Surviving The Fourth Calamity

AO’s words are actually quite interesting.

In his mouth, the God of Order is just a group of ordinary people who use the majesty of their appearance to cover up their inner fragility... even including himself.

This is just something to listen to.

At most, it’s the group of Gods of Order setting some rules to ensure everyone abides by them so that their own members don’t undermine each other.

Going out in uniform absolutely isn’t any trouble, nor can it drastically change a person’s temperament.

This old man is very bad, always digging pits when he’s bored.

If Hill and Lansendel truly believed in oppression among the Gods of Order, it might lead to a huge disaster.

Hill also doesn’t think there would be gender inequality among the Gods of Order.

In a certain sense, they are actually the most equal group... but only among themselves.

But it’s quite normal, even elves, higher beings with billions as their base unit, look down on short-lived races. So it’s normal for Gods of Order, who are born with powerful Divine Power, regarding other lives as inferior, though it is cold and shameless.

Although Hill despises it, he won’t scorn others’ customs. He can only ensure that he doesn’t look down on anyone... including these racists.

So among these Gods of Order, all distinctions are still based on their abilities and personal relations.

Therefore, AO’s true meaning can only be that the Goddess Cosette naturally changed her image during the unified image transformation period of the Gods of Order to become her current appearance.

And that time was also when Asmodeus and his Battle Angels were at their most innocent... just freshly colored by the Gods of Order, knowing only to courageously fight for their Creator God.

Keep in mind, the unparalleled beauty of Asmodeus is not the imagination of mortals. It comes from universal praise by all deities.

And this kind of peerless beauty, penned and drawn by himself... if Cosette truly loved beauty, the issue definitely arose during this period.

So, to bring it back, since Cosette became the way she is today... was Asmodeus ever truly innocent?

This blank paper was probably not a color spectrum blended from the most complicated and incredible palette?

The Pool of Life might not really be persecuted to the point of inability to resist, right?

Hill completely doesn’t believe that relying only on the former King of Angels could suppress such a powerful God of Order.

Note that even though it was identified that she was off early, AO never said anything about Cosette being unfit to be one of the five permanent directors.

Obviously, Cosette’s ascension relied not on popularity, but on strength.

Also, they have been their own people for millions of years, understanding each other can’t be as intimate as family, but it shouldn’t be unclear about colleagues’ levels.

However, they were indeed overly confident... so confident that they never doubted Cosette’s performance.

”But such a huge change. Didn’t any of you feel anything?” Celene thought for a moment, still somewhat incredulous, ”Isn’t that directly jumping from Shuni to Shantia?

If Shuni suddenly became that way, I would shove her into the Pool of Radiance no matter what!”

”That’s Heavenly Mountain!” AO sighed helplessly, ”Do you think the Pool of Life’s effects are inferior to the Pool of Radiance?

Moreover, Cosette inherently has a competitive nature, and she loves representing Heavenly Mountain to awe various God Systems.

Her personality in this aspect hasn’t changed, just putting on a bit of a show... what does that matter?

Back then, Gods of Order quite... quite enjoyed showing off their majesty.”

Apparently, AO is now quite mindful of his own image.

Resolutely avoiding all behaviors of criticizing himself.

You could say, criticism can’t be done.

However, if considering Cosette as the eyes left on Heavenly Mountain by Asmodeus, Hill can understand where the Lord of Hell’s absolute confidence for this strike comes from.

If he were to lose, then there would be something spooky indeed!

Afterward, Hill belatedly remembered another matter... Aislin and Glaysia.

The reason that Princess of Hell firmly believes that as long as she has a trace of soul, she can control everything, without worrying that the soul would counteract her once it grows... probably stems from seeing her father’s achievements from Asmodeus.

Though it might not be as incredible an example as Cosette, the Lord of Hell absolutely also controls other similar existences.

However, the flesh and blood being Glaysia probably didn’t think, with the intrinsic core being a Life Crystal like Asmodeus, every trace of soul has endless life force... it would automatically grow.

Her case is how much it started with, it remains the same afterward!

If the Soul Attribute is much worse, it might be at most, but she insists on using soul fragments with Divinity!

Hmm... although those materials are ones Hill can’t touch and doesn’t want to touch, he still thinks Glaysia is just a foolish waster of things!

Hm?

Hill suddenly remembered the little girl played by Asmodeus himself on Edna’s Path of Destiny.

