Chapter 642: Chapter 642: Dragon Soul Battlefield

After hesitating, Qiu Baichu ultimately agreed. He was very grateful and admired Sikong Jing... Also, he didn’t believe that Sikong Jing could produce any adverse effects on the Dragon Soul Battlefield.

Qiu Baichu firmly believed that without his grandfather opening the Natural Formation, Sikong Jing wouldn’t be able to enter at all.

So, the two of them quickly arrived at the entrance to the Dragon Soul Battlefield, which looked like a gloomily eerie underground entrance.

Outside the entrance stood two large stone steles inscribed with ”Dragon Soul Battlefield” and ”Forbidden Area.” Inside the entrance, a vast, domineering, and sinister aura emanated, which ordinary people probably couldn’t withstand for long.

The minds of ordinary people could easily be drawn in, causing them to experience chaotic emotions.

At this moment, Master Zhang was already waiting there.

Seeing Master Zhang, Qiu Baichu was obviously startled, not understanding why the former would suddenly appear here.

He didn’t know what relationship Master Zhang had with Sikong Jing.

As for Sikong Jing, he gave a slight nod to Master Zhang and then stared straight at the entrance of the Dragon Soul Battlefield. The Beast Heart inside his monstrous skull suddenly trembled, and his Spirit Platform Sea of Consciousness stirred...

Simultaneously, the bloodline power of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts circulated, followed by an intent belonging to Sikong Jing rushing in.

And the moment Sikong Jing’s intent entered...

The roiling and chaotic Dragon Soul Power within the Dragon Soul Battlefield seemed to freeze; it was as if it saw something terrifying invading, causing the Dragon Soul Power to twist in fright.

The Dragon Soul Power had long lost consciousness, retaining only the will from its life.

But clearly, they also instinctively feared the imposing pressure of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts.

Of course, the changes within the Dragon Soul Battlefield were not visible to Qiu Baichu and Master Zhang outside the entrance; they could only sense some terrifyingly cold power emanating from Sikong Jing, ineffable and indescribable.

After scanning, Sikong Jing gently withdrew his intent, and the Dragon Soul Battlefield returned to calm once again.

The pressure emanating from Sikong Jing also vanished without a trace. He then looked back at Qiu Baichu and said, ”I’m going inside now, and it might take a few days. Remember to have your grandfather wait outside to pursue me when the time comes.”

Upon hearing this, Qiu Baichu was stunned again. I told you there is a Natural Formation, and you can’t get in.

Sikong Jing noticed Qiu Baichu’s confusion but did not explain.

He then looked toward Master Zhang and softly said, ”The extra meridians inside you can be resolved by cultivating with this Green Jade Tube. It should help you break through a minor realm... Well, see you later.”

Having said that, Sikong Jing flicked a Green Jade Tube to Master Zhang, then strode towards the entrance of the Dragon Soul Battlefield.

Master Zhang, catching the Green Jade Tube, was slightly excited.

On the other hand, Qiu Baichu didn’t have time to care about Master Zhang’s affairs and called out to the departing figure of Sikong Jing, ”Junior Brother Sikong, the Natural Formation is very dangerous.”

However, Sikong Jing just returned with a smile and had already stepped into the Formation.

Qiu Baichu was completely dumbfounded; he couldn’t understand why Sikong Jing was so bold. He shouted warily, ”Master Zhang, we need to retreat quickly, the formation’s power is about to blast out.”

After speaking, the two hurriedly backed away, but when they steadied themselves, they were stunned again.

There was no formation power blasting out; they seemed to see through the deep dark entrance, Sikong Jing’s black figure advancing steadfastly, the so-called formation power not moving at all.

In an instant, Sikong Jing completely merged into the darkness, disappearing from their sight.

Looking at each other, Qiu Baichu murmured, ”Master Zhang, why doesn’t the Dragon Soul Battlefield’s formation attack Junior Brother Sikong?”

Master Zhang, utterly baffled, looked back and really wanted to say, if you don’t know, how would I know?

They certainly did not know that the so-called natural formation was, in fact, not natural at all.

It was formed by the power of dragon souls, which burst forth from the demon dragons that had died in massive numbers on the Dragon Soul Battlefield—how could they dare to resist the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts?

If it had been back when Sikong Jing was still very weak, they might have triggered the formation to devour him.

But now, the Dragon Soul Battlefield was clearly not up to par.

Eventually, Qiu Baichu calmed down, muttering, ”It is said that Sikong Jing took the Six Symbols Dragon Sword from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, maybe this is not just a legend, but a reality.”

Master Zhang strongly agreed, knowing the implication of Qiu Baichu’s words—Sikong Jing was indeed extraordinary.

He could ignore the natural formation, perhaps as a matter of course.

After a while, Qiu Baichu looked towards Master Zhang again.

Naturally, he was inquiring why the latter had come here and why Sikong Jing had given him the Green Jade Tube, but when he learned that Sikong Jing had constructed new meridians within Master Zhang’s body with just a wave of his hand, Qiu Baichu was stunned again.

”Sikong Jing, too terrifying!”

”But it’s strange, why do I always feel that I have seen him somewhere?”

Qiu Baichu felt puzzled, wondering where he had seen Sikong Jing before, feeling a strong sense of familiarity.

No matter how hard he racked his brains, he couldn’t figure it out.

He could not link Sikong Jing to the impulsive guard by Miss Gongyang’s side.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh...

Before long, figures appeared; they were the instructors and students of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace. When they heard that Sikong Jing had ignored the natural formation and directly stepped into the Dragon Soul Battlefield, everyone was dumbfounded.

Everyone was utterly bewildered, and now they could only wait for the Palace Master and others to return before discussing it further.

...

In the Dragon Soul Battlefield, Sikong Jing had already crossed the natural formation.

He walked through this deep underground demon dragon battlefield, where all he saw were the densely packed bones of demon dragons, making one imagine how terrifying the ancient battles among demon dragons were.

Around him, the chaotic power of dragon souls pervaded, the unwilling soul power of the dead demon dragons madly entangling.

And these forces, of course, were not actual souls but merely the remnants and wills left by the souls.

These dragon soul powers, of course, still did not dare to approach Sikong Jing. Even when Sikong Jing appeared, the originally entangled dragon soul power calmed down once again, as if fearful emotions had arisen.

Looking around at the surrounding dense white bones, Sikong Jing murmured to himself, ”Dragon Soul Battlefield... I wonder if I could use the dragon soul power here to construct a Battle Soul Field for cultivation insight?”

Previously, when he heard Master Zhang mention the Dragon Soul Battlefield, he had this idea.

Indeed, using the secret technique of the War Soul Harvest Army of the War Soul Dynasty...

And using his previous method in the Soul Penetration Mountains, with the soul power of Dark Winged Dragon Eagles and Heavenly Fire Lions, he could leave behind a Dragon Soul Battle Soul Field here!

The soldiers of the 66th Army could then cultivate in the Battle Soul Field, and in a short time, all reach the Xuantian Realm.

If he could construct a Battle Soul Field centered on dragon soul power, it would mean that he could provide the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace with a more direct and stronger place for cultivation.

This was what Sikong Jing had mentioned to Qiu Baichu earlier, that it might offer them a chance to defy the Holy Dragon General Academy.
