Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill thought for a moment and ended up placing only 20 purchase puppets.

The Undead Tribe no longer needed him to provide various potions... William, no, rather the God of Time and Space over these years has developed the basic industrial line built for him in Fran to an unimaginable degree.

Various energy potions, and the conversion between elements and energy is easily handled, the Undead Tribe no longer needs to buy potions from Hill.

Hill realized this when he was in Toril.

But in this world, he has yet to find any special items to sell... Hill still hopes to maintain Agleya’s special status.

No matter how much the Undead Tribe liked Agleya and Lynn, without any major tasks or needs, they wouldn’t consider Agleya as their capital city.

Keep in mind, Hidden Town has Edna, and both Anmur and Kalinsan are being rebuilt, positioned in the south, closer to those chaotic lands of Harua, offering a multitude of combat tasks... Even Luskan, has a significant number of escort tasks due to commercial interactions with Icewind Valley.

For Northerners who have lost Deepwater City, Agleya is valuable, but for the Undead Tribe, it is merely a place to rest and stop.

While many love to visit, those who stay long-term are few.

After all, they have tablets, and Kalinsan has a main base within the forest, the Undead Tribe doesn’t need to travel all the way back to Agleya.

Hill hopes to keep Agleya as the focal point for the Undead Tribe until Lynn can fully control the real power in North Sword Bay.

Those special and precious gemstone jewelry are his way of keeping these Undead Tribes drawn.

Indeed, few can afford these jewelry, but the commercial ecosystem surrounding these people will inevitably be lively.

Purchasing and snatching... where merchants gather, they won’t miss the opportunity to do business.

To the Undead Tribe, Agleya is a place to visit when they need to shop.

After Deepwater City was completely destroyed as rumored, Hill knew the position of Agleya had become overly sensitive.

Even though Deepwater Harbor has disappeared, the dimensional gate to the Stellar Realm remains.

The place still remains very peaceful, all passing merchant ships, regardless of origin or faction, act honestly, completely abiding by the many rules of Agleya because they know that no matter how they plot, it’s futile against overwhelming power.

With the Undead Tribe in Agleya, one cannot simply stack human lives.

Ironically, Agleya is not afraid of higher-level powers... The Toril Gods wouldn’t dare to easily touch Hill’s territory.

The disparity between effort and reward would be too great, making them choose another target to plot against.

However, mortals wouldn’t stop scheming because of the lord’s strength.

Even if Shaer’s Envoy of the Night abandoned wreaking havoc in Agleya for some reason, the deities in the dark are not limited to her.

No matter how confident Hill is in his puzzle lock, he doesn’t think his domain is free from shadows.

Yet, wherever the Undead Tribe remains, these shadows would only stay in the shadows, not bold enough to step into the starlight.

The Undead Tribe forever finds the most inexplicable foes in the most improbable places.

Thus, Hill must maintain Agleya’s appeal to the Undead Tribe... he understands that for them, even the most beautiful past, the most gorgeous scenery holds only verbal value.

As for when the Undead Tribe leaves... it will depend on how many times Lynn advances by then.

The longer the time, the more prosperous the city, the louder the reputation, all would make Lynn bound to Agleya immensely powerful.

Combined with Agleya’s reputation almost dubbed as a city of gathering gods... currently, Lynn likely already possesses demigod strength.

Moreover, as Lynn’s connection with Agleya further deepens, he can even directly command the puzzle lock.

Although he still can’t reach Hill’s core foundation, if it’s merely for usage, Lynn’s authority matches Hill’s.

Hill believes once all troubles vanish, Agleya’s Lynn City Official can effortlessly control everything.

This is why Hill has always been so invested in Agleya.

What he cares about isn’t some territory in Toril, but Lynn’s future, having fused himself with Agleya.

Hill sometimes feels helpless; his friendship with Lynn drove him to mold Agleya to its current form, while Lynn, sensing Hill’s emotions, dedicated himself.

Then, due to Lynn’s dedication, Hill put even more into Agleya... Lynn, naturally did the same.

It’s like an endless cycle.

Therefore, Hill would absolutely not forge another city like Agleya unless under special circumstances.

Certainly, there’s no second Lynn to compel him to do so.

As Hill concluded and redesigned the latter part of the Magic Tower’s lower floor hall, beside his 20 purchase puppets appeared 100 large purple diamond-shaped crystal stones, each unique.

They were beautiful, mysterious, crystalline, and radiant.

