Berserk God of War

Chapter 633: Chapter 633: This Mountain Bandit, Too Cunning

”Soul Eater, you are just a guard, and all your actions must be directed by the young miss,”

Aunt Mian added before saying, ”Why do you still look unconvinced? Do you still want to clear your name or not?”

Seeing Sikong Jing silent and without a word, Aunt Mian thought he was resentful.

At that moment, Sikong Jing finally responded, ”In fact, what I wanted to talk about isn’t Holy Dragon Academy or Lian Zhiyu.”

”Hmm?”

Gongyang Ying was stunned and confused. Had she been talking all this time and he hadn’t been listening?

”Gong Bei Qiang was killed by me, I killed all the students from Xingluo General Academy,” Sikong Jing slowly revealed what he had just been thinking.

At these words, a cold wind howled throughout the room.

Gongyang Ying, Aunt Mian, and the senior sisters of the Moon Soul Group stared blankly, their gaze fixed on Sikong Jing.

After a while, Gongyang Ying, with a trembling voice, asked, ”Soul Eater, can you please not joke around?”

Sikong Jing said with a solemn face, ”I’m not joking. I was the one who killed them.”

Then, Sikong Jing recounted the events that transpired outside the stable, and as he described how Gong Bei Qiang was stabbed to death, Gongyang Ying felt a chilling coldness rolling out and her complexion turned pale to the extreme.

”Soul Eater, have you lost your mind? How could you kill... people from Xingluo General Academy?”

Aunt Mian couldn’t help but raise her voice, but then she quickly lowered it, trembling violently for fear of being overheard.

”Hmm, they said they wanted to take the young miss to be a concubine, shouldn’t they be killed?” Sikong Jing asked, blinking.

This... this...

Of course, they deserved to be killed, at least that’s what Aunt Mian thought, but this was much more terrifying than merely offending Holy Dragon General Academy before.

Soul Eater, this bastard, didn’t leave a single one alive.

Gongyang Ying was too lazy to argue with Sikong Jing and quickly asked, ”Why doesn’t War Soul Star Palace know it was you who killed them?”

This was the most pressing issue at the moment; how were they going to keep this a secret?

With a strange expression, Sikong Jing said, ”I don’t know why two Hidden Guards from the Imperial Advisor Mansion appeared out of nowhere beside me. It must have been them who dealt with the aftermath, and then they took the Starlight Warhorses and ran away.”

Of course, Sikong Jing was very clear about the matter, but he was pretending to be ignorant at the moment.

Gongyang Ying and the others looked at each other, knowing full well why there would be her grandfather’s Hidden Guards behind Sikong Jing. At present, the most terrifying thing was that they absolutely could not let anyone from War Soul Star Palace discover this.

That is to say, the two Hidden Guards absolutely must not be tracked down.

”Quick, we need to hurry back to the mansion, we can’t delay any longer,” Gongyang Ying called out repeatedly.

She believed the Hidden Guards would not return to the mansion while being pursued, so now they had to go back first to inform her grandfather about the matter and figure out a solution.

Aunt Mian and the others didn’t dare to delay, and each one mounted the carriage and the Unihorn Thousand-step Horses.

And just as Sikong Jing also mounted a Unihorn Thousand-step Horse, Gongyang Ying suddenly shouted, ”Soul eater, get the hell away from me.”

Sikong Jing was stunned and innocently asked, ”Why?”

”You still have the nerve to ask why? Killing students from Xingluo General Academy, violently thrashing those from Holy Dragon General Academy... Are you trying to get me killed on purpose? You are beyond redemption. Get lost this instant,” Gongyang Ying’s voice nearly squeezed through her teeth before saying, ”I hate you, and I never want to see you again.”

After speaking, she turned to look at Aunt Mian and said, ”Kick this scoundrel off...”

Without a word, Aunt Mian kicked Sikong Jing off the horse, and then the carriage sped away toward the direction of the Imperial Advisor Mansion.

Gongyang Ying’s mind was in chaos, and there was only one thought in her mind...

Soul Eater is probably here to harm Grandfather.

