Surviving The Fourth Calamity

This time, the unexpected arrival of the God Above Gods has indeed brought him some benefits. Now, Hill has discovered the loopholes in his Magic Tower.

Of course, this actually can’t entirely be blamed on him.

No matter how strong his Alchemy may be, compared to old Mr. AO, who’s been exploiting loopholes for millions of years, he’s just a newbie.

In this respect, Hill would not disparage himself, even suspecting that Fran might have similar difficulties.

Of course, it’s not necessarily because his grandfather couldn’t think of it, but due to the lack of good materials.

Even knowing Hill has many good things at hand, unless it involves life and death or is an emergency, and it’s just lacking a bit, Fran wouldn’t easily ask Hill.

He actually has a mental ledger of these matters.

The relationship with his grandson is indeed close, and he’s willing to contribute for him... but, as an Alchemist Master, seeking necessary materials is part of their self-cultivation.

Being overly reliant on external forces, even ones unlikely to be lost, is not beneficial to him.

Moreover, Fran won’t allow himself to repeatedly request from specific entities indefinitely... doing so, even the best relationships could be ruined by uncontrollable desires.

These points were mentioned by Fran when he explicitly forbade Hill from providing too many materials to him and Adrian.

Of course, Hill understands this.

But he and Fran have a slight difference in assessing the value of materials.

Inside, Hill still has some clarity, knowing there are things even his grandfather can’t easily bring up... Fran would certainly never ask him where he obtained these materials.

So, Hill is now quite accustomed to clearly sorting his internal and external repositories... The external repository is visible to the Tower Spirit, Lynn and Terry, including the Little Fairy Queen and several high-ranking officials of Agleya.

Basically, these consist of public resources, a very small amount of Mithril-grade materials, and some practice items Hill uses.

Whenever there’s a need, they can notify the Tower Spirit managing the warehouse; according to their status, everyone has a certain quota they can receive.

And the Tower Spirit will report directly to List every time there’s consumption.

As long as these Tower Spirits and List are under the same hierarchy, they can directly communicate across world boundaries.

Hill didn’t understand this before but realized it after he left Teraxil about the world’s peculiarity... not to mention entities like the Tower Spirit, even the Spirits of Nature, are not prevalent in every world.

Normally, even in a world abundant with Force of Nature, the entities likely to be born are natural beings like Little Fairies.

Although Spirits of Nature aren’t that strong, when compared with Little Fairies, one can see how powerful Teraxil’s Force of Nature is.

Including the birth of the God of Time and Space, it’s not only because he’s strong but also due to peculiar conditions... The River of Time and Space passes through countless worlds, but this doesn’t mean those worlds can easily send people into it.

The oddly broken Teraxil is like an illusory hook, mysteriously piercing a hole in the River of Time and Space, and hooking a fish hook.

Then, the rare God of Time and Space, who meets all the standards of the River of Time and Space, can truly access its core.

All this relates to Teraxil’s uniqueness.

The God of Time and Space naturally understands this, so he always regards himself as the God of Time and Space of Teraxil, even if he could master the entire River of Time and Space in the distant future.

Of course, this is great news for Teraxil.

First, their world is certainly very safe... apart from the World Tree and the River of Time and Space, unless interests exceed certain levels, the Wise Ones wouldn’t easily target Teraxil.

Regarding the turmoil of this world... When the Lord of Hell orchestrated plots against Teraxil back then, Teraxil wasn’t in its current form.

An endangered world, no matter how strong its backing is, if destroyed, it’s simply destroyed.

And afterward, they might make the mistake again, naturally because the interests are enough to make Asmodier willing to bear the hatred and troubles that follow.

But if it couldn’t be achieved, the Lord of Hell wouldn’t care much.

These unparalleled powers rarely vent on innocents for failures that can’t be reversed, but mainly because the ’others’ should not be easy to crush.

If they are, then crushed they would be.

However, this kind of thing, both in ancient and modern times, regardless of which world, is the same; once you’re the villain, who can expect sympathy for the weak?

Anyway, Hill finally got used to the weak not being the world under protection.

Although internally he still grumbles, he no longer experiences huge emotional waves because of it... If it were him now, he might find it difficult to establish a friendship with William.

But Hill is also grateful that during his purest times, living in the world of the past, he encountered William and the Undead Tribe... this way, he never had to kill another version of himself with his own hands.

He only needs to grow slowly.