This was an entirely different new type of puppet from Hill’s shopping device model.

Even Lansendel’s larger, golden puppets with screens that occupy two-thirds of their size can’t compare.

Although the Crystal Stone is diamond-shaped overall, each large surface has countless small facets... The Undead Tribe only needs to press their hand on it to receive or report tasks.

This type of puppet, although very pretty, clearly can only be used for information transfer-type tasks.

Missions like Lansendel that require a lot of materials to be handed over definitely can’t use this.

Moreover, the task rewards from Shaer’s mission clearly belong to the small but uniform category... so there’s no need to consider the size issue.

But, just the appearance alone beats everything.

Hill couldn’t help but twitch his lips after confirming the use of that thing.

Whether it was William asking the God of Time and Space to custom create for Shaer, or the God of Time and Space making it on his own for William’s sake... it’s actually quite astonishing.

Really wondering if the God of Time and Space had some family meeting with AO.

”Wow, so pretty,” Lansendel stared at the hall below and murmured, ”Turns out, there are so many kinds of purple!”

Indeed, it can be used to make a color chart... although in some places it’s clearly composed randomly, collecting and mixing so many purple pigments is just too incredible.

”Hill, do you think William could custom make something in rose gold and red for me...”

Lansendel’s overly fanciful remarks prompted Hill to directly cut in: ”If you have a price that can move him, William might be willing to do it for you.

Of course, it certainly won’t be in this diamond-like shape.

Do you have it?

Look at the lonely two hundred units below, or go check out the warehouse in your Divine Kingdom?”

Lansendel quickly shut his bird mouth... he clearly wasn’t fit for thinking about such extravagant deals.

When Josh appeared on the central platform of the hall, the ’Perfect Baldy’ finally led people out of the underground maze.

Actually, he could have come out earlier.

However, those somewhat tired from walking accidentally stumbled, and Mr. ’Magic Sword’ ended up hand-supporting on a wall covered with black and red Mana Patterns.

Fortunately, the leading ’Perfect Baldy’ perfectly judged the direction to go based on the terrain.

Unfortunately, part of the maze they had walked was in vain.

Though in consideration of ’Perfect Baldy’ leading the way, the other two didn’t directly take action, they still cursed all the way.

The Undead Tribe in the hall watched with great amusement.

Of course, mainly because the finally cracked ’Lu Huayu’ spoke up, and his exchange with the ’Young Master’ was indeed quite shocking.

This made the boring waiting time for the task to begin extremely interesting.

Even though everyone understood that ’Lu Huayu’ was doing this to give the outside world the impression that he and the ’Young Master’ had reconciled, the management of Black Rose still found it hard to accept.

But, what could they do?

Simply follow along and scold Magic Sword... ’Perfect Baldy’ kept silent not because he didn’t want to curse.

It’s just that, knowing how many people were watching their performance, this Black Rose leader decided to settle accounts later.

Not planning to perform along with Road Eunuch... actually compared to the ’Young Master’, he and ’Lu Huayu’ were the ones most at odds.

The ’Young Master’ actually doesn’t dislike people like ’Lu Huayu’ that much.

If not for the Wenjian World Youth Journey family, he actually should be a player walking the Apocalyptic Boss path.

The enmity between him and ’Lu Huayu’ stemmed from a plot, and this kind of hatred can be dissolved with one party’s submissive apology and sincere recognition of mistakes.

But the dispute between ’Perfect Baldy’ and ’Lu Huayu’ is entirely due to personality mismatch.

This is a grievance that can never be dissolved.

Even though their mutual hatred isn’t that deep, it lasts endlessly forever.

So in this maze, ’Perfect Baldy’ was unexpectedly very serious.

The Black Rose people also understood why their clan leader was behaving this way, but perhaps because ’Snow Cloud Peak’ had given preemptive instructions, they didn’t dig up past grievances.

Instead, they focused their words on ”Even if Magic Sword is foolish, it’s not up to ’Lu Huayu’ to curse.”

Hill glanced at ’Snow Cloud Peak’ standing among the Magic Cult crowd... although he was one of the first to climb the mountain, by the time he walked into the hall, about two-thirds of the Magic Cult had already arrived.

Clearly, no family member bothered to help him, including ’Susu’, who was very nice to him.

Almost without words, one could fathom the past hardships endured.

Otherwise, no matter how laid back, someone would lend their own leader a helping hand.
