Berserk God of War

Chapter 640: Chapter 640: Losing the Way, Few to Help, No One to Save

But Sikong Jing just laughed and said to Lian Zhiyu, ”I have a mount of the extraordinary fifth realm too.”

As he spoke, Sikong Jing switched his war saber for a long spear and then leaped from the Little Demon Dragon...

In the next instant, a chilling wind swept in, and an Ice Soul Cold Eagle suddenly appeared and caught him; naturally, it was the one from the Wangyou Sect that had come with him to the War Soul Imperial City.

It had come along with the Iron Bone Flying Vulture.

Of course, the Reverse Soul Realm Iron Bone Flying Vulture was Sikong Jing’s ultimate trump card against Mo Ci, not to be revealed casually. Now, it hadn’t entered the War Soul Imperial City to avoid drawing attention, whereas the extraordinary fifth realm Ice Soul Cold Eagle didn’t matter.

Standing on the back of the Ice Soul Cold Eagle, Sikong Jing pointed his long spear at Lian Zhiyu, once again becoming one with his mount.

Although Lian Zhiyu frowned, she showed no timidity and scoffed repeatedly, ”Ice Soul Cold Eagle? Utterly laughable. How can it compare to my Blood Refining Chasing Dragon?”

The Blood Refining Chasing Dragon, especially selected and modified by her father, was a terrifying existence with a Fierce Beast bloodline, easily killing demon beasts of the Dao Inquiry first and second realms by itself in the extraordinary fifth realm.

The Ice Soul Cold Eagle simply couldn’t compare.

But Sikong Jing slowly began to speak, ”It seems you’ve never heard that I, Sikong Jing, am invincible in mounted combat!”

As soon as the words fell, Sikong Jing charged out with the Ice Soul Cold Eagle.

Spear thrust after spear thrust pounded Lian Zhiyu relentlessly, the two extraordinary fifth realm demon beasts roaring continuously, countering each other.

Soon, Sikong Jing had already suppressed Lian Zhiyu; he was too powerful after merging with his mount!

”Invincible in mounted combat, slaying Bai Changwu, the master of the Martial Arts Institute at Long Night Star Palace, it turns out that was true,” Qiu Qifeng muttered to himself in the cloud layer. He suddenly looked around at the others, eyes gleaming, ”Sikong Jing is going to win.”

Shivering, the old woman elder hoarsely asked, ”Palace Master, should we save her?”

This time it was about saving Lian Zhiyu; if she died at the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, it would be a huge problem.

The faces of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace high court flushed with reluctance, really not wanting to save her.

Suddenly, Qiu Qifeng’s eyes bristled with killing intent as he decisively said, ”We will mock the War Soul Star Palace right now. Everyone goes to fight the War Soul Star Palace; we are all absent from the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace now.”

At these words, all the senior officials froze; the palace master meant to let Sikong Jing kill Lian Zhiyu outright.

As long as they were all absent from the palace, it would be difficult for Lian Zhiyu’s father to blame them...

However, someone still worriedly said, ”Palace Master, even so, we might still face tremendous pressure, and someone might die; should we reconsider?”

The senior officials trembled, still looking towards Qiu Qifeng; not saving Lian Zhiyu might be too reckless, right?

”We go against the War Soul Star Palace; what have we done wrong?”

”By then, the higher-ups of the War Soul Star Palace could bear witness for us; we simply weren’t in the Sacred Dragon Palace.”

Qiu Qifeng’s eyes were bloodshot; he was really that impulsive.

After sweeping his gaze over the high officials, Qiu Qifeng clenched his teeth and said, ”If anything, let’s just rebel with Shen Qingye.”

Perhaps it was Sikong Jing’s imposing aura or the fact that his grandson, Qiu Baichu, had nearly died that spurred him.

Qiu Qifeng was also pushed to his fiery spirit.

Having said that, he mounted the Demon Dragon and turned away, plunging straight out of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace... The high officials exchanged looks, each thinking back to Lian Zhiyu’s previous arrogance, and clenched their teeth as they chased after him.

