Berserk God of War

Chapter 615: Chapter 615: Sweeping Through Wang Hun State

Seeing Gongyang Ying full of confidence, Sikong Jing slowly began, ”Since that is the case, then I shall fulfill your wish...”

As he spoke, he faced all the gathered Luohun New Thieves and the 66th Army Fake Thieves, and shouted loudly, ”Listen up, everyone, the War Soul Elite Soldiers will arrive in five days, and my Soul Eaters will sweep through Wang Hun State within these five days.”

”And I will invade Wang Hun City before the War Soul Elite Soldiers arrive!”

One by one, the Fake Thieves looked determined, while the New Thieves screamed incessantly, roaring with rage about sweeping through Wang Hun State.

At the same time, Gongyang Ying trembled all over and said through gritted teeth, ”You’re simply a madman, you can’t possibly succeed.”

Sikong Jing couldn’t be bothered to say more and, with a single command, led the Soul Stealers to depart.

Meanwhile, Gongyang Ying was thrown back into her lair in the Soul Penetration Mountains, still guarded by the Absolute Night Wolf Guard.

Next, the terror of the Soul Stealers would sweep over the entirety of Wang Hun State unseen by Gongyang Ying.

The name of the Soul Stealers would soon... strike terror into the hearts of all!

The sweep began, just as Gongyang Ying had said, three adjoining states sent large armies to help...

But it was futile; the troops from the three states weren’t assembled together, and they couldn’t muster a ten million strong army all at once. Therefore, Sikong Jing led the Soul Stealers to defeat them one by one, each step taken with surgical precision.

During this time, more and more mountain bandits came to join them.

Among them were many from the other three states, some Jianghu people, and even some deserters.

Before long, the Soul Stealers had become an army of a million.

A sweep, an absolute sweep, no War Soul Army could withstand their onslaught.

Four days later, Sikong Jing led a million mountain bandits to Wang Hun City.

Atop the city walls, Zeng Youhan had completely lost his senses, along with the generals from the three states who had come with him.

One of the generals clenched his fist and roared with determination, ”What’s there to be scared of? We are defending the city now, and in one day the elite forces of the War Soul Dynasty will be here—the fifty thousand Bear Blood Warriors, plus a million Innate Realm Soldiers.”

”As long as we hold out for one day, we can attack from both sides and annihilate the Soul Stealers.”

Encouraged by the general’s words, Zeng Youhan and the others regained their confidence. They were absolutely assured that they could hold out for a day.

They had already received orders from the Imperial Capital, just to hold out for a day to be relieved.

However, just one ’shichen’ later, Wang Hun City... fell!

The Soul Stealers howled as they stormed into Wang Hun City, and as for how it fell... Bloody hell, the Soul Stealers each mounted terrifying Flying Demon Beasts, a force of two or three hundred thousand Flying Knights. If Wang Hun City didn’t fall, it would be a miracle indeed.

Worse still, these flying knights’ demon beast mounts were all Heavenly Realm Demon Beasts from the Soul Penetration Mountains.

Hold out for a day?

When Zeng Youhan was bound by the Soul Stealers, he thought the very idea was a colossal joke.

Reflecting on the recent battles with the Soul Stealers, he wondered if he had encountered a commander on par with Lu Lungan.

It was truly a disaster. From beginning to end, there wasn’t a single battle that didn’t end in a tragic defeat.

And when he saw Sikong Jing approaching, Zeng Youhan couldn’t help but roar in anger, ”Soul Eater, you madman, you didn’t need to kill my son, why did you kill him?”

With the leadership ability of a Soul Eater Leader, there was absolutely no need to kill Zeng Yuanxi.

Sikong Jing glanced at him and casually replied, ”Because he once had designs on my Second Master Xiao Hun, because he was profligate and unrestrained... Well, do my Soul Eaters need a reason to kill?”

After saying so, he paid no more attention to Zeng Youhan. Now that Wang Hun City had been captured, he had other matters to attend to.

