Berserk God of War

Chapter 613: Chapter 613: Encirclement, Cutting Off Retreat?

In a certain area of the bandit hideout, Sikong Jing received a report from the Absolute Night Wolf Guards, specifically about Gongyang Ying’s furious action.

Regarding this, Sikong Jing smiled and said, ”As expected. She’s probably already starting to wonder why I left Lu Lungan’s army.”

”Hmm, should I tell her that I stole the War Soul Secret Technique?”

Ning Jingjing was suddenly speechless. Do you still think you are really a Soul Eater?

Sikong Jing shook his head, thinking no more of it, and turned to look at a clearing between the mountains, murmuring, ”Setting up a War Soul Arena centered around the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle and the Heavenly Fire Lion seems not so easy.”

He hadn’t forgotten about this, using the War Soul Secret Technique to set up the War Soul Arena.

Once successful, all soldiers of the 66th Army could enter the Xuantian Realm and potentially double their combat power.

”I still need time to properly study this.”

Sikong Jing muttered to himself, then his thoughts entered the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison to observe the real Fierce Beast Dark Winged Dragon Eagle.

There, in the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison, was also one of the most powerful Heavenly Fire Lions.

He needed to find a method to set up the War Soul Arena from both of their essences.

And it would be the type that doesn’t require the death of the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle and the Heavenly Fire Lion...

The War Soul Secret Technique required a large number of dead soldiers, but that was too evil, so what Sikong Jing intended to do was to change this by drawing on a strand of soul power from the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle and the Heavenly Fire Lion for the setup.

Time passed, day by day.

Every day Sikong Jing would eat breakfast in the courtyard where Gongyang Ying was confined, and each day a small city lord from Wang Hun State was brought in, increasing Gongyang Ying’s anger and shock further.

”The seventh day, the seventh city lord.”

”How does Miss Gongyang feel, as my chips are increasing daily?”

Still in the same courtyard, Sikong Jing asked leisurely while enjoying his breakfast.

Gongyang Ying gritted her teeth beneath her veil and shouted furiously, ”Soul Eater, you must know, if you continue like this, what awaits you is the suppression by the War Soul Dynasty Army, and then more people will die, and you will be despised by everyone.”

Sikong Jing shrugged indifferently and finished his remaining porridge in one gulp.

Then he stood up and said cheerfully, ”In three days, you’ll witness the first major suppression in Wang Hun City, and the battlefield will be on Luohun Road, I hope by then you’ll have changed your mind. See you tomorrow.”

After saying this, Sikong Jing turned and left, and today his Dark Wings and Heavenly Fire Lion War Soul Arena was about to be completed.

As for what he just mentioned three days later...

After Sui Yu’s seven days of battle to conquer the city, Wang Hun State had already been in turmoil.

City Lord Zeng’s father, naturally unable to sit still, had summoned the entire military force of Wang Hun State.

Soon, they would launch an attack on Luohun Road!

That day, Sikong Jing completed setting up the War Soul Arena, and aside from the 66th Army soldiers who were on an expedition, all other soldiers entered the War Soul Arena for cultivation, each making frenzied breakthroughs.

Three days later, all entered the Xuantian Realm, and very soon the entire 66th Army would become Xuantian Soldiers.

At the same time, three days later, Sui Yu leading his troops returned to Luohun Road.

Simultaneously, a three million strong army from Wang Hun State had already arrived, led impressively by the City Lord of Wang Hun City... Zeng Youhan.

He was Zeng Yuanxi’s father.

As the City Lord of Wang Hun City and the ruler of Wang Hun State, Zeng Youhan had no choice but to lead troops to eradicate the Soul Stealers.

Just upon arriving, Zeng Youhan roared furiously, ”Soul rebels, today you will be utterly crushed. If you release Miss Gongyang and all Jianghu people now, perhaps there is still a way to live.”

His voice shook the entire Luohun Road, causing rocks to tumble down.

At the same time, Sikong Jing had already returned with a hundred thousand soldiers from the 66th Army to the stockade on Luohun Road.

The remaining fifty thousand were still in the den, guarding those from Jianghu.

For him, bringing a hundred thousand along with Sui Yu’s fifty thousand was already enough.

Sitting at the head of the stockade’s grand hall, Sikong Jing looked at Gongyang Ying, whom he had also brought along, and asked, ”Miss Gongyang, to think that Zeng Youhan actually brought three million troops to suppress us, he really thinks too highly of me.”

Pausing, Sikong Jing then asked, ”What do you think I should do?”

Gongyang Ying, expressionless, coldly replied, ”Surrender, you have no chance.”

Three million against two hundred thousand... or rather, a hundred and fifty thousand Soul Stealers; the latter could not possibly stand a chance, even with the terrain of Soul Penetration Mountain as their backing, they would be swept over by the large army without a trace.

Gongyang Ying thought very confidently.

Sikong Jing narrowed his eyes, ”Unfortunately, I, the Soul Eater Leader, don’t believe in this curse; I am determined to fight to the death.”

Then, he led everyone slowly out of the stockade, stood on a large boulder on Luohun Road, looking down from on high toward Zeng Youhan’s direction, and declared, ”City Lord Zeng, your son, Zeng Yuanxi, is in my hands...”

Upon hearing this, Zeng Youhan’s eyes widened, and he stared at Sikong Jing, saying, ”Soul Eater, release my son, or else...”

Before he could finish speaking, Sikong Jing interrupted with a cold laugh, ”Bring Zeng Yuanxi to me.”

Soon, a ghostly scream was heard.

Zeng Yuanxi was brought before Sikong Jing by two soldiers from the 66th Army, and then Sikong Jing reached out to grab the former’s neck and proclaimed, ”City Lord Zeng...”

”Impossible, even if you kill my son, I will never retreat; I am determined to annihilate you Soul Stealers.” This time, it was Zeng Youhan’s turn to interrupt Sikong Jing’s words, looking utterly dominant.

However, his eyes kept flickering, and he added, ”Unless...”

”City Lord Zeng, you are wrong.”

Sikong Jing also interrupted him, ”Do you think I am using your son’s life to threaten you to retreat? No, what I want to say is...your son’s life is the trumpet of this war; I want you all to come without return.”

With that said, Sikong Jing threw Zeng Yuanxi out, and then slashed with a sword.

Thud...

Zeng Yuanxi was instantly decapitated, falling off the cliff, dying before he could even scream.

Before he died, he probably thought, all I did was glance at your Xiao Jing a few times; why the hell are you, out of all people, so intent on killing just me? This is utterly personal vengeance, infuriating!

This scene caused Gongyang Ying to widen her eyes in disbelief.

At the same time, Zeng Youhan and his three million troops fell silent below, then a roar that shook the heavens and the earth followed.

Zeng Youhan completely lost his mind!

”Attack, all troops attack, annihilate these damned Soul Stealers.”

His heart was bleeding; he had still wanted to negotiate some terms, but the Soul Eater Leader had just gone ahead and decapitated his son.

Damn it, not seeking revenge would be in vain as a father.

In fact, Zeng Youhan hadn’t wanted to fight at all, for Gongyang Ying and his son were both in the hands of the Soul Stealers; if there was a chance to negotiate a successful rescue, he would have been very willing.

But now there was no more room for negotiation, it was time to kill!

At that moment, Gongyang Ying regained her senses and stared at Sikong Jing, saying, ”Are you pushing yourself and the Soul Stealers into a hopeless situation? You’re severing your own escape routes.”

Decapitating Zeng Yuanxi and driving Zeng Youhan mad, weren’t the Soul Stealers cutting off their own retreat?