Precisely because of the Tower Spirit’s uniqueness, even when not in those worlds, Hill can know what changes have occurred.

Then, the Divine Artifacts of the God of Time and Space, always situated in Hill’s territory... that elder never freeloads, understanding how to share interests.

Therefore, he allows Hill to use his Divine Artifact every year as a transfer station to transport resources to various territories.

This is the reason why Hill dares to open stores everywhere, even if they are limited distribution stores.

Anyway, apart from situations where he must show politeness like now, he basically never stops his alchemy production.

There’s always something in his hands being made.

The intrinsic value of these items is not high; it entirely depends on their added value... but if the materials themselves aren’t some world’s specialty, they won’t trigger some chain reactions.

Therefore, Hill is also very willing to manage his territory with such a simple method.

His sense of responsibility is heavy; he cannot let those willing to follow him fend for themselves.

Moreover, he doesn’t need to deal with these trivial matters himself; List can handle them completely.

The Central Repository is a manifestation of all his resources: the resources inside are very comprehensive, but in general, the quantities are not large.

If there’s a sudden need, or when relatives like Fran come, the Central Repository will open to him.

In the heart of an Alchemist Master, as long as they have precious materials it’s enough; few Alchemist Masters would use rare materials as if they were steel.

Therefore, these are sufficient for Fran as well.

The last time he came, he used the finished Strange Objects he had on hand to exchange with Hill for quite a lot of good materials.

Of course, he actually gifted a portion to Hill... but that was a grandfather’s gift to his grandson.

Fran is always clear about public and private matters.

Thus, Hill’s warehouse basically emerged because of this reason... and in this warehouse, both Lynn and Terry can enter, but only up to them.

As for his Inner Repository.

Ha~ Hill now finally realizes how enormous the fortune he carries with him is.

After all, there are even a few half-plane boxes inside.

Just one of these boxes can be exchanged for most of a Toril Level 30 Archmage’s assets.

That idiot Valkin, if she tries to cause trouble again, Hill can crush her with money, making her a complete laughingstock.

Ha~ who would believe in a Goddess of Wealth who was crushed to death by someone else’s money?

Amanata, after losing all belief, still had a day to live and return, Valkin better not dream about that!

After leaving Toril, Hill summarized his Toril journey, only to find that the only one inexplicably harboring murderous intent towards him was Valkin.

Others, including Ambori, even Talos, only fought because of disagreements based on their positions, fought, and let the victor be determined.

Even Ambori would not harbor murderous intent towards Hill just because she lost too badly... though she is less intelligent, she at least knows who her true enemy is.

But Valkin is different.

Hill just doesn’t understand the comings and goings among the deities, which is why he feels Valkin’s picking a quarrel with him is normal, but as his interactions with the gods get more and more frequent, he becomes more and more aware of some common rules among the deities, and Hill can confirm, Valkin’s hostility towards him is definitely not normal.

That Goddess of Wealth most likely has some issues, not merely because of her miserable experiences in the Bottomless Abyss that made her half-mad.

Therefore, after returning to Toril, the reason she chose to avoid those friends who used to be devoted to her and could even completely return her divinity might be because she’s afraid that they discover something.

But no matter how Hill thinks, he can’t figure out who would hate him so much.

Of course, Gewoosh certainly wants to kill him now.

But at that period, he hadn’t seen Hill as a child of the World Tree Family... Hill can now confirm that in the eyes of those powerful divine powers in the multiverse, his little elf heritage doesn’t really count; his position always belongs to the World Tree.

So Valkin’s hostility towards him can’t be because he was richer than this Goddess of Wealth, right?

Ha~

Hill suddenly remembers that he had been to an auction in Ferunryel, had come into contact with gold coins made with her divine power... was that when Valkin started wanting to kill him?

It’s just that the world changed too fast, she hadn’t even had time to act before True Gods from Toril seized the opportunity.

She couldn’t untangle her grievances in time, let alone dealing with Hill.

So... was Hill’s fall to Toril really an accident?

What was it for?

Fortunately, AO didn’t come in vain... he, the old one, and it’s unclear if it was intentional, avoided the Magic Tower’s defense, leaving traces that Hill can clearly see.

Moreover, he also had enough special materials to lock that peculiar soul force... more precisely speaking, it should be the will of the deities.

Although many things happened, Hill gained a lot, especially the special materials in the starry sky.