Once Wang Hun City had somewhat calmed down, Sikong Jing immediately gave the order, ”Bring me Miss Gongyang from Luohun Road, and all three hundred thousand Jianghu people... And replace the Battle Flag of Wang Hun City.”

...

Half a day later, when Gongyang Ying and the three hundred thousand Jianghu people were escorted to Wang Hun City, they were all stunned.

”Miss, this Soul Eater, this Soul Eater...”

Aunt Mian was trembling at Gongyang Ying’s side, pointing at the Battle Flag flying high above Wang Hun City, unable to finish her sentence at the sight of the word ”Soul Stealer.”

The Soul Stealers had truly taken Wang Hun City.

At that moment, the face beneath Gongyang Ying’s red veil was filled with utter bewilderment; she realized she had been wrong again.

From the beginning, she had been making continuous mistakes.

The Soul Eater Leader, on the other hand, kept showing her through his actions that his bargaining chips would become more and more terrifying. Because she refused to give him the Thousand-year-old White Ginseng, he kept escalating his bargaining chips with terrible methods.

He didn’t use treasures, he didn’t use anything else... instead, it was one siege and massacre after another.

His bargaining chips were the disaster of Wang Hun State!

Just like that, Gongyang Ying was dazedly escorted into Wang Hun City, and four and a half days later, she met the Soul Eater Leader again in the grand hall of the city tower, brought in alone.

Gongyang Ying opened her mouth but could no longer say anything.

And Sikong Jing, without saying a word to her, left her standing to the side.

Then he said to Ning Jingjing and the others, ”In half a day, five hundred thousand Bear Blood Warriors and one million Innate Soldiers will arrive at Wang Hun State, and they will surely think we’ll ambush them on Luohun Road, but we will do the exact opposite.”

The elite intelligence of the War Soul Dynasty, of course, had been obtained from the mouths of people like Zeng Youhan...

Now, it was time for Sikong Jing’s response meeting.

Gongyang Ying listened intently; she was eager to know how the Soul Eater would fight against the real elite forces of the War Soul Dynasty.

In the grand hall of Wang Hun City’s city tower, everyone was staring at Sikong Jing.

Both the fake thieves from the 66th Army and the new thieves looked on with anticipation, eager to act.

Finally, Sikong Jing spoke again, ”We are thieves, and staying within the borders of the War Soul Dynasty is pointless for us, and fighting the War Soul Dynasty’s elite soldiers is meaningless.”

”After one wave comes another, and with our numbers, there is no way we can win.”

Hearing this, Gongyang Ying thought to herself, At least you have some self-awareness this time.

Sikong Jing continued, ”So we are giving up Wang Hun City now. Taking advantage of the current vulnerability of Heng Hun State to the east, we’ll strike there first, then move to the Youyuan Twelve States, and deliver a stab in the back to Lu Lungan.”

As soon as these words fell, Gongyang Ying’s pupils suddenly constricted in shock and anger, staring at Sikong Jing.

But Sikong Jing still ignored her and added, ”When the time comes, I will contact Marshal Cheng Yusu of the Long Night Empire, and we will be able to help the Long Night Empire take the Twelve States of Lower You.”

”After that, we will be appointed in the Long Night Empire, as generals and marshals. Are you willing to leave your homes behind?”

As his voice died down, Ning Jingjing and the others finally understood. Sikong Jing intended to employ such ruthless tactics, absolutely cruel and unforgivable – moves that Gongyang Ying and even the War Soul Dynasty couldn’t bear.

And the new thieves were shouting loudly without end; they had nothing to be unwilling about since they were always thieves.

They had no concept of a hometown. If they could become generals and marshals in the Long Night Empire, how could they be unwilling?

Seeing the crowd shouting, Sikong Jing said loudly, ”Good, notify everyone, we abandon the city and set out now...”

”Wait a minute!”

Finally, Gongyang Ying could not hold back her scream, her eyes were, unknown when, already a blazing red.

Sikong Jing paused his steps, turned around, and asked, ”Miss Gongyang, is there anything else?”
