Berserk God of War

Chapter 618: Chapter 618: Being Followed

”I, Soul Eater, have received the decree.”

Sikong Jing, of course, did not kneel, nor did he pay attention to the Luohun New Thieves, but instead reached out to greet the eunuch who delivered the decree.

This attitude caused the young eunuch’s expression to change slightly.

Nevertheless, he looked towards Gongyang Ying... and after receiving the latter’s nod, he reluctantly handed the decree to Sikong Jing.

Finally, the Divine Spaceship turned around and departed.

At this moment, Gongyang Ying’s life was still in Sikong Jing’s hands. Sikong Jing gently said, ”Miss Gongyang, until my Luohun thieves reach a safe disassembly point, I will not release you, no problem, right?”

Gongyang Ying nodded gently. It was reasonable for Soul Eater to do so, as he also feared she might go back on her word.

If she could annihilate all the Luohun thieves, she could keep the secret of her Battle Body... Therefore, the Soul Eater Leader would naturally ensure their safety before allowing any massacre.

With a smile, Sikong Jing turned back to look at the million Luohun thieves, who were still red-faced.

A new thief leader stepped forward boldly and shouted, ”Soul Eater, do you have the guts?”

He was really furious.

The Soul Eater Leader was actually being appeased, and only to become a minor guard at the Imperial Advisor Mansion.

His mother, the morale of all thieves completely exploded.

Towards this new thief leader’s cursing, Sikong Jing remained indifferent.

What a joke, he wasn’t the real Soul Eater; all his objectives were just to obtain the Thousand-year-old White Ginseng and to find an opportunity to ambush Mo Ci of the Wangyou Sect while staying at the Imperial Advisor Mansion.

Now that his two objectives were achieved, why would he care how the mountain bandits cursed him?

Besides, he had other plans.

Therefore, Sikong Jing pulled out a stack of maps and said indifferently, ”Now all the mountain bandit leaders come here to get the map, then leave Wang Hun City in batches to reach the locations indicated on the map.”

As soon as these words were spoken, the thieves wanted to start cursing...

But Sikong Jing sneered, ”If you don’t do as told, you might die miserably.”

The moment his words fell, the curses of the thieves stopped.

They looked at the War Soul Elite soldiers surrounding the outside, then at the indifferent Soul Eater Leader before them, and the thieves could only angrily take the maps from Sikong Jing’s hands.

After all the mountain bandit leaders had received the maps, batch after batch left Wang Hun City.

Because Gongyang Ying was still in Sikong Jing’s hands, the one hundred fifty thousand War Soul Elites outside did not trouble them. Finally, Sikong Jing handed another map to Ning Jingjing...

The 66th Army, under the guise of Fake Thieves, also successfully left Wang Hun City under Ning Jingjing’s leadership.

Before leaving, they stared deeply at Sikong Jing... They would stay within Wang Hun State waiting for Sikong Jing’s return, and only then could they return to the Long Night Empire.

It was only when Sikong Jing was the last Luohun thief left in Wang Hun City that Gongyang Ying finally sighed deeply.

But she was still held in Sikong Jing’s grasp, needing to wait a bit longer.

Hours later, one after another, message birds flew into Sikong Jing’s hands, reporting safety.

That is, batches of Luohun thieves had safely arrived according to Sikong Jing’s maps. Only after the message bird indicating safety from the 66th Army had arrived was the matter considered finished.

Gongyang Ying had been counting the message birds, and finally, when the last one landed, she said, ”Soul Eater, can you feel at ease now?”

With a slight smile, Sikong Jing gently released his grip on Gongyang Ying, then deeply bowed with a fist, revealing a smile and said, ”Guard Soul Eater, I’ve met Miss Gongyang.”

At this moment, his identity had completely changed.

Gongyang Ying still stared at him intently, and eventually spoke, ”I hope you can cash in the chip and truly reform.”

Having said this, Gongyang Ying turned and walked away.

