Berserk God of War

Chapter 616: Chapter 616: Really Too Bad

”I promise you, I’ll write to my grandfather right now and have the medicine you want sent over.”

Gongyang Ying’s voice seemed weak, her proud heart was utterly shattered.

If she allowed the Soul Stealer to attack the Youyuan Twelve States, if she let the Long Night Empire seize the Youyuan Twelve States, she would be condemned for eternity.

However, Sikong Jing just laughed and said, ”Is that the matter? I’ve changed my mind, I no longer desire that medicine. Now, I just want to kill Lu Lungan... you know, I have a feud with Lu Lungan.”

As a general under Lu Lungan, the Soul Eater Leader’s words made perfect sense.

Then, Sikong Jing ordered with renewed vigor, ”Hear the command, abandon the city and set out.”

Gongyang Ying’s mouth fell open, and the next instant, she suddenly rushed towards Sikong Jing.

Her Daoist Martial Fifth Realm True Qi burst forth violently, her peerless grace materializing into a horrifying sword light.

A fierce light flashed in Gongyang Ying’s eyes as she shouted, ”If that’s the case, then I will take you as a hostage!”

Seizing the moment while this damnable Soul Eater was smug, she would capture him with absolute martial force and use him as a hostage, and the Soul Stealer’s scheme would fall apart.

Boom!

However, as the sword light emerged, Sikong Jing’s stick shadow thundered out, colliding fiercely with the sword light.

At this moment, Sikong Jing, still in the Daoist Martial Fourth Realm, had forced Gongyang Ying back.

Thus Gongyang Ying’s hostage plan failed utterly.

The sound of clashing steel...

Ning Jingjing and the others immediately surrounded Gongyang Ying.

Each one looked fiercely determined, their weapons charged with True Qi pointing towards the lonely and helpless Gongyang Ying.

And Gongyang Ying was utterly despondent, her face revealing a look of bleak despair... the Soul Eater was stronger than she had imagined.

The next moment, Sikong Jing suddenly said, ”All of you, back off.”

”Boss, what do you mean?” asked a leader of the New Thieves, puzzled.

Sikong Jing, holding his iron stick, walked forward, and only after the crowd parted did he respond, ”I’ve always wanted to fight the peerless genius Gongyang Ying, and now, I’m suddenly in the mood.”

Everyone was stunned; the Soul Eater Leader actually wanted to duel Gongyang Ying at this critical moment?

And he was only in the Daoist Martial Fourth Realm, could he really defeat the Moon Soul Fairy?

”Do you think I can’t win? Ha ha, how will I know without trying?” Sikong Jing laughed heartily, then pointed at Gongyang Ying, adding, ”Defeat me, and I’ll agree to let you send the letter back to the War Soul Imperial City.”

At these words, Gongyang Ying’s eyes showed a cold light as she gripped her sword and said, ”Are you serious about this?”

”Of course, it’s true...”

”Defeat me, and I’ll grudgingly allow your grandfather, the Great Imperial Advisor, to send me the medicine and also refrain from attacking the Youyuan Twelve States.”

Her mouth agape, his words sounded very odd to her.

But soon Gongyang Ying had an epiphany: the situation had entirely reversed.

Before, the Soul Eater Boss needed something from her, but now she needed something from him, fearful he would backstab Lu Lungan. Now, by offering him the medicine, it seemed as though she was pleading with him.

Thinking of this, Gongyang Ying trembled with rage. How could someone be so utterly despicable?

”I, I will kill you...”

Gongyang Ying fumed, crazily lunging at Sikong Jing with her sword, which was extraordinarily exquisite, as if carrying a sky full of rainbow light, but filled with a soaring murderous intent that made everyone around them retreat continuously.

”Well done, Iron Bone Flying Scepter,” Sikong Jing laughed heartily as the stick shadow boomed out.

The moment Gongyang Ying made her move, Sikong Jing knew she was the strongest peer he had ever encountered and also the strongest in the Daoist Martial Realm. She was deservedly ranked No. 31 on the East Plain Thousand Tyrant List.