So brilliantly acted... able to pretend innocence and purity, yet also seductive and charming, she could even make several men fight desperately for her with just a smile!

Hill used to think this Lord of Hell was quite skillful... but now it seems, isn’t that called practice makes perfect?

Hill even figured out why Asmodeus had to take her back to Hell... Before he completely severed ties with Heavenly Mountain, he could control this soul through the Pool of Life.

But in the future, the Pool of Life will never help him again.

No matter how smoothly those two are cooperating now, it’s all just their last frenzy.

Once Asmodeus leaves Heavenly Mountain, he will only be the Lord of Hell.

Positive energy to him now is just hot water.

But in the future, it’s almost like boiling oil.

Therefore, Cosette is bound to be exposed.

The Pool of Life may help him, but he cannot do it himself.

Just like how the Child of Nature inherently cannot use certain biological materials to make things, nor can he eat the flesh of intelligent creatures... whether those creatures are his enemies or evil has nothing to do with it.

This is the requirement of the Law to them.

As a manifestation of positive energy, the Law imposes even greater restrictions on the Pool of Life.

Otherwise, with his energy reserves, how could the God of Order have plotted against him for so many years... Of course, now it can be seen that although he didn’t completely escape, he did resist.

Even if at first there was no suspicion that the actions of the God of Order were intended to plot against him, the naive Pool of Life still placed a hidden hand on his first child.

As for how Cosette became unlucky... lust-driven creature, who completely dismissed Asmodeus and didn’t feel the Pool of Life could do any harm, must have gone to the Pool of Life for a rendezvous.

Although it’s all white there, the Pool of Life is clearly more vigorous and thriving, if one were to live on the peak of Heavenly Mountain long-term, after entering there, one would probably also feel spring’s infinite beauty.

”So, AO, rather than saying Cosette is controlled by Asmodeus, isn’t it more accurate to say it’s the Pool of Life?” What Hill could think of, Shaer surely had no trouble with.

She went further and directly questioned: ”Exactly what makes you all unresponsive to her excessive connection with the Pool of Life?

No matter how strong the Pool of Life is, it is always necessary to maintain continuous connection with Cosette to sustain that degree of control... I don’t believe you, wouldn’t see it!”

”It’s not just Cosette trying to control the Pool of Life through the Battle Angel.” AO reluctantly spoke the truth, ”She just, did more... But, who would think she has issues?

Besides, she was the one who led the expulsion of the Battle Angel at that time.

The first one to express dislike for becoming ugly, all dark and red all over, was also her.

You see her current appearance, Shaer.

Do you think it’s abnormal for such a Cosette to reject the filth she sees in her eyes?”

Hmm... indeed, Asmodeus was fully prepared before going down to Hell.

”In other words, are you saying you Order Gods couldn’t even handle one Asmodeus?” Although Celene heard the previous parts without understanding, she completely grasped the result and cheerfully delivered a blow.

”It can’t be said like that... They just overlooked the immediate discord.” AO casually severed any entanglement between himself and the Order Gods, ”But, Asmodeus didn’t dare to let Cosette do anything abnormal.

In fact, Cosette is still the one most upholding Heavenly Mountain’s interests.”

Shaer, without hesitation, delivered a heavy hit: ”So, it was she who strongly advocated that Mount Olympia of the Greek Gods be specially permitted to enter Heavenly Mountain, right?”

AO couldn’t reply for a moment.

As the one who cooperated a bit with the Lord of Hell to remove the Greek Gods, he was actually reluctant to admit he was part of the opponent’s scheme.

But, it was very clearly true.

And he worked hard, very actively, to take this blame... The Greek Triad ended up in his hands, who wouldn’t know what tricks he pulled?

Hill pursed his lips... adding a few layers of code and locks to the utmost vigilance in his heart against Asmodeus.

Although the conspiracy lasting tens of thousands of years is terrifying, it can be understood.

Hundreds of thousands of years... and to continue adding more to it... really, it sends chills down the spine.

Fortunately, he’s just a pawn, unworthy of the Lord of Hell’s deep scheming.

”Eh? Hm...” Celene thought for a moment, then suddenly nodded and smiled, ”So, Asmodeus will be unexpectedly attacked, with someone—War Lord Hieronymus from the Order Gods, right?—inflicting heavy injuries on him, which he deserved.”