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing stood in place, watching as the Unihorn Thousand-step Horse carriage grew further and further away, with a faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

The next second, his expression darkened as he muttered to himself, ”At last, I’ve shaken off the surveillance and Gongyang Ying. Now, I must expose the name Sikong Jing to draw out Mo Ci... But how should I expose it?”

It’s very simple to lure out Mo Ci, just let the name spread out.

However, if it’s just a minor incident, the spread will be too slow.

Yet, provoking a major incident could easily be captured by the Overlord Commerce, thereby raising my ranking on the East Plain Thousand Dominator List...

After a long contemplation, Sikong Jing said fiercely, ”Gongyang Ying, since you dislike trouble so much, I will now help you by killing Lian Zhiyu first, assassinating him with my true identity.”

Having said that, Sikong Jing’s figure flashed, and he disappeared in front of the War Soul Star Palace’s gate.

98th on the East Plain Thousand Dominator List, too close to three digits and easily noticed by his sister, but it’s too difficult to drop the ranking. Thus, he decided to do the opposite, raising his ranking just a bit higher.

Being around seventieth or eightieth would be relatively more concealed.

Or at least, less noticeable than being ranked at 98, and Lian Zhiyu’s ranking was 86, just right.

...

While Sikong Jing headed to the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, Gongyang Ying hurried back to the Imperial Advisor Mansion.

At this time, Gongyang Ren had already received a message from the two Hidden Guards. Seeing Gongyang Ying rush back, he said directly, ”Ying’er, there’s no need to worry. The fact that Gong Bei Qiang was killed by Soul Eater will absolutely not be discovered by the War Soul Star Palace.”

”The War Soul Imperial Capital is Grandfather’s territory.”

Seeing the calm demeanor of her grandfather, Gongyang Ying finally let out a faint sigh of relief.

The next instant, Gongyang Ren asked in a deep voice, ”Ying’er, where is Soul Eater?”

Upon hearing this, Gongyang Ying spoke through gritted teeth, ”I drove away that villain. I suspect he came to harm you, Grandfather. He might have some serious grudge against you.”

As soon as her words fell, Gongyang Ren was stunned, his face twitching crazily, an expression of helplessness spreading across his old face.

”Grandfather, what’s wrong?” Gongyang Ying felt perplexed. Wasn’t it right to drive away Soul Eater?

No, that can’t be right, given he possesses the secret of the Moon Soul Battle Body, neither she nor her grandfather could do anything to him at the moment. Better to drive him away, depriving him of any chance to rise again.

Hadn’t her actions been correct?

”Ying’er, how could you be so foolish?”

Gongyang Ren wore a wry smile, explaining, ”Why did Soul Eater kill Gong Bei Qiang and the others from the Xingluo General Academy? He isn’t trying to kill us, but to shake off my Hidden Guards’ surveillance.”

Upon hearing this, Gongyang Ying’s mouth hung open, and her body shook violently.

The two Hidden Guards were unable to continue surveilling Soul Eater due to dealing with Gong Bei Qiang’s death, and she had actually managed to drive him away.

”Him saying that he would kill anyone who insulted you or beating up Lian Zhiyu because of the humiliation was all Soul Eater’s tactic to get rid of our hands.”

”Do you think he seems impulsive by looking at the battles he had in Wang Hun State?”

As Gongyang Ren spoke, Gongyang Ying’s complexion gradually turned pale and then so red it seemed as if blood would ooze out.

”He played me again?” Gongyang Ying felt the tears well up once more.

Gongyang Ren nodded solemnly; his granddaughter was truly too pitiful, encountering such an unbending and unreasonable scoundrel.

”Grandfather, I, I will send people to assassinate him,” Gongyang Ying broke down, speaking incoherently.

At that moment, Gongyang Ying was completely devastated, her thoughts in utter disarray.

In fact, it wasn’t entirely Gongyang Ying’s fault. The assault on Lian Zhiyu had already left her emotionally distressed and the matter of Gong Bei Qiang distracted her heart onto the Imperial Advisor Mansion. She could not calm down at all.

How could she possibly have the mind to think carefully about the schemes and plots of the Soul Eater Leader?

”Don’t be hasty, you can’t be hasty...”

”Soul Eater is so cunning, finding him would be like searching for a needle in a haystack.”