Boom, boom, boom...

The brilliant rainbow light clashed fiercely with Sikong Jing’s staff shadow, and the aftermath of True Qi blasted outwards.

One was domineering and the other was light, yet both sides were brimming with killing intent.

At that moment, a new thief leader looked at Sui Yu and asked, ”Young Master Sui, why is the Boss only at the Daoist Martial Fourth Realm? Isn’t it rumored that he has reached the Extraordinary Second Realm?”

As soon as these words came out, Sui Yu’s heart gave a slight leap, the true Soul Eater Leader had indeed reached the Extraordinary Second Realm.

But, Brother Sikong was a fake Soul Eater, wasn’t he?

However, he quickly gathered his wits and chuckled, ”When you can’t determine his realm, what kind of realm do you think someone like the Boss, with such combat power, could possibly be?”

In an instant, all the mountain bandits around, who were harboring doubts, were stunned into silence.

Another new thief leader then exclaimed with admiration, ”Indeed, the fact that the Boss can fight Gongyang Ying to a stalemate, and Gongyang Ying has killed geniuses even in the Extraordinary Second and Third Realms, it’s only normal for the Boss to be mistaken as being in the Extraordinary Second Realm.”

The thieves had a sudden realization, indeed it made sense.

”Amazing, the Boss is truly incredible... He’s a whole realm below Gongyang Ying.”

The new thieves continued to express their admiration, praising without end.

Meanwhile, someone else asked, ”Young Master Sui, how old is the Boss? Can he make it into the top hundred of the Thousand Tyrant List just for fun?”

If a mountain bandit chief could make it into the top hundred of the East Plain Thousand Tyrant List, that would really be a slap in the face to so many people.

The thought was particularly thrilling.

Sui Yu shook his head and sighed repeatedly, ”He can’t make it, the Boss is overage.”

He was still bluffing; even though Sui Yu really wanted to boost Brother Sikong’s reputation, he had to restrain himself.

Within the War Soul Dynasty, a single misstep could lead to their total obliteration.

Afterward, the thieves stopped talking and focused on the battle of the prodigies, or to be more precise, one side was a prodigy and the other was a super genius. Since the Soul Eater Leader was not very young, he naturally couldn’t be considered a prodigy anymore.

On the other side, Gongyang Ying grew increasingly shocked as he fought and couldn’t help but yell out, ”Soul Eater, who exactly are you?”

Aside from the Wangyou Sect’s Young Sect Master, there had never been anyone lower in realm than himself who could fight him on equal footing.

The Soul Eater Leader was definitely not of humble origins, Gongyang didn’t believe it.

Sikong Jing sent a low staff whirling out and replied in a low voice, ”Everything the outside world says about me is true, take my... Tieshan Fist!”

Boom...

A fist roared out, as if his fist had turned into a massive boulder, slamming heavily into Gongyang Ying.

The latter was surprised by Sikong Jing’s change of moves but still managed to catch it with composure. After landing, he expressed his shock, ”A disciple of the Tieshan Sect.”

Two rumors circulated outside; that the Soul Eater Leader was a general under Lu Lungan’s command, and that he was a discarded disciple of the Tieshan Sect...

And the moment the Tieshan Fist was released, both rumors were proven to be true.

”No wonder...”

”However, being discarded and expelled by both places, it shows just how bad your character must be.”

Gongyang Ying cursed and charged again with his sword.

A discarded disciple of the Tieshan Sect, and also expelled from Lu Lungan’s military camp, the Soul Eater Leader had clearly done extreme misdeeds to end up this way.

The character of the Soul Eater was simply scum to the core.

And in fact, this was the case; the real Soul Eater was an evildoer who did all kinds of evil, but he had already died at the hands of Sikong Jing, which Gongyang Ying did not know.

Therefore, her impression of Sikong Jing naturally became even worse.

”I was always bad, do you even need to say it?” Sikong Jing laughed heartily, totally unconcerned about how others saw him.