They joined Qiu, the Palace Master, in his cause!

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing, still in the midst of battle, glanced skyward almost instinctively, a content smile appearing on his lips.

He, of course, noticed Qiu Qifeng and the others above the clouds. Their demon dragon mounts could not hide the sense of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts, and before this, Sikong Jing had been wondering if Qiu Qifeng would intervene to save Lian Zhiyu.

If he really had saved her, Sikong Jing would have looked down on them.

Now, Sikong Jing was very satisfied.

The gaze returned to Lian Zhiyu, as the spear pierced through her.

Boom, boom, boom...

One spear thrust followed another, each infused with the extraordinary power of the Ice Soul Cold Eagle, stabbing into the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon, which howled in agony.

And now, everyone knew that Sikong Jing had won.

As the battle continued, Lian Zhiyu grew more frightened and shocked.

She could not understand why the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon was losing, when it was clearly much stronger than the Ice Soul Cold Eagle.

Of course, she didn’t know that sometimes the knight was much more important than their mount.

A powerful knight could endow their mount with even fiercer strength.

Watching the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon about to collapse beneath her, Lian Zhiyu finally couldn’t help but scream out, ”War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace, Qiu Qifeng, come and save me, kill Sikong Jing quickly.”

The echo reverberated, but there was no response from around.

She now finally remembered Qiu Qifeng, but she had forgotten that she had just tried to kill his grandson. Lian Zhiyu, accustomed to her arrogance and knowing only of her powerful background and her father in the Reverse Soul Realm...

She likewise didn’t know that when pushed too hard, anyone can become desperate.

Meanwhile, Qiu Baichu and all the other students and instructors of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace were also looking up at the sky.

Seeing that there was no response, Junior Sister Luan finally exclaimed excitedly, ”It seems the Palace Master himself wants Lian Zhiyu dead!”

Nodding heavily, Qiu Baichu trembled slightly all over. His grandfather was finally willing to fight back.

Under Sikong Jing’s influence, he had completely rebelled!

Pft...

Suddenly, a gun light like a comet swept through, fiercely penetrating the body of the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon. Looking from below, it seemed as though the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon had been brutally impaled from front to back.

It was as if strung up on a grill.

A heaven-shaking scream tore through the clouds as the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon fell with Lian Zhiyu, creating a resounding boom.

After convulsing a few times, the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon completely stopped breathing.

And on its back, Lian Zhiyu was stunned and terrified as she trembled, clutching her sword and yelling, ”Qiu Qifeng, if you don’t save me, believe it or not, my father will annihilate your entire War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.”

However, the surrounding area remained silent, and Qiu Qifeng had long since left.

The next instant, Sikong Jing descended on the Ice Soul Cold Eagle, pointing his spear at Lian Zhiyu and said, ”If I’m not mistaken, Palace Master Qiu and the others must have gone to the War Soul Star Palace. Even if they come back, it will be too late.”

Sikong Jing guessed the intention of Qiu Qifeng and others to leave, thus spreading the word accordingly...

Hearing this, Lian Zhiyu felt a continuous chill, fearfully looking at Sikong Jing.

”Sikong Jing, you can’t kill me.”

”My father is a powerhouse of the Reverse Soul Realm, the highest layer of powerful figures in the East Plain Northern Land, you can’t afford it.”

Sikong Jing’s statement implied no one could save her anymore, as ordinary instructors were no match for Sikong Jing, let alone the students of the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.

Now, in her fear, Lian Zhiyu could only resort to frantic threats, flaunting her father from the Reverse Soul Realm.

But, Sikong Jing coldly responded, ”Can’t afford it? I’d really like to try.”

With that, Sikong Jing thrust his spear into Lian Zhiyu’s chest, not giving her the chance to speak or even plead for mercy.

”You you you... you’re audacious.”

Lian Zhiyu’s eyes widened in madness and indignation as she fell.
