Berserk God of War

Chapter 641: Chapter 641: Blood Refining Chasing Dragon, Demon Path Technique

She had originally wanted to beg for mercy, hoping to trade some treasure or the like for her life, but Sikong Jing gave her no chance.

Until her death, she never understood why there could be someone so cruel, so deviant and unorthodox in this world.

Unfortunately, Lian Zhuiyu would never get an answer.

In the instant Lian Zhuiyu took her last breath, Holy Dragon Town was enveloped in silence, and the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace became utterly still.

Amid the ruins of collapsed buildings, many looked up at Sikong Jing atop the Ice Soul Cold Eagle, their faces covered in dust, yet now radiant with brilliant smiles.

They had been bitterly bullied by the likes of Lian Zhuiyu, and it was Sikong Jing who had avenged them.

Qiu Bai Chu, Junior Sister Luan, and others had almost been killed, and it was Sikong Jing who had saved them.

There were also students with tears streaming down their faces, as their companions had been killed outright by Lian Zhuiyu and her group over a mere disagreement.

Now, they rejoiced for their fallen comrades.

Master Zhang sat atop the shattered remains of a rooftop, his face blank with astonishment, ”Sikong Jing won, rank 98 on the East Plain Thousand Dominator List defeated rank 86, my previous worries were completely unfounded!”

Master Zhang was also in tears, for it was he who had personally brought Sikong Jing here.

Before, he had felt so pressured that he dared not make a move, yet how he wished he could have intervened! If not for Sikong Jing’s presence outside Holy Dragon Town, those few students would have been doomed.

Master Zhang would have blamed himself for a lifetime.

As a mentor unable to protect his own students, it would have been a lifelong disgrace.

But still, no one cheered at the moment, nor did anyone dare approach Sikong Jing, for they all knew too well the terrifying storm that Lian Zhuiyu’s death at the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace would trigger.

They even hesitated to come forward.

For a mere touch could place them under the scrutiny of the Main Academy.

The inner ranks of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace were not so unified; there were always those who, in hopes of currying favor with the Main Academy, would betray their fellow students.

Of course, they were not familiar with Sikong Jing and didn’t know how to approach such a formidable figure. In the face of the fearsome and towering Sikong Jing, they all felt incredibly small.

Sikong Jing paid no heed to the various unusual gazes around him.

He lightly jumped off the Ice Soul Cold Eagle and landed on the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon, then reached out to extract the inner core of the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon...

After observing it for a few moments, a deep chill flashed in his eyes.

Sikong Jing slowly said, ”No wonder I’ve always felt that this Blood Refining Chasing Dragon was a bit strange. As it turns out, it is a creature that forcibly merged with Fierce Beast Blood against the will of a Demon Dragon. The Holy Dragon General Academy is actually using Demon Path methods to create Demon Dragons.”

Normally, Sikong Jing would not easily kill any Demon Dragon, but the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon had died beneath his spear.

Now, upon obtaining the inner core, he realized that the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon was not actually a Blood Refining Chasing Dragon, but just some ordinary Demon Dragon that had been forced to assimilate Fierce Beast Blood through sinister means.

Such methods were abhorrent to Sikong Jing, the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts, from the bottom of his heart.

It’s like forcibly merging someone’s bloodline with another’s against their will; one would surely feel enraged.

Sikong Jing was human, but also a Fierce Beast; he empathized deeply.

”It seems the Holy Dragon General Academy has long been treading the path of the Demon Path. No wonder their actions have become more and more disgusting,” he said.

With that, Sikong Jing crushed the inner core of the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon into fragments.

To him, such an inner core was worthless.

After dealing with it, Sikong Jing looked around and finally his gaze settled on Qiu Bai Chu.

”You are Qiu Bai Chu, Senior Brother Qiu, right?”

”I have come to the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace not only to slay Lian Zhiyu but also to see your Dragon Soul Battlefield. Take me there now,” Sikong Jing said.

Qiu Baichu stood frozen, as did the others around him, Sikong Jing’s tone carried an undeniable certainty.

His attitude was also very tough and domineering.

However, after a brief pause, a flicker of sharpness crossed Qiu Baichu’s eyes, and he said deeply, ”Sikong Jing, thank you for saving me, but you are no longer a student of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, I’m afraid I cannot...”

Before he could finish, Sikong Jing flashed forward abruptly, grabbed him, and whisked him away.

At the same time, Sikong Jing’s gaze swept towards Master Zhang, signaling subtly.

Master Zhang immediately understood. He still had to attend to a set of minor meridians in his body, so he quickly instructed several ordinary students, ”Don’t you say a word about us letting Sikong Jing in, understand?”

After speaking, Master Zhang flash-stepped away.

As Sikong Jing and Qiu Baichu disappeared, an uproar broke out in Holy Dragon Town.

They could finally cheer freely, as the pressure from Sikong Jing had been far too great moments earlier.

But some were secretly vicious, their eyes full of a ruthless coldness. Perhaps they could have a chance to enter the Holy Dragon General Academy for study, as long as they could provide evidence of a close relationship between Qiu Baichu and Sikong Jing—just to allow Lian Zhiyu’s father his revenge...

...

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing had taken Qiu Baichu to an isolated location.

No sooner had the latter touched the ground that he fell to his knees, declaring, ”Junior Brother Sikong, I will never forget your life-saving grace, Qiu Baichu will remember this forever.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Sikong Jing helped him up forcefully, and Qiu Baichu had no strength to resist.

With a smile, Sikong Jing replied, ”Let’s set aside you owing me your life for a moment. The truth is, I’ve caused big trouble for your War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, and I’m afraid no matter how well you act, it will be hard to withstand the wrath of the Holy Dragon General Academy.”

At these words, Qiu Baichu’s complexion turned deathly pale.

He certainly knew Sikong Jing’s previous tyrannical attitude was deliberate, also to save him and to prevent him from being taken directly by the Holy Dragon General Academy for execution...

But was this really enough?

Qiu Baichu had his doubts.

In Sikong Jing’s name, he had enraged Lian Zhiyu, then Sikong Jing appeared and saved him. No matter how they argued or pretended, the Holy Dragon General Academy would probably kill him to vent their anger.

Yet even so, Qiu Baichu was still filled with gratitude towards Sikong Jing.

If it hadn’t been for Sikong Jing’s arrival, he wouldn’t even have had the chance to be a target for venting rage and would have been killed outright by Lian Zhiyu.

Then, Sikong Jing said deeply, ”Tell your Palace Master grandfather to pin all the blame on me. As soon as I leave the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, let him issue an order to hunt me down. Don’t hold back.”

His body trembling, Qiu Baichu’s eyes reddened, filled with extreme unwillingness.

It wasn’t Sikong Jing’s fault, nor was it the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace’s fault, yet they had to issue a death warrant against him.

”The law of the jungle, sometimes you have to bear with it to stay alive... Now take me to the Dragon Soul Battlefield, perhaps I can leave you a real chance to resist the Holy Dragon General Academy,” Sikong Jing said, his face grave. This world was cruel, and resistance required strength.

Realizing this, Qiu Baichu also understood.

But he shook his head and said, ”Junior Brother Sikong, the Dragon Soul Battlefield is surrounded by a Natural Formation that only my grandfather can open, and besides, it’s extremely dangerous. I’m afraid it would be pointless for you to go.”

He couldn’t take to heart Sikong Jing’s words about leaving ”a chance to resist the Holy Dragon General Academy.”

Even if Sikong Jing was exceptionally talented, it was impossible―the Dragon Soul Battlefield was terrifying.

Hearing this, Sikong Jing chuckled and said, ”No matter, just take me there to have a look.”