She still had to announce this matter to the thirty thousand Jianghu people and Zeng Youhan, among others.

”I also hope that the moment I arrive in the War Soul Imperial City, I can get the Thousand-year-old White Ginseng... otherwise, the news that Miss Gongyang is the Moon Soul Battle Body will spread all over the north and south of the river,” Sikong Jing said with a smile behind her.

The thousand-year-old White Ginseng had not yet been secured, and the State Preceptor Gongyang Ren had also written a letter back, saying he would only provide it once Gongyang Ying was safely returned to the Imperial Capital.

Taking a deep breath, Gongyang Ying said coldly, ”Rest assured, I always keep my word.”

...

Just as Gongyang Ying began to announce the resolution of the turmoil in Wang Hun State, the mountain bandits who had reached the endpoint on the map were still swearing vehemently, feeling incredibly aggrieved.

”Soul Eater is insane, such a perfect opportunity, a perfect opportunity indeed.”

”I bet Gongyang Ying must have used some bewitching trick on him, making him willingly become a guard of the Imperial Advisor Mansion.”

”Exactly, during their fight, I thought I saw Gongyang Ying shimmering in silver all over, probably using some male-enticing tactic. Soul Eater couldn’t resist being charmed, and we’re damn unlucky because of that.”

Each one was furious but helpless.

They even had to follow the map given by the Soul Eater Leader; they knew all too well that disobedience could likely lead to death.

Slaughtered by the War Soul Dynasty’s elites!

Among a group of mountain bandits, one asked their leader, ”Boss, what should we do next?”

The bandit leader’s face kept changing as he muttered softly, ”What else can we do but return to our old hideout...”

Spur...

Before he could finish, a sword light suddenly pierced the heart of the bandit leader.

Instantly, the whole place was shocked...

A man dressed as a little bandit was seen holding a sword, having killed their leader without any warning.

At that moment, the bandit leader stared blankly at his continuously bleeding chest, asking, ”Who... who are you?”

The man dressed as a little bandit slowly withdrew his sword, smiled faintly, and said, ”Me, the Deputy General of the Soul Stealers, Fei Chian!”

Upon hearing this, the bandits were stunned.

Then with a ”clang” pointing at Fei Chian, a bandit asked, ”What are you doing? Why did you kill our boss? Has Soul Eater gone mad? Does he plan not to spare us even after surrendering to the War Soul Dynasty?”

Each one thought that Soul Eater intended to kill all the mountain bandits to gain great merit...

Letting them go before was just for show.

For the notoriously evil Soul Eater Leader, such an act was not unusual.

”No, killing your leader was because he was inherently evil, and our leader simply chose not to use him,” Fei Chian said with a light smile. ”Now, you must obey me, or you too will soon die.”

The bandits were dumbfounded, completely baffled.

Someone asked, ”What the hell are you talking about?”

Fei Chian smiled faintly, suddenly took the map from the dead bandit leader’s body, and tore it up. Then, several flashes of inspiration burst out, darting toward a patch of bushes nearby...

The next moment, voices from the bushes called out, ”We’ve been discovered, retreat!”

Instantly, several figures dashed away, but Fei Chian chased them down immediately, killing them one by one.

Holding the blood-dripping sword, Fei Chian faced all the bandits and said, ”Each of our groups has been tracked by the War Soul Dynasty. However, the Soul Eater Leader had already prepared by marking the trackers with a Secret Technique.”

”Tearing the map reveals the trackers’ shadows.”

”My orders from the leader were to kill the trackers.”

”And why do you think we were being tracked by the War Soul Dynasty?”

The bandits looked at each other, their expressions filled with shocked disbelief.

Finally, an old mountain bandit stepped forward, his voice hoarse, ”Because even though the Soul Eater Leader was recruited by the War Soul Dynasty, they didn’t intend to spare us, the War Soul Dynasty wants to kill all the Soul Stealers.”

Hearing this, Fei Chian smiled and nodded emphatically.
