps are certainly plentiful.”

Just when everyone was flattering Gongyang Ying, a different voice rang out.

Instantly, the entire Yingyue Building quieted down.

Suddenly, a couple holding a small black dog walked in from outside; they were none other than the couple from the Night Wolf Tribe, and the good mood of Yan Qihuan and others vanished the moment they appeared.

Zeng Yuanxi twitched his mouth and exclaimed, ”Brother Sikong, are you actually boosting others’ morale and destroying your own prestige?”

Many people spoke up, feeling that Sikong Jing was intentionally proposing a different opinion in front of Gongyang Ying just to stand out.

However, before Sikong Jing could reply, Gongyang Ying stood up first and gently said, ”Brother Sikong is right. We have already deeply experienced the cunning of the Soul Stealers from earlier battles; we absolutely cannot be overconfident.”

She also felt that these Jianghu people were being too relaxed, having flattered her from the start.

Gongyang Ying had been eager to hear different opinions, but none had come until Sikong Jing’s arrival.

Snap...

Her words were like a slap, striking hard across everyone’s faces, with Yan Benxing’s face turning red with anger.

”Then, what does Brother Sikong suggest?” Yan Qihuan couldn’t help but growl softly.

Sitting down, Sikong Jing took a seat next to Gongyang Ying.

”One suggestion I do have is that we must organize another secret team. It will follow behind the main force, ready for unforeseen needs—to secretly observe and to open an escape route if problems are detected,” he said.

At that, a cold light flashed in Yan Qihuan’s eyes... I have a secret team too, but you don’t know about it.

At the same time, Gongyang Ying also looked at Sikong Jing in astonishment; she too had a secret team following behind — the Moon Soul Group.

However, in Gongyang Ying’s eyes, Sikong Jing had become even more formidable.

Adjusting her mindset, Gongyang Ying nodded and said, ”Brother Sikong makes sense. In that case, let’s organize another secret team of a thousand from the Daoist Martial Realm. Just as Brother Sikong suggested, they will follow behind and communicate with all parties as soon as there is any situation.”

The Moon Soul Group was her own, and if it could remain undisclosed, it was better not to expose it. Therefore, she decided to organize another team.

Since Gongyang Ying had spoken, everyone else could only agree.

Straightaway, the plan was finalized and they selected the personnel.

Meanwhile, everyone continued to wait for reports from the spies that had been dispatched, one message after another kept coming back...

The Soul Stealer had entered the mountain forest and laid some traps.

The Soul Stealer, upon realizing that the encircling army hadn’t made a move, cursed loudly.

The Soul Stealer sent people back to their stronghold.

Not all the Soul Stealers returned to their stronghold; instead, they continued to set traps in the mountain forest somewhat chaotically.

Furthermore, a spy had been caught, but since the captors couldn’t extract any information, things became even more chaotic!

Suddenly, Gongyang Ying stood up and declared loudly, ”We start the motion now. At the darkest moment before dawn, we will thrust into the thickest group of Soul Stealers. We kill as many as we can.”

Upon this command, all the Jianghu people set out, a mighty gathering of three hundred thousand, both strong and weak.

They marched mightily toward Luohun Road.

Then they split into two groups: one of one hundred thousand headed straight for the den of the Soul Stealers, led by Yan Benxing and Sikong Jing.

Just as previously discussed, a talent like Sikong Jing shouldn’t be wasted on the encirclement. Familiar with the terrain of the Soul Penetration Mountain, he was the right person to find and attack the den of the Soul Stealers.

”Brother Sikong, be careful.”

Just as Sikong Jing was about to depart, Gongyang Ying spoke gravely, her eyes conveying a deeper meaning.

Sikong Jing smiled and clasped his fists, ”Miss Gongyang as well, see you later.”

Having said that, he merged into this hundred-thousand-strong force amid Yan Benxing’s fiery glares.

They entered the Soul Penetration Mountain through a small mountain path. Along the way, Sikong Jing looked at Yan Benxing and asked, ”Hero Yan, for the common folk of Wang Hun State, you wouldn’t hold personal grudges against me, would you?”

Yan Benxing forced a smile and chuckled, ”Of course not, I’m not that petty.”

However, in his heart, he sneered repeatedly. My forces from Huanteng Mountain Villa are already hidden within this team. Just wait for your doom.

Once we find the den of the Soul Stealers, your end will come.

I, Yan Benxing, am indeed that petty. Anyone who dares compete with me for Gongyang Ying deserves death.

At the same time, a secret team of five hundred men also followed shortly after they set off, just as Sikong Jing had previously proposed — to send a team from the thousand-strong Daoist Martial Realm to follow behind, just in case.

And thus the thousand Daoist Martial Team was naturally split into two.

Five hundred followed Sikong Jing and Yan Benxing, while the rest followed Yan Qihuan and Gongyang Ying.

Right after this secret team caught up, another team of a hundred also followed. They were indeed the Moon Soul Group.

This was Gongyang Ying’s way of either monitoring or protecting Sikong Jing, all from the Daoist Martial Realm, but each skilled in elusive movement techniques, undoubtedly adept in assassinations.

This meant that in the team seeking the den of the Soul Stealers, there were effectively three groups, both openly and secretly.

If it had been the real Soul Stealers, they might have been thoroughly overwhelmed, but Sikong Jing, entrenched among them, was as clear-minded as ever.
